nayfercs Posted February 26, 2023 Report Share Posted February 26, 2023 I wanted to suggest a new feature that I believe would greatly improve the server's functionality. Specifically, I think it would be a good idea to add messages and phone call notifications. Currently, when someone sends us a message or tries to call us, we may not be immediately aware of it unless we happen to be looking at our screens at the exact moment it happens. This can be frustrating and can lead to missed opportunities or important communications. By adding notifications for messages and phone calls, we would be immediately notified whenever someone tries to get in touch with us. This would help us to stay more connected with our friends and colleagues on the server, and ensure that we never miss an important message or call. I understand that some may be concerned about the potential for increased distractions or interruptions with these notifications. However, I believe that this can be easily managed by giving users the option to customize their notification settings. For example, users could choose to only receive notifications for messages and calls from certain individuals, or they could choose to only receive notifications during certain times of the day (in-game time). Overall, I believe that adding messages and phone call notifications would be a valuable addition to the server. It would improve communication and help us to stay more connected with each other. I encourage the server administrators to consider implementing this feature, and I welcome feedback and discussion from other community members. Having the notifications in chat can be annoying specially if you're just getting spammed. I think the notification sound along with the added on the picture below will suffice. If you have 10 or more notifications it should stop at "9+" and icon disappears once the messages app is opened up. Also, a notification icon like that added to chats for new texts would be a nice addition as well, to indicate whether a new message has been read or not. Also would be cool if the phone registers missed calls wile offline.
