Diligo Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 When I crash/disconnect I lose my order. Some have said it is to prevent people holding the orders for indefinite amount of time (reasons unknown) So my idea is to have a grace period before the order is actually removed. Lets say we introduce a 15 minute timer to complete any order. Obviously some orders are longer to complete (some 6k$ orders that fill up and fill out each time at least 10 minutes) So then you can adjust the timers based on the pay of the order. That way we can also prevent people taking orders and then seeing a juicy order pop up - then reconnecting just to take it. ( I do it myself as this is not bug abuse, but how it is made) My idea is - I took my order fair and square and I want it for myself and not because of a crash lose all the progress. Quote
Quietthecutie Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 You realise by implementing this, you would lose your ability to disconnect and take a new order? Quote
Pegasus_ Posted September 20, 2024 Report Posted September 20, 2024 Some of the automatic orders, and even player ones, take between 30-45 minutes just to load due to quantity. If anything, the timer should keep your order reserved for 5 minutes after any type of disconnect, and then just introduce a /cancel order command. Disconnecting has always felt like bug abusing cause I doubt cancelling orders that way was the intended effect. Quote
