Poker needs fixing + Maybe a new script using diamond casino

This hand and many others were lost because a ''Kicker'' influenced the hand when in reality it should have been a tie and a split pot. According to the decision on the refund request, this is seen as intentional and thus I was told to post a suggestion, so here it is.

In Poker there are things called ''Kickers'', these are usually cards that decide tie breakers.

For example: If you have Ace | 10 and someone else has Ace | 9 and the board is 2 | 4 | 6| K | A then the player with Ace | 10 would win with a pair of aces. The reason why it isn't a tie is because the player with Ace | 10 has a higher valued card then the player with Ace | 9 (10 beats 9)

However! This isn't always the case. See poker is a game of who has the best five cards, even if it doesn't look like it in the first place. To borrow a brief explantion from a poker website.

''You have A7, your opponent has A6:

AA234 is the flop. you win, your hand is AAA47, your opponent hand is AAA46

AAJQK is the flop. You split with your opponent, both of you have the same hand, AAAQK

the best hand involving Straights, flushes and straight flushes never involve kickers. In the case of a straight it is always how high a straight is that determines if the pot is won or split. If you both have the same straight you split the pot, if one has a higher straight that one wins. If the entire straight is on the board it is a tie and the pot is split.''

In essence, the current way the poker script works is it always takes into account that 6th card, which in the cases of straights that are the same it shouldn't. I have no idea why this was built intentionally, as the resolution to my refund request claimed, but I and other players who spend a considerable amount of time playing poker, would like it to change.

Additionally, I am aware there is other issues with the poker system, although I don't have an explanation on hand, if anyone who has had a wide range of experience with them wants, they can post them here as a way to compile everything that needs to be changed and fixed.

As it stands people are going to play poker with the common understanding of how it works and when they suddenly lose a big hand with the full understanding they should have won or at least tied they'll get their refund requests denied because this poker system is ''expected'' to work this way, which I don't think is the sort of standard this server should be setting. To put it into perspective, imagine if someone buys a burger from a 24/7 and as soon as they do they automatically lose $25,000, now imagine they try and complain about this and submit a refund request just to be told that the system was designed that way and thus isn't a bug....

Would be cool if a new improved poker system with high-stakes and low-stakes was implemented, maybe something in Diamond Casino using some of the added gambling features that were added in the Casino DLC

No doubt they need to fix the poker script it is just so messed up. The first time I played poker in Eclipse Roleplay I went in with 4k I came out with 110k because I got three of kind, straights, flushes every hand. For the next 5 days, I lost everything just because the highest hand I had was a pair. I'm good at poker, but poker is this server is just so messed up. The next 5 days I didn't get anything better than 1 pair, while one guy gets straight every 3 games. It is so messed up that it ruins the fun of poker. It's rigged, messed up.
