Jessup Franko Posted July 29, 2024 Report Posted July 29, 2024 Hi Everyone, I'm new to GTA V RP in general and heard good things about this server but have to admit, I'm a bit lost as to what direction to go. Just some basics like, how do I get my first car? Once I do, where can I store it so that I can spawn in with it? Dumb stuff like that. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Quote
SquirtleSquad Posted July 29, 2024 Report Posted July 29, 2024 Hello and welcome! You can purchase cars from Dealerships across the map. Their locations can be marked with icons on your GPS, you can look at the Legend for names, or you can ask people in game. Taxi drivers are a wealth of information, in addition to a ride to their location, so utilize them! Additionally, there are 3 Used car lots, also marked on your map with a Red Car icon: Low-End (Cars under $50,000), High-End (Cars over $50,000), and Paleto (Cars over $50,000). Feel free to check them out, but as you're new, I'd head to Low-End which is near the Airport. To park or unpark your car, on your GPS there are tealish color Garage Icons. There are two locations, one at Legion Square, and one at Paleto. At Legion Square, if you drive up to the parking booth, you can type /park to park your car, and when you want to unpark it, hit "Y" and select it from the menu. You will have ti drive pretty close to the booth to park it. If you sit there a few minutes, you can observe another player parking their car to get an idea of where that spot is. At Paleto, there's a blue circle icon you can drive up to and type /park and again hit "Y" to select it from the menu to unpark it. Regarding what you want to do, the worlds your oyster. You can start doing Freelance jobs which are indicated with the yellow briefcase icon. I'd suggest Burgershot (Denoted with a red B) or Roadworkers, near Casino on Elgin Ave. Both jobs offer good pay, and a lot of player interaction so you can learn more about the city, what to do, and make friends. PufferBulletin Posted July 29, 2024 Report Posted July 29, 2024 Just to give you an advice, do not rush into government/crime organizations. Enjoy the process as RP hits completely different once you are playing it for the first time, the magic wears off with time. Interact with people in game and they will surely give you advices creating RP opportunities along the way! Quote

Thank you so much for all of the helpful information!! I’m very excited to try these jobs so that I can get a feel by interacting with folks and afford a car. I really appreciate your time! Quote

I’ll try roadwork or something like that so I can be in experiencing RP. What is your favorite job/role for RP? Quote

LE is something I would love to pursue at some point when I have time (which may be never) because my perception is that you have to play quite a lot to keep the LE position. Is my perception correct? Quote
