SaltyPoiosn Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Soo, I'm going to keep this very short as there isnt much to say. I would love to be able to use spotify links to use the in-game speakers/car speakers, just because i very rarely have chrome open and also some people (like me) play on bad PCs and sometimes it causes issues having to use youtube for links lol. Let me know what you think. Quote
heelsoul Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 Sounds good and doesnt seem like a difficult thing to introduce, unless it is but yuh. +1 Quote
Bullsevil Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 +1 i think this would broaden the use of speaker and promote more music than standard youtube links Quote
devcs Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 +1 , would give us access to play spotify only songs aswell. Quote
Sigma Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 surely gonna be an issue with spotify premium? Cos not having premium forces ads and i believe cant pick and choose each song as far as I remember Quote
Moose Posted August 8, 2024 Report Posted August 8, 2024 this is not easy to do at all (not to mention legal) even if there's an API exists that does this it will be countered by spotify and will stop working, as its the case with many youtube apis. Quote

Cos not having premium forces ads and i believe cant pick and choose each song as far as I remember I understand your point, however I don’t really see an issue here. Discord bots are my example, you grab the link directly from Spotify and begin playing any song ad free. In fact, it was YouTube that had an attempt to stop this, not Spotify. I do not see this being an issue. Quote

I will use my previous point to respond, what about the countless music bots for discord that primarily use Spotify? In actual fact it is YouTube that attempt to stop it. Quote
