  1. But until that application goes through that civilian is in possession of an illegal firearm, and can be charged and imprisoned. We all know how long the government can take to get things done around here, crime doesn't wait for you to get your weapons license, there's a lot of people who won't be able to legally defend themselves. And what about people who have a previous criminal record but have turned a new leaf and are now hard working, law abiding citizens? Are they no longer allowed to legally defend themselves?

Thank you for the comments, this program is not designed for weapons importers to generate income, this is designed to increase safety within our city as well as allow civilians a method to turn in weapons that are not legally registered without the risk of jailtime or heft fines. I would recommend that people take advantage of this program as it is a limited offer.

    Thank you

    Captain Bacon.

I'm not proposing it's used as a way for weapon importers to make money, but there's a lot of civilians who had legally owned firearms that were completely blindsided by this new law, and now if they want to follow the law they have to turn in their weapons to the police for half the price they paid for them, if not less? People are going to feel like they're being screwed, and I wouldn't be surprised if this turns some towards crime and causes these guns to end up on the streets.

  3. The buyback prices might need to be raised in order to make this program more popular. The guns people would be turning in would easily sell for at least double those prices on the streets. If you offer people more money for their weapons then they'll be more likely to end up somewhere safe instead of in the hands of another criminal.

  4. The distinction between official and unofficial does have some RP to it. An official gang on the server is (RPly at least) more organized, better funded, and more connected. So since they've existed for a while and would have ties and connections that would allow them to import or buy weapons in bulk illegally, a small street gang started last week wouldn't have that same luxury. Instead, with those gangs, what you need is a gun dealer, or people who keep their noses clean that can buy you weapons. You could have a weapons dealer who keeps a clean criminal record and just resells legal weapons to you. What needs to be added for this to happen though is the ability to remove the serial number from a gun (they can be scraped off with a metal file in real life.) This way the guns being purchased legally and used for illegal purposes aren't being traced back to your gun dealer. While there is no script command to remove the serial number from a gun you could always RP filing the number off and keep the proof of RP in case it's ever needed. So while I agree that there is an issue with the implementation of the new update, I don't agree that it was done to "buff official gangs" like you claim it was.

  5. Thank you for all the work you've done Flucifial, good luck in the future and I hope to still see you around in game!

  6. Having a menu that tells people how many cops are on is a terrible idea. The F4 menu used to tell you who was online in each faction and people would use it to find out when no cops/hardly any cops were online and then go rob stores and commit massive crime sprees. There'd have to be some serious changes to criminal RP and the RP needed to commit a heist for me to want to see it implemented, since as of now I believe a lot of criminals would just do it as often as they can, while not worrying about the repercussions they would face if this was real life. If you commit a heist like that you'd have to lay low afterwards altogether, not just from robbing stores, which means that you shouldn't be committing any crime or going out in public, and I imagine criminals wouldn't do that. They'd go through with the heist, get away, and then go back to whatever they were doing and spend the money they made from the heist (which would draw even more attention to yourself IRL). As things stand right now on the server it'd be better for it to be something that could potentially be done if organized with admins to show that it would be a well RP'd situation from all sides. -1 from me for now

you ripped him off selling for it 300k

Someone had just sold a 2 car garage house in the same neighborhood for 250,000 earlier that week so I don't think I was ripping him off. I looked around at prices to figure out what was fair before I sold it

  8. On the topic of potential VIP advertisement boards, what if we could edit billboards to put our own advertisement on it? Not sure if that'd be possible but it could be a cool perk for VIP. Just replacing bleets with some other global ad is a bad idea in my mind though as then it would lead to the same problem that's being dealt with now, where people just use the VIP ads and Weazel has nothing to do
