Question About Giving Vehicle Keys

I know that the command /giveKey [ID] true will give a perm vehicle key to a player. However, can you take that perm key back by using /removeKey [ID], or does this only work for temporary keys? Also, how long does a temp key last? Thank you!

you can indeed remove a permanent key using /removekey.

Temporary keys last untill the person that recieved those logged out.

Keep in mind though that after last big update vehicles will despawn if the actual owner isn't online for 2 hours. This is because of the amount of players/vehicles on the server right now.
And also maybe good to know is that permanent keys always stay. Even if you transfer a vehicle or sell it on the high/low-end market, people that you gave a permanent key to will still have that key when there is a new owner.

So even if I give a perm key, after 2 hours of me not being online the car will still despawn? Im trying to find a way to rent my cars out, without being ripped off while being convenient for the person renting.

You could probably make an OOC agreement of you transferring the vehicle to the renter, to keep the RP going, and in case of the renter not being willing to transfer it back when the time comes you can get admins involved.

If RPLY you own it, but you transfer it for the sake of script limitations, im sure they would help out, and it is probally allowed, dont quote me on this.

You should be able to add co-owners onto cars, like in real life, which allows them to get out of mors, parking, see on gps, and repair/mod at LSC/Bayview, but thats another discussion
