Trevor Zelias Posted June 26, 2025 Report Posted June 26, 2025 The Problem with House Robberies and the NRP behind it all So the problem right now I feel with the house robberies are the NRP and just straight out PVP mentality with it. I feel after doing like 50+ house robberies and with the new level system even more. It is great system and all with it but just the fact that people are NRP checking house UIs for a house robbery happening. With ZERO(0)-Roleplay reasoning behind it then just checking a UI. They are not even taking any effort looking around for a car or/and what not. And as a server as a whole this adds another PVP issue with it as a whole and nothing to even RP with it. "Oh hands up" *Takes your stuff* *drives away*. If you don't they PVP you. Not even roleplaying the fact that there is nothing proving it is a robbery then a UI. No cars around the front or anywhere close. This is right now a big problem as we are supposed to act like there is civilians at any and all time at places. If you were in a realistic house robbery you would not even have to worry about a person being outside with a MG and armor. As in the server there is no really chance to bring a weapon since they are laying at the front and before you have a slim second to pull out a gun its FRP. The suggestion for fixing the issues and NRP behaviour that is checking a scripted UI I have a suggestion that have been in my mind to fix this rule and problem with the entire NRP scene with this. If the person wanting to ROB you and have valid video recording of them actually seeing you picking the door, maybe even adding that if they see you take a contract from the house robber guy fine they can chase you. Making it so you have to take in consideration which one you take. Take the close ones for more risk but faster getting there. Further one for a bit more safer and not many people looking at it. I think many of us can agree that checking a UI if its pick-locked or not and having POI saved on the map with every house that is /house robbery worthy/ is just a big NO and makes it so people wanna go and PVP and those things more. And destroy that scene of criminal activities as a whole. Some might say "oh I don't record" "I can't record". Well then take a screenshot of them picklocking while you're looking/scouting or taking a order. About 95% of the player base can defenitly have OBS on and record a small bit or Shadowplay. And this goes to the person doing the house aswell. If you do them make sure you have any of those recording things on. I think even Fraps takes less recording. Another fix for this is adding that "extract info" would have a chance for them to push the house dealer to give the location of "x" robbery that was last taken. With a GLOBAL cooldown on it maybe once every 4-5 hour ingame. I did forget to write this to @Lewis in a DM on discord when he had the post also but I rather post a suggestion then not doing it. 1 Quote
girrix Posted June 26, 2025 Report Posted June 26, 2025 I totally support this, if this isn't fixed idk what the mods are doing, this guy is saying pure realistic fixes, please consider his and our need for that change asap 1 Quote
Earl Mud Posted June 26, 2025 Report Posted June 26, 2025 Yeah this whole thing seems nrp and metagaming. Rolling through to check every door to see if its picked is just shitty. 1 Quote
SalazarVlad Posted June 27, 2025 Report Posted June 27, 2025 Totally agreed with what being said here 1 Quote
Ashapr3 Posted July 5, 2025 Report Posted July 5, 2025 +1 i really hate the fact that people just rob you based on the fact that they can just see picklock on the door so for them that is a house getting robbed . Personally , i don't find robbing houses fun anymore for this simple reason and the solution that i could think of is that if someone cannot provide proof that they have seen you picklock or buy contract that they should be sanctioned for meta gaming . 1 Quote
SneakySniper Posted August 23, 2025 Report Posted August 23, 2025 Huge +1. I dont even attempt house robberies anymore since i know some random with a .50 is gonna come check my door, then i lose everything based on them checking a ui. Also when all the house robbery locations are generally around vinewood, it makes it easier for them. Quote
Requiem Posted December 1, 2025 Report Posted December 1, 2025 Using house robbery UI's to find and rob someone was added to the metagaming rules in the most recent rule changes, so this should no longer be an issue. 1 Quote
