One of the LEO requirements is to have microphone And use voip. Its in the ooc requirements feel free to check it up on gov forums. So yeah if you are a cop you have to use voip And saying 3 times taser before tasing someone is nothing. I think why a lot of Leos are mad is the fact that they will loose I win button.

If you wanted me to check it, would've sent me the link, though I am well aware of their OOC requirements. There were days when I could use my VOIP, and there were other days when I couldn't and I was already in the faction, so what is your point? That will remain. If in certain circumstances I am in a position where I cannot use VOIP, then that's that for you x.

Otherwise, the law says nothing (even irl since that's what you are basing it on) about yelling taser three times before shooting. That is a matter of local policy. It is also for officers' discretion prior to using it, so if someone doesn't yell it - doesn't mean they are automatically fired or reprimanded. Every policy breach can be justified to make it a legitimate breach. So this whole 'suggestion' to put rules in can be simply suggested ICly to PD - 'make a taser policy', but again... you'd rather go OOC, that's expected. 🙈

Irl tasers have two shots. They gets used after the suspect is consistently resisting like 20 minutes for example. Have you ever seen bodycam footage from irl cops who use tasers And How long they should Wait… Also they have to call an ambulance after someone being tased. So yeah the way the system works is unrealistic. If cops d use other methods of stopping a suspects than instantly tasing them with no warning what so ever (irl cops have to scream taser taser taser befor shooting it) criminals would be way friendlier about it. Like 90% of Střeštík on my crim character goes the same i get tased cuffed put into cruiser the end no interaction what so ever. And I believe Thats poor quality RP

Yes, because I carry one. There are Tasers that have only two prongs, you can swap an additional cartridge. Axon have also released the one where you can flip the taser to the left and right to change cartridges without actually removing it physically. They DO NOT get used after the suspect is resisting for 20 minutes - mfs run away and get tased in a heartbeat at times. Ambulance is called in to remove the prongs, not for the fact that someone was tased. Irl cops do not have to scream taser taser before shooting, however are advised to in order to make colleagues aware and other members of the public; that is a tactical decision to yell or not, policy =/= law and a break of one can be easily justified. 👾

This is a VOIP based server so it should be a problem.

So you're automatically discounting others that do not use VOIP? This being primarily VOIP based server doesn't mean that those that choose not to use VOIP should be put in a position to use it. Inconsiderate of you.

  4. 'The use of taser should be announced with "taser taser taser" like IRL while giving suspects a chance to react'

That's just funny. As if I have to type in words irl or click my keyboard's 'N' to speak.

'There should be prohibited use of tasers during on foot chases - because we have tackle animation which can be used and yeah I believe on foot chases can be a lot of fun and can promote more RP, not like every foot chase being ended with 5 cops firing tasers on you every few seconds. IRL its quiet common to have on foot chases with no use of tasers.'

That's quite literally the only time you should be using it. Not in water, not when people hopping over fences or driving cars... when they're on foot and running.

A lot of arguments 'because this is the way irl' and then you drop something that is very far fetched from irl.

I have frequently seen on police live shows, that they announce "Tazer Tazer Tazer" before using their tazer, i agree (In the UK)

However, what you are talking about is internal IC policy (Force Continuum), and would likely be addressed better of an IC nature. With LSPD/GOV etc.

Since I don’t have my laptop, not able to write an essay out, but made me chuckle when I read ‘announce before using force’ in the original post. Since it appears this is mostly mentioning the UK, breaking policy as long as you can justified will land you no punishment or reprimand. Breaking the law is another matter. Announcing the use of force prior to using it is a choice for a police officer to make. Personally I’d never unless I was trying to challenge someone for the purpose of ‘scaring them’ into surrender. Whether someone deploys a baton and strikes or PAVA spray — officers can announce or not, up to them, though advised not to so the person remains exposed and ‘vulnerable’ to those being effective. Tasers, similar to red-dot challenge on the taser, is a choice of an officer. I have seen a person being tased with nothing said, and I have seen an officer say ‘I got my taser out’ or yell ‘TASER TASER’ prior to deploying.

Also TPAC trained officers WILL NEVER announce or give ‘demands’. If they want you off the road, you are coming off the road.

    But this isnt California

But the same concept applies to the rest of the United States, and that's where the State of San Andreas is being roleplayed as. New York? You can pay online. Texas? You can pay online. Washington? The answer remains, and that's just to name a few, you can google the rest of the states as you see fit. You can pay online. California was an example, hence why I said "just an example".

Not in the part of Canada i live in, if i wanna pay a fine, i need to head to my local court house to pay the tickets. It isn't suppose to be convenient, its meant to be part of the punishment for being a moocha!

But this isn't Canada, though. In California, you can pay it in person, by phone, via mail or online — so why not present that option to the players? 🤷‍♂️
    That's just an example from the County of Santa Clara;

Yes, we are playing an 18+ game. Regardless of what age is playing the video game designed to be 18+, It is their responsibility to accept that. It is not up to the majority to provide a safe environment for people that are overly sensitive to comments or behaviors. So yes, hold people accountable. Hold them accountable for their OOC behavior not their IC behavior.

I find a lot of things people do or say to be ignorant. The thing is, it is their choice to act like that and their choice to behave the way they do. Maybe they were not raised correctly, maybe they have some internal struggles going on. Regardless, at the end of the day. Its the internet as you said, the timeline is irrelevant, whether its 2021 or 2008. Its still a cesspool of races, gender, people, backgrounds.

I by no means consider myself sensitive or soft. Yet sometimes I'll stumble upon things that I find disgusting or offensive. If I'm exploring the internet and I see something that I dislike or disgusting then I click out. Simple as that. If people cant distinguish the fact they're playing a video game then we have issues. It's the same type of people that cannot distinguish someones IC character v. Their OOC character. (Which is another huge issue on its own).

Growing up playing xbox live throughout my youth and playing these same 18+ mature rated games. My parents were aware of what they were signing me up for when it came to buying me these games. I did too and honestly, words don't even affect me at this point.

We tailor things to the people with no backbone or spine, we tailor things to people that are soft and can't hold their own. Nobody is responsible for making someone else feel "comfortable". Yes we're a gaming community and yes we have OOC regulations on OOC behavior. Sure, rules are rules.

If we're talking about /characters/ that people are playing. Yes CHARACTERS. Let them act like a dickhead if they want to ICly, they will suffer the IC repercussions that come with it.

Never thought I'd find myself agreeing with this, but it's probably the best comment here by far. You deserved a like from me! 👍

+1 if a way for people to sell BTC for San Andreas Dollars is also added... (a.k.a buying credits for people who pay you with IG currency???)

Bit like an exchange? Realism? Not having to grind in-game cus you have no time but have spare discretionary income to help support the server? yes please

Absolutely not. Real-life money should never ever be used to purchase in-game currency. It would literally mess things up, make it worse than it is. No. Only if this currency thing is internal, not reliant on credits.

  10. The prison breakout part is factually incorrect, there have been, and I have been involved myself where Irish have broken out from prison, with the necessary approvals without taking and/or having a hostage. The prison breakout depends on your role-play interests rather than the script, and how far are you committed to the role-play. Even when the person escaped, they were caught back and charges were placed -- they weren't angry, just because of the role-play everyone got to do, which was one of the best things I've seen thus far. Hopefully more people push themselves up to those standards, rather than just escape and log out. Electric boxes wouldn't be realistically in an area that could be easily accessible by an inmate or two, just because... we know what can happen. If doing it, doing it realistic is something that should be looked at, not for the sake of let's smash.

We can see both calls.  But it’s an ic issue if people don’t respond to them.

Not necessarily. There could be OOC issues on why people aren't responding to calls, and they should be addressed.

You can see both calls whenever someone calls for "both", otherwise you have to go into the MDC and look up different, individual calls. If there'd be a redirect system, where a call would be redirected to another department for... whatever reason, it would be more realistic and convenient. But then... you'd expect MD to be around.
