  1. -1 IRL if there was a gang problem, there would be a large police taskforce response and multiple undercover units. I do love seeing the PD out in their cruisers but the new way they are doing things is fresh and keeps you on your toes as a crim. Once you get used to their new tactics you learn to cover yourself before they get you. Crime and police response constantly evolves, they're learning and responding.
  2. I'd rather have meaningful updates to our gamin experience than more in game cash. just grind a job or join a faction. money isn't meant to be easy to get. I'd much rather know that the Devs are giving us new and exciting things to DO
  3. i had no idea it didn't tell you guys!
  4. Boosting is essentially stealing cars for cash. the way it would work: Crim purchases a laptop and logs into boosting. (laptop can be sold by Civilian stores or specifically Digi-den near police station) Laptop gives you the option of C-S class cars but as you've only just started you can only Boost C class (the lowest class) you secure the job by clicking on the boost you want (just like the view order panel for trucking) your GPS then shows almost a mile radius, you have to circle each street in that radius and find the vehicle requested on the laptop before breaking in and hotwiring. once hotwired an NPC is marked on the map for you to deliver the car to. The more cars you boost successfully the higher tier of car you can boost, the more money you get per car. PD side: you would see slow moving Crim vehicles, active vandalism and the laptop with boosting software would be evidence of "intention to commit theft" The cars would also immediately flag up as stolen and if the lockpick fails PD would receive an automatic call just like with ATMs - none of the cars would have any mods and you'd be able to pretty easily catch them. This should be a risky thing to do for crims but worth it if you're going to get to the S tier
  5. i think instead of items, maybe giving a buff on in game cash of like up to 10% for doing work etc. or the hourly salary you get could be $1100 instead of $1000
  6. 10 minutes is rookie numbers, i've waited days sometimes (I play EU early morning) it's just part of the game, many people have suggested this and it won't change because it's something necessary to roleplay. Cops need to check your licence is valid, and most often its the cadets that show up anyways, which gives them a chance to RP a little with Crims. I like the way it is even if its frustrating sometimes, because it's how I meet the new recruits and I like to RP with them there. it's mostly only when their supervisors aren't available to take them out on duty
  7. as a professional crim with a lot of jail time under my belt, I think the current system is pretty balanced but it could be made better by DOC collecting prisoners with the jail bus instead of Cops taking us in if they're really busy. DOC would get to leave the building sometimes and LEOs would get back to doing what they do best. All LEO's would have to do is Radio DOC collection, if DOC are bust the LEOs take us themselves? could this be a better option?
  8. Agreed, it would also mean that parolees have another incentive to come out of crime
  9. Wheelchairs really don't work that well on Rage unfortunately, it's very clunky desync, but crutches and walking stick is basically just a panim so could potentially work
  10. thank you so much for this detailed response and I'm glad you like the idea, maybe just make it for DOC then? I've seen a couple live streams of DOC work and I think it would be an incredible opportunity for DOC guards to track us once they reach a certain rank/responsibility level. The DOC job role does look unfortunately very uninteresting (just from watching a stream and no personal experience) and I think the ability to be able to get out in vehicles more often to detain broken parole would be amazing. with this new information I do agree that SD and PD shouldn't track us and I stand corrected with this information!
  11. in the Parole meeting it does say we are actively tracked, its literally what we sign up for in exchange for not going to jail for multiple hours, we gotta earn the right to remove convictions!
  12. Hiya! I play Doris and I'm currently on Parole with DOC, courtesy of Chunder currently I have an "ankle monitor" on, which essentially means I can't turn off my phone and I flag up as "Parole" when officers search me name in the MDC, but they HAVE to search my name. I'm loving the roleplay, it's really fresh and fun as a crim, but at the moment I can honestly get away with not telling my gang that I am on parole and cops have literally no idea until they check, is it possible to add an ankle monitor to the game? I'd love for it to be trackable by PD and SD just like you can see their cars on the map, you'd be able to see a Parolee? - In the initial parole meeting we are told that we will be trackable constantly by PD and SD but it seems like that have to track the phone which I'm pretty sure only Detectives and higher can do? I think it would be great RP for PD and SD (if it gets quiet god forbid) to check on the parolee's who seem to be in the wrong place, their location can even be used as evidence to make them a suspect. this could even be something extra that DOC staff get to do, as I know that the prison can be extremely quiet sometimes and it would add an extra layer of RP for them. example: Police is called to burger shot, police check the map and see a parolee is there but when they arrive the place is deserted. they now have suspicion that the Parolee committed the crime I'm hoping the current in game mechanics support this kind of thing already! TDLR: put tracker anklets in the game and show them on the LEO on Duty GPS so they can physically track us as that's exactly what we sign up for. Allow this to be used as evidence to detain suspects.
  13. true! this function definitely needs restricting
  14. it is being completely spammed to gain unfair advantage for people wishing to escalate/start fights and creates an extremely unfair advantage to the person tackling if they are attempting to escalate and prevent a person reacting accordingly adding a 5/10 minute cooldown before you can tackle again means that the person affected can still react without being floored every 5 seconds. this function is being completely abused by people. (obviously I understand that police factions may require this to be unrestricted.)
  15. thinking on this, it's actually a very good idea, but to prevent grinding the points should be capped and redistributed based on character actions. so if your OUT of practice on ATM smashing, you get all 50 skill checks, but you might be better at lockpicking that month.
  16. imagine being signed off by hospital with crutches for a week lmao
  17. Please add the walking stick
  18. Citizens don't have it easy when earning money, especially as crime and factions simply pay more. could we potentially have a small 5% - 10% earnings buff for freelance jobs for citizens who don't engage in crim behaviour and aren't in a salaried faction? I feel like it would encourage more of us to be civilians. feel free to tell me how dumb this is lmao
  19. this ^^ good alternative
  20. I agree that a very select few cops can escalate and be slightly too aggressive for the situation at hand, but a lot of the time they're responding or reacting to things you can't hear or think of. I got stopped once and a full PD Department on me and gunned down because I had an illegal firearm visible that I'd forgotten about - they do normally have their reasons and IA reports do actually work!
  21. the USA is a worldwide meme, and people still use fake guns there
  22. it's more realistic than everyone owning an illegal firearm lol
  23. not a meme, how often to you see hold ups in real life using fake guns?

    Water Guns

Crims should be able to carry fake weapons - these after a short time of being held up to someone would "leak" water. Civilians can also buy water guns without a gun licence as a deterrent to criminals trying to rob them - a UCARA licence can be purchased with a criminal history not involving Aggravated or Armed Robbery. (this is an income for SD and PD and is an Item you must carry on your person along side your water gun) In a store robbery - the water would leak after 60 secs and the store owner would pull the alarm - the time is this much on purpose because crims would be unable to rob a bank with it and would not get much from a store robbery. Face to Face - in a hold up (in an outdoor space) the guns would leak after 30 seconds, giving a DM right to a victim of fake hold up, or allowing a victim to run. Water guns can be purchased from a toy store and an additional item of spray paint is required to make them work on stores. PD can arrest people carrying water guns which are spray painted as "mock firearms" or "failure to provide a UCARA Licence" - but this sentence would be served in PD Cells as IRL is a 25 days sentence.
