application has been denied

Recommended Posts

What does this even mean ""Your application has been denied. You properly answer the situation questions with all the rules broken, as you seem to have missed rules that were broken in a certain roleplay scenario." It doesn't make sense to me....

I filled out the quiz and it said I passed, then it allowed me to create an avatar while I awaited news of my written responses, then after 4 days I hear I'm rejected and not even told why. There were 10 multiple choice questions that I passed, 8 out of 10 I believe, but it did't tell me which ones I missed. Then I have to write near 2500 words in 10 separate written responses only to be told the above with no explanation as to what I did wrong.

I was really looking forward to rp'ing here, but apparently I have no idea what I'm doing according to you.

They did tell you why.  It says that you didn't appropriately answer the scenario based essay questions.  I don't know how much more of an explanation you're looking for.   You actually sound really entitled right now.  You showed that you 80%, understood the rules for the multiple choice section.  Then you went on to fill out the essay questions that weren't to the satisfaction of the admins.  Just because you applied, does not mean you get in, that is the whole point of a whitelist.

Cody,

I fully understand that applying does not guarantee white list, no where did I ever state that, so please don't assume things.

As for what I am looking for is an explanation as to which of the ten questions I missed as well as what "essay" questions were unsatisfactory. There were 20 questions after all, and if I only missed 2 or 3, that's no reason to prevent me from playing. What if they were question I do understand but did't or couldn't explain well in text? Should I not be allowed to learn from my mistakes?

Pipe down mate. He isn't being toxic. He's just look for help.

From what I can see, the statement made doesn't make sense.

Regarding @Skylar Rush, redo the quiz but do some research first. Know what /me and /do do. Be able to explain what Powergaming, Metagaming, VDM etc is. And just take your time.

I literally had no idea what any of them terms mean before the quiz and I looked them up as I went along. Now I've been playing for 2 weeks and I'm confident with all the commands.

p.s. there's a cheat sheet on this forum. It tells you what everything means and how it works. Just check it out.

;)

Good luck

I'm sure that under normal circumstances you probably would have gotten a more extensive explanation of why your application wasn't accepted.  I assume that the volume of applications has a lot to do with the poor quality of your response.

I'm sorry for sounding shitty.  It's just really frustrating when the forums are getting spammed with posts about things that all have similar answers that revolve around the incredibly high volume.  I feel like there's very little sympathy for the admins that have to go through these applications.

In the quiz in all the answers it's your job to show us that you understand our server rules and know how to apply them. If you can't show that then we will not accept you.

On this example you failed to show how our server rules are applied in practise be it some of them or all of them.

Hi Randy,

I understand that there are/is an answer(s) that you may find unsatisfactory. What I was/am looking for is the answer to what I don't understand, or did not explain well, because I feel I have a pretty good understanding on how to roleplay. . . shoot, I passed the quiz portion, so I must know what the server rules are.  I just don't understand the difficulty in explaining to me what I don't understand, so I can improve.

@Spark

Thanks for linking those videos. I actually watched all of those prior to taking my quiz, and again just now to make sure I do understand the rules.  I feel just as confident then (when I took my quiz) as I do now about the rules. That is why I am confused as to what it is I  could have "missed" or failed to convey well in the written portion.  If I knew what question I incorrectly answered, like in the email the person got in the second linked video, I could correct my mistakes.
