+1 Great idea! Should be implemented ASAP!

+1 Equipment would be cool! Maybe add a gold hunt under sea?

The quiz is too easy in fact!
I reckon anyone who has RP experience or at least a willingness to check what RP even stands for should get in. The answers are literally what you should do in real life.
Just sit down take your time to learn the rules of the server and redo the quiz.
I was literally learning as I went along with the quiz and I got in first time. I had no idea what things like metagaming were before the quiz (never heard of the word in my life) but I still got in.
Good luck and I do hope to see you around because I reckon you’ll appreciate the dedication that a lot of people have for the server!

+1 I like this idea but idk if cops would be able to cope with the added work load as they seem to be struggling as it is with the booming criminal population. Big +1 for the idea tho!

I think it would help a great deal with immersion. Maybe instead of an app, there is a radar scanner you can buy from the shops. It would be illegal so you would need to take it down if you get pulled over. That would be great.
+1 I like the illegal aspect although I do think they’re legal irl. I would want them illegal in game tho!

I think what OP is trying to convey is that texts need not be sent to the players phone? You're obviously correct however. I do agree with OP though, if the mass amounts of speeding texts is causing his text messages not to appear correctly. That's an unintended bug that needs to be fixed or remedied somehow, or just simply avoided. I'm going to have to +1 OP on this one.
Hmmm true true I guess implementing a bug isn’t the way of fixing a problem +1

- I would consider joining the medical services since they seem to be in dire need of players in that faction on my main law abiding character.
Yeah the main reason for this post is my concern as how imbalanced the server is right now.

* The Police Department is actively recruiting, if people do not apply it's their own fault, not the departments.
* LSEMS is under new leadership, give it time to create a new system and get its recruitment stable again, also is waiting for applications, if people don't apply, medical calls will just keep taking longer.
* I do not agree with an XP requirement for people to be a criminal. People need to make money and being a criminal is a good way of doing that aside of jobs. Creating a criminal XP requirement would prevent new players from having things to do aside of script jobs.
* There is no need for a new LEO faction right now, LSPD itself is trying to recruit, With PD itself being understaffed, there is no way a new LEO faction would currently work right now. Were not going to lower the XP requirement either to get into a Government faction, regardless of the influx of players. Im sure in the future a new LEO faction would be possible, but its just not going to happen right now.
* PD and EMS do make advertisements about jobs, it is just UNRP and not realistic for a Government Agency to spam advertisements about jobs.
Obviously all players start somewhere but the hole point of the quiz is to help us know if a player is ready and experienced enough to start here. We very much welcome new players but only if they know the basics to role playing. @FatherOsborn
The department isn't at fault but for a lot of ((New players)) it's not worth joining the PD.

It's not police it's the lack rp people are putting into. It's shame to see when the streamer Sodappopin who plays first time GTA RP is rp'ing better than people here who plays for long time.
That's very true! So annoying and pathetic how some ((New players)) try harder to RP than people who have been here for a while now.

Hello,
The recent flood of people into the server has caused an unbalance; not enough police to deal with the criminals.
Most ((New players)) choose the easy life on a criminal. They pay $10k for a gun license another $8k for a pistol and they're ready to hit stores, chop cars and rob other players. I find it that this way of life is much easier than doing a legitimate job until you reach 2.5k, 4k or 5k EXP to become a Taxi driver, Mechanic or Police officer respectively.
This is also a problem for the Medics as ~70% of my calls are ignored or the Ambulance arrives much too late, because there are too many calls.
(Also BIG +1 for the Border Control idea where new players can be tested and taught how to play on the server - in the border control criminal life should be frowned up and government jobs should be advertised.)
To conclude I reckon more should be done to advertise the life in a government job (I have seen more adverts for Police and Taxi drivers). More should be done to sway new players towards legitimate jobs. such as;
- Increasing the pay or benefits for the base jobs (Bus, Trucker, Postal etc) - Do criminals still receive that $2500 which rises?
- Creating a new department for new players within the police force - which would require 2.5k EXP.
I feel that once a ((New player)) is grasped with the legitimate life they won't become a criminal.

Actually , NCZ's are zones where crimes involving victims are forbidden , speeding is a victimless crime unless you get into a car accident with someone ..
It doesn't say that in the server rules tho

+1 Very nicely made! Let's hope this gets implemented ASAP!!!

+1 I reckon this would be a big addition, because of the constant presence of a taco van at the LS Bank.

-1 From what I've heard from the PD; camera's are a solution to an OOC problem. Camera's are in the NCZ's. This is a place where no crime should be committed and when there is criminal activity ADMINS step in. Hence this isn't supposed to be nice to the player and this is supposed to be a nuisance, to decrease the crimes committed in an area where it's against the server rules to commit a crime.
Server & Roleplay Rules 2019 Edition
"8. No Crime Zones (NCZ)
A no crime zone is an area where players may not commit any actions considered crimes."
This is merely my interpretation of the server rules and cameras, so of course I can be wrong. So, if the cameras are more RP than OOC then the text messages should be reviewed.

Real life speeding cameras capture the license's plate and the owner of the vehicle receives a ticket, and that's how it should be done.
So assuming you are in a stolen vehicle and you are being chased by some people or the police, you start speeding, is it realistic to receive all these speeding tickets?
In my opinion and that's what I strongly suggest.
Non-rp driving for no reason should be handled by the staff team.
Speeding in your personal vehicle get ticketed by "The speeding cameras"
Speeding in someone else's vehicle, the owner gets ticketed or no ticketing meanwhile the car is in theft.
I reckon it would be cool if you still got tickets unless you reported the car as stolen. And if you don't report it as stolen then you'd have to appeal against the ticket.
Can cop cars scan your reg plate and get info on the owner and the car?
If not that would be a cool addition for all patrolling cruisers.

This is already possible. You can sign up for a BLS course with the LSEMS, and if you pass it, you will be able to extend the life of injured people via the use of /cpr.
Where and how do I sign up?

+1 I reckon speed camera detectors would be cool. However, with that it would mean that more cameras would have to be implemented around town so people don't speed through there.

-1 There will always be desync but you shouldn't own an expensive car if you can't maintain it in the server.
Desync isnt part of the RP, so seems unfair to say he cant afford to run a car like that, because he can... just not in a world where cars teleport. And this isnt a problem with the server. There should be some system to cover desync repairs. Idk what could work tho.

Yes, they are visible. Nice to see that you are making a suggestion without even knowing how its currently implemented.
That's why I was asking

Are the camera's visible like boxes or sommat? Maybe implementing signage and the camera box would be cool?
Police Corruption Against Server Rules + Other Suggestions

I don’t know about police corruption. All I know is that criminals laugh at the police, my brother is a criminal and he finds it pathetic how easy it is to out-do the police. Also, apparently the police force aren’t too good at aiming their gun at the criminals.
Big -1 for changing the price of the speeding tickets. It would make it too cheap and people would carry on speeding. The cameras are there to catch you out, as it’s against server rules to commit a crime in an NCZ.
