Ideas for Electric Car Addition

Recommended Posts

GTAV has a lot of vehicles that are meant to represent electric vehicles and I'd love to see them get added into the city. It'd give dealership owners a boost and more options of vehicles.

I don't know how probable this is to ever make it's way into the city but these vehicles could work by still pulling up to a gas station in front of the fuel tanks and instead of /refuel it can be /recharge at a fraction of the cost of gas, though it would take slightly longer to charge than refueling takes. This would also help on those rare moments when the gas stations are out of fuel because the electricity will always be there and doesn't require delivery.

It just gives another fun layer for people who want to RP a greener more high tech city.

Here is an IC post about wanting these on lifeinvader.

Tezerac, Neon and Raiden are already in ECRP and work..

I do agree that the /recharge should be a thing instead of spending money on fuel and having a fuel/gas counter instead

Sorry yeah that was just a random picture I found online of the electric cars that are in gtaonline. They run on gas in the city right? I don't know how it would work for those that already OWN those cars. But You get the jist of adding vehicles that aren't in game yet to make electric and what not.

There are actually several electric vehicles in ECRP. However they need to be 'flagged' as electric and treated differently.

  • Dilettante
  • Surge
  • Raiden
  • Neon
  • Khamelion

There does need to be some kind of balance/cost to electric though. Like, a quarter of the cost, but runs out 4 times faster.

Could allow a very slow recharge while it's daylight. Could in reference to NPC Trucking jobs for chargers to continue operating, there needs to be regular delivery of fuel to the power plant. A furniture item, or designated areas for recharging around the city can be installed. Often charging stations are found in parking lots.
