Family Origins

The Monticelli Family originated in 1924 in Brescia, Italy. Starting as a small time family that was running weapons and drugs throughout Northern Italy. Their operations were small and inconspicuous for many years, until 1952. When the Family saw a massive surge in members and began to expand operations and reach. Seeing new headquarters developing in Milan, as well as some outposts in Genoa and Venice. Throughout history of the family, weapons and drugs have always been the primary makers for the Family. While they have delved a couple times into other methods, such as taking on contracts for hits, they haven't been consistent enough to be considered a primary method.

The Monticelli family originated in Italy, being a lower Family in the homeland. Giovanni was a Capo for the family back in Italy, though has looked for new opportunity to rise up and start something new for himself. As such he has moved to Los Santos to establish roots for the family. While he has the blessing of the family back home, he has no direct support financially. He has proven his loyalty to the standards of the family, and has been actively pushing the agenda of the Monticelli Family.

Giovanni is the grandson of Don Monticelli in Italy, which has aided him in his place within the family business. As well as aiding the blessing he received to come to Los Santos to establish roots. The family itself holds itself to an honorable belief. They never instigate problems, but they will always solve problems. Family comes first, always. Robbery has always been seen as beneath the family, it is not an honorable way to gain prestige and status. Though one thing remains consistent with everyone in the Family, if anyone dares to strike the family, retaliation is always much harder than was struck towards the Family. Following the belief that we shall strike back in such a way to ensure they will not strike again.

Code of Conduct

• Family First Always - We protect our own in every situation, and we take care of our own
• Do Not Rob - Robbery is beneath us, we do not need to tarnish our name with such petty crime
• Uphold Politeness Until Given Reason Not To - Be polite and courteous within reason, unless disrespect is shown towards us, then respond accordingly

Rank Structure

Don - Head of the Family, Lead Person to call shots for the Family

Consigliere - Head Advisor to the Don, not in direct Rank Hierarchy for the Family, but a respected role

Underboss - Second in Command, Leads day to day operations for the family, is prepared to cover command in case Don is incapacitated in any way

Capo-Comandante - The first level of High Command for the Family, they are a connection point between the Don/Underboss and the operations moving throughout the city

Capo - Captains of squads, taking commands from High Command and carrying out duties given with their squad

Soldier - Made men, the primary workforce for the Family, assigned to a Capo and takes commands from them

Associate - Fresh blood to the Family, working under a Capo to prove themselves both in loyalty, standards, and effectiveness

Family Vehicles (Desired)

Off road Vehicles - Scout, All black with possible rank stripe (color of stripe) to signify rank of owner

Standard Vehicle - Jugular, All black with possible rank stripe (color of stripe) to signify rank of owner

Show Vehicle - Roosevelt, All black - To be used for showing at meets, or family dinners where we want to show an old time presence

Family Weapons

The family does not maintain a specific desired weapon of choice, as weapons are viewed as tools, and as such, leaves things open for its own to decide which they would prefer to use, so long as the tool for the job makes sense. We aren't looking to be excessive by any means. In example, we wouldn't bring out a fully automatic weapon to perform a single person execution.

Family Clothing/Colors

While no specific colors are required for the Family, black is pretty uniform for many of us color wise. We do uphold a classy appearance, wearing suits and tie most of the time. With or without a Fedora.

Short Term Goals

Establish a foothold in the city, acquiring property and vehicles for operations. Establish connections with other organizations to create communication and potential assistance. Scout areas and groups to understand status of the city.

Long Term Goals

Establish control of a section of the city, location to be determined. Have steady operations throughout the city.

Building Relations

Monticelli Family has been building relations with the Waterfelons through trade and discussion. Spending a bit of time around Pink Cage to work towards these efforts. Other contacts with different gangs have also been made, but nothing further to note upon such as of this time.

Don Giovanni has been personally handling the initial outreaches to ensure timely and efficient handling in the delicate matters.

Operations Underway

Drug operations have begun in full swing, from gathering plants, to cooking up various drugs. Contacts established to move the product through to end point. While there have been a few bumps along the way of this operation starting, they have been minimal impact upon the overall operation. Car chopping has also begun operation by the Family, seeing success in the early stages thus far.

Crew Time

The Monticelli Family spends a bit of time on the golf course winding down and having some family bonding. While we find ourselves in the bunkers more often than not, it was a good experience to come together as a family and further enhance the ties that bind us together.

Working Operations

The family has been hard at work making sure operations are underway. Focused on cooking drugs and chopping cars. No matter what the Family is doing, efficiency is key. As well as bonding through trials and tribulations together. Nothing brings people closer than working together on a common purpose.

Meeting with Shadows

The family showed up to meet with The Shadows to establish relations. Having a very cordial and professional conversation. Each party explaining to the other what they stand for and how they uphold themselves. With both parties being satisfied with the demeanor and tone of the meeting, positive relations were established between the Monticelli Family and The Shadows. With both looking forward to furthering these relations.

Meeting with Rogues

The family met with [Redacted] of Rogues to establish relations and a trade connection. The talk went very well, with the conclusion of initial trade relations and agreements. Understanding the neutral stance held by Rogues with no issues from the family on that end.

Meeting with Waterfelons

The family met with Waterfelons to discuss further relations after a couple purchases from them. The talk was cordial and direct to business. Determining expectations and desired connections between the two groups. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties left in good spirits with a vision of the future.

Built from Blood, Sweat, and Loyalty

Luigi sat by his nonna, who laid weary on the hospital bed.  She spoke softly and weakened, "Luigi, go and live your life but do not forget that you are a Marzano".  She later passed that evening.  Stricken with grief and resolute, he would honor her wishes. 

One evening, Luigi met Giovanni standing ajar on the ledge.  Their friendship would grow as they spent time fixing cars together and sharing a couple of beers.  In hearing Giovanni's past as a Don and his goals for this city, Luigi was shaken by the echoes of his nonna's last words.  He decided that he would do his best to help Giovanni achieve his goals. 

As a former member of the notorious Shadows and Sinaloa Cartel, Luigi was familiar with a life of crime.  After displaying many acts of loyalty and showing that he was a made man, Luigi became a soldier and quickly rose the ranks to become a Capo.  He swore his allegiance to his Don and would protect the family.  

In a kitchen, somewhere in the city, onions are being chopped swiftly.  An opened can lays on the counter with the label, "San Marzano Tomatoes, simply the best!"

Marking Territory

The family has started marking its presence within Elysian Island nearby to Pier 400. With the goal and mindset to put their name out and establish a place of influence to begin the groundwork for the future. Having already been noticed and discussed with a few members by some locals, the task seems to be making headway for the Family.

Crew Meeting

Another time spent together to discuss the progress of the Family. Three promotions to be had within the family, the newest High Command member, Luigi Marzano. And two associates promoted to Soldiers for their continued showing of loyalty and growth within the Family's ideals.

Taking Care of Business

A recruit didn't cut the mold in the end. The order was given, and the crew carried out flawlessly. Sending the poor bloke to the bottom of the pier in true mafia fashion. Handled professionally and with proper decorum. The first of likely many events of such caliber, the note has been set, and the desire to maintain solid.

Leaving a Present

Apparently the sheriff's were off duty and no where to be seen. Opportunity was taken to leave them a present right in front of their favorite building. May they remember there is risk at all hours of the night, and more gifts shall be brought over the coming months.

Relations Growing Strong

The presence of the family continues to grow, and we're becoming well known throughout the criminal underworld. With each meeting that passes, we grow closer to solidifying our place in this city. This week it has been Rooks that held a solid growth, and with such another positive outcome.
