  1. As much as I love the general idea of having an official University with education, I do not believe interfering with current departmental training methods is the way to go.

As @Aldarine stated above it should rather strive for new players to understand the RP climate in a more immersive way. Giving them the proper RP tools and teaching them different subjects would then make it easier for them to get started and prepared -prior- to applying to a different government faction.

I think directly taking EMS/PD/SD/DOC training protocols is crossing the line.

Issuing free CPR/BLS courses is also another way to kill one of the few incomes EMS has today. We do multiple classes every week and it is one of the best activities giving EMS great marketing as well as a steady financial ground.

    • *Drop at helipad at Sandy Airstrip
    • "/do waiting medical staff pick up <name> and transport them to the nearest medical center"
    • *spawn at Sandy MD.

With the sheriff department out there and more activity growing, there should definitely be a solution for MD, whether it be assignments out there or better air support.

After reading the different suggestions here I think this is my favourite. Let the script give an automated response and have the player RPly transported to Sandy just like @Xoza mentions.

Big +1 for this, we have waited long enough for some sort of Air drop-off support at Sandy.

  3. This is a good suggestion that EMS has discussed for quite some time. We have a real life specialist taking lead of a new division called the Advanced Medicine Division that will enhance RP on calls, share advanced treatments and experiences with other members of MD as well as developing protocols for future surgeons.

Please be patient as we develop this program. Any further suggestions are very welcome 🙂

+1 if you can invest in security systems like an alarm that can be customized to notify police and/or your phone (a criminal might want a text on the phone instead of cops showing up to his house) when the house is broken into and a safe that must be unlocked to help protect the stash

This is a good suggestion. Imagine a very expensive security home alarm system that alerts PD upon being triggered. The system itself would cost between 200k-300k. Would help server economy and also put a more realistic touch to the risky action of actually breaking into someone's property.

On a sidenote I agree with @TheCanadian that the first post should be updated with details as this thread evolves with more ideas and suggestions to the initial idea.

+1: For more realistic In Character Roleplay with script support, such as an expensive alarm system for houses that will alert PD and a more expensive variant of bobby pins to break into houses.

  5. I think this is one way of making Weazel more attractive and noticed. It could be broadcasted (global message) ICly to all players being inside an interior or a car. It could add a realistic touch of getting important live news just like you get them from your car's radio or at home from your television/PC.

  6. Date and time (provide timezone): 24/03/2019 (since the latest update with the updates for LSEMS and LSPD).

    Character name: Erick_Chavez

    Issue/bug you are reporting:

LSEMS: When using /calls, you do not see which unit who responded to a call. We want this feature back, possibly with the callsign that responded within "[]" such as "[E-10 responded]". Prior to the latest update we could see who responded ["Firstname_Lastname responded"]. This makes it difficult for LSEMS staff to figure out the open calls.

Expected behavior: You use /resp for a call and a message from [DISPATCH] comes up with the callsign responding. When using /calls afterwards it should display who responded after the call.

    Example: [667] [911] [00:50] [A man crashed his vehicle] [E-10 responded]

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate:

This is mentioned in a private google document but thought it would be better to create one here as it is quite urgent for our faction to function properly.

  7. I don't see any beneficial reason why this should be changed. Not only is the bank open between 8 and 22, the in-game hours are already 1/4 compared to IRL.

I do have to agree on this from one side. We try to be as realistic as possible COMPARED to IRL, but we don't/cannot have everything we have IRL. IRL, there are far more cars on teh road, so alot of traffic rules. Sadly, GTA got way less.
What I am saying is that Louie does have a slight point in my eyes. IF the speedcamera's should be added, it would make sense to have them into palces where safety is more important and wehre its more croweded (so, NCZ's).
(IMO) we don't always have to have things like IRL, it needs to be balanced and make sense like it does IRL. Imagine the amount of people you encounter in GTA on the highway now... If the highway was so empty IRL the speedlimit was probably set higher.

I still stick to my +1, but again... we need more details to give a proper opinion.

I think we all know that a GTA RP server will never get close to IRL as far as the RP standards are set lower than heavy, which is the case for Eclipse.
The problem here (seen from a very active paramedic's perspective) is that people die every single second from extreme Non RP Driving within LS boundaries. We had close to 200 players on yesterday which caused LSEMS to get 10 calls per minute. 9/10 calls where someone got rammed. We had a situation where we treated a player outside the hospital and a sportscar rammed us (even with the ambulance blocking off the road) while driving 200 km/h. If we catch them which we barely do the easy excuse is "/b I didn't see you" or "/b it was desync".

There is never a simple fix to Non RP standards. 50% are voting no to speed cameras because they feel like cameras are too complex to code or simply because they like driving extreme speeds in the city. I feel like the start of 2019 will be brilliant if players who do not care for their life nor others gets a lesson learned.

I agree that the cameras should be tested at NCZ roads during a stage of R&D. This will definitely help as a vast majority of all IC calls and OOC reports regarding a car crash is outside the bank and Pillbox Hill MD.
