dori12 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Player(s) being reported: ID 28 Date of interaction reported: 27/07/26. Unix time stamp from HUD: 1785130516 Your character name: Andre Banks Other player(s) involved: rooks Specific rule(s) broken: Deathmatching - Using a vehicle as a weapon during an active shootout. Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper in-character (IC) motive and/or prior escalation. Ideally, there should be sufficient prior interaction to justify an attack. Hostile behavior, threats, verbal abuse, harassment, insults, physical aggression, ignoring demands, calling for backup/reinforcements, protecting your own life (and property), or that of your allies could all be considered sufficient reasons for physical retaliation. How did the player break the rule(s)? (300 words maximum) Took the armored police car and started ramming everything he sees while we in an active shootout. This guy definitely played rocket league before logging into eclipse. I also want to post a recent report I got dm charge: Evidence of rule breach https://medal.tv/games/gta-v/clips/ncv0DRL9c1qEMzB-k?invite=cr-MSxBUzgsNTg3MDQ4Njc3 Quote
Doctor_Diddler Posted 2 hours ago Report Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Hello. I'll get right down to brass tacks and we can just skip all the waiting and review because I highly doubt you're going to change your mind on your own pet ruleset, as evidenced by the included report. I've got some POV but it's not going to meaningfully change anything so I won't bother uploading it. The insurgent is a defensive tool utilized to neutralize offensive pressure and is purpose-built for dispatching cars like this. You (the royal you) cannot meaningfully distinguish between the obvious disabling of vehicles by a vehicle custom-built to do so and ramming your car into randoms, meaning every PD convoy is now apparently a DM-fest if you drive in front of a brickade, by your own definition. Even the reporting party acknowledges the purpose of a utility vehicle. Likewise, this means that any PIT'ing of a suspect that shoots is automatically DM. If we're going to call the armored vehicle trying to stall vehicles as DM, I'd also like to counter-report the reporting party for using his vehicle to reposition, which fits the definition of a weapon via merriam-webster. You might consider it farcical, but if you're of honest stock, you'll see the obvious difference between some random street car and an insurgent. The literal point of the insurgent is to ram cars. If this is not allowed, nobody was informed accordingly. You could just as well punish all parties involved in the ambush for fear rp; Quote or if they drive into an active shootout more than once without the intent of providing cover or fleeing with it. It's not different™. It's not wanting to interpret the rules in that way because it's inconvenient. I must reiterate that while server rules supersede faction rules regarding vehicles, if this is considered DM, that would mean every LEO faction is also guilty of DM every time a vehicle was used in any kind of advantageous way, such as a PIT or roadblock as long as any kind of shooting is involved. You might very well say they are, but if that's the case, them I have to accordingly protest that there's no way I could have known that coming in given that we are allowed the use of the vehicle explicitly to ram cars. Not just the insurgent, but the brickade as well, which doesn't even have applications outside of ramming. Edited 2 hours ago by Doctor_Diddler Quote
