@Bill Breacher I understand that, but what about fuel? Medical treatment? There’s no interaction with anyone who fuels your car, and you buy Jerry Cans at stores. Medical treatment is an interaction with an NPC, not an actual person. If anything they should lower fuel and medical prices at least. $1000+ for a gas can is absurd, and $11/gal is just dumb imo

+1 Scriptly there should be a limit on how much the owner should charge for his items. If there is one, then they gotta lower it man. We already get paid barely anything, and we are getting basically PUNISHED for having more money. If you have 1m net worth you are paying 35% which is absurd and it demotivates everyone in playing if they want to do any legal job, which they are not paying a lot already unless you grind 16 hours a day to make 5k+ a hour without the taxes.

11$/gal is the good price tho 🤣

  2. In my opinion the script right now makes no sense since your gun basically floats on your back being attached to nothing. They should move the position of the gun so it is in the pants, would make way more sense than the actual state. If not, as you suggested the holster.

Hello everyone, specifically my roadworking companions!

As a newer player on the server who makes most of their early money doing roadwork, I believe this change would benefit not only newer but seasoned players as well.

As is, mitigating incidents can be a bit frustrating for newer players, as there is no way to tell if someone is already working on a specific aspect of the scene (i.e a barrier or cone), without asking them and getting a response. However, not everyone will actually answer to you, as I found out on my first day. While attempting to clean up a barrier that (unbeknownst to me) a coworker was already removing. I asked him multiple times both through voice and text which barrier he was working on (he was sat between two of them) so that I could work on whichever one he wasn't. When he didn't answer, I picked the one he was facing away from and began dismantling it, only to realize that he had already been working on that one when my action was cancelled. He then immediately began working on the next one, meaning that I was unable to get any work done and therefore not earn my salary.

While it is possible in real life to have an asshole coworker who ignores you, you would also be able to tell what they were working on just by looking at it, which is not always possible in-game when people intentionally attempt to mislead you in such a way.

My suggestion is to change the mechanic to allow only one person to work on mitigating an incident, so that if John Smith is already cleaning up a particular cone, I would physically not be able to perform the action at the same time, therefore eliminating the issue of someone thinking they are the only one performing the action, only to realize someone else already was and therefore losing out on work.

Another solution to this could be to allow more than one person to perform the work, and to speed up the process in relation to the amount of people working on the same incident, and possibly either split the pay equally among them for that object (or not split it and everyone gets the full amount, unless this effects balancing).

I believe this would make it easier, more straightforward, and more enjoyable for everyone, especially newer players, who are not aware of this and therefore get screwed out of their salary.

TL;DR: Make it so only one person at a time can work on an individual object at roadwork scenes, so that newer players do not get screwed out of salary because someone was already working on mitigating an incident that they were unaware of.

Thanks for reading, and I apologize if this has already been suggested, though I did check the suggestions and did not see anything on this specific topic yet. Cheers!

"You cannot mitigate this as someone else is already doing it"

Would be a neat simple QoL change.
    __

A beefier upgrade would be if you do >50% of the time alongside someone who has already started it you get 50% of the pay as well. (Up to max of 1 helper to avoid everyone stacking)
"You helped your co-worker mitigate the site, you earned $xxx"

    +1 on both

Fine tuning this one a bit more.

Player A drives into the car wash because they just did some off-roading and would like their vehicle cleaned. Player B is working the freelance job for the car wash employee. Player B tells Player A where to drive up to. Player A gets out of the vehicle and Player A naviagtes a WI menu to request the car wash and pay for the wash, Player A inputs the license plate of the vehicle they are requesting. Player B gets the notification and has to complete several tasks for the car wash to go through. Once done, Player A can drive out and enjoy their fresh-looking car.

Payment would be uniform and based on the car TYPE. Sedans and compacts would be relatively cheap, sports cars and super cars should be a bit more expensive (not 20k expensive but a bit more)

Obviously, I know nothing about development and programming so take this with a grain of salt.

Irl do you charge someone at a car wash for how expensive their car is? The prices should be equal for every vehicle. Otherwise no one gonna pay 10k for a car wash that it's gonna last a few minutes anyway...

  5. Quote

A player has the option to react if they are in a powered vehicle, if they already have a weapon drawn facing their attacker, or if their attacker's view is obstructed by an object.

Quote from Fear RP. Also if you crash with the Buffalo STX or someone rams you, the windows get broken ( No more armored windows ) So afterall it's not the most OP car when you can easily counter it.

I don't know if this has been suggested in the past but what might be interesting to see is them remove those weird mods from regular mechanic shops and have a "secret body shop" somewhere that you have to find where they offer a range of "illegal" mods. Like bulletproofing a civilian car and hooking your car up with Nitrous Oxide that will give you a speed boost. Maybe other options that aren't coming to my mind right now.

As I said before, Buffalo STX is made by Rockstar Games bullet resistant without any mod or upgrade. It's stock acting like that. You can't get rid of it unless you get rid of the whole car basically. I don't think any modder made a replacement mod of it being non bullet resistant. And I don't see them bother making one, the car is very old and until now no one has ever had any problem or issues with it. The car works how it should, if the Eclipse Staff Team really considers Buffalo STX and MilSpec being a problem they would probably limit them, by putting them at very high price, only credits or removing it from current dealerships and stop selling them at all. Highly unlikely in my opinion, nothing is OP since it's at everyone's finger. The car costs 420k or 7.000 credits.
IF we talk about things being too OP, remember you get 50% more gas if you have VIP+ many more benefits which influence your IC character and your RP.

I don't even think having to go to a mechanic shop as the only way to clean your vehicle is even realistic..

You should be able to clean your own vehicle with a sponge and bucket of soap that you can buy from the nearest store for a 30 second job.

But for a more expensive price, going to a mechanic like LSC or Bayview, the cleanliness would last longer than you doing it yourself.

All they gotta do is bring back Car Washes. I m pretty sure there are a lot of scripts for it. If not, they are easy to script. This way brings more businesses for people to own. The cleaning price to be somewhere around 100-250$ and worst case scenario 500$ maximum, since you can get a full repair for 850$ or 1000$.

I'm honestly on the fence about this idea. It would be a huge change as others have said.. it's an interesting thought and honestly feels like a great idea for another server. Something along the lines of ECRP Civil War. If there was significant amount of RP that happened that caused this sort of divide between the two parts of the map, that would be very cool. I just don't know how it would work exactly.

I think people would become even more hateful, and rude than they already are.

It's the HSW performance upgrades. If you test drive a HSW drag and a non-HSW one, you'll find the non-HSW significantly faster on a straight line. The update itself doesn't mention that its a nerf, because it is still considered an upgrade since it makes the drag handle slightly better with beefier brakes. Tho you won't be able to notice that here since it's nerfed by the server.

However it's supposed to be for PS5,Xbox, not PC

10 objects alone might not create lag, but if everyone in a concentrated area all added an extra 10 objects, it could add up quickly creating lag. Also, there ARE lag issues in this server in some areas for certain people, especially around the MLOs.

Making 40 for houses only would solve that issue. Rendering them when you are extremely closer would fix the problem with flying over too. Also with the new Halloween update no one complains about having lag near MD, near pumpkins, etc. So no, lag is not an issue. If someone has Low END PC, flying over a house with 10 objects will make him lag anyways.

I beg to differ, MD for a good few months had to tell their air team not to fly over a certain location due to the extreme issues caused by an island and now that they're bringing in helicopters for civilians imagine flying over the city with custom MLOs and then if they implemented additional items for those who want to decorate exteriors.

As i said i'm not against this idea i'm more for than against but just thinking of performance issues especially for those who can barely drive in certain areas as it is.

MLOs are the issues, not a house with 40 plants around it.
