Luigi sat by his nonna, who laid weary on the hospital bed. She spoke softly and weakened, "Luigi, go and live your life but do not forget that you are a Marzano". She later passed that evening. Stricken with grief and resolute, he would honor her wishes.
One evening, Luigi met Giovanni standing ajar on the ledge. Their friendship would grow as they spent time fixing cars together and sharing a couple of beers. In hearing Giovanni's past as a Don and his goals for this city, Luigi was shaken by the echoes of his nonna's last words. He decided that he would do his best to help Giovanni achieve his goals.
As a former member of the notorious Shadows and Sinaloa Cartel, Luigi was familiar with a life of crime. After displaying many acts of loyalty and showing that he was a made man, Luigi became a soldier and quickly rose the ranks to become a Capo. He swore his allegiance to his Don and would protect the family.
In a kitchen, somewhere in the city, onions are being chopped swiftly. An opened can lays on the counter with the label, "San Marzano Tomatoes, simply the best!"
