Being able to pack money

Recommended Posts

What I was thinking maybe we could add like a command such as /packmoney (amount of money).

What this would do is it would look if you have the cash required to perform the action. (eg. you need 10k in cash to pack 10k)

and what this would do is make an item in the persons inventory, where if you open the pack of money you get the money in cash.

this would allow for example to hide money, or do illegal transictions in cash by using bags.

Gonna have to be -1, and I will tell you why.

I think there would be issues with this currently as the system uses packed cash for money laundering of stolen money from stores or banks for faction influence for crims. If people could pack their own cash, then it would disrupt the way the system currently works. Additionally, for the Law enforcement side of things, it would make it nearly impossible to catch store/bank robbers. Currently if law enforcement catches someone with packed cash on them, they can be certain that it was stolen from a store or bank or ATM. If people could pack it themselves, everyone could just have some just to hide the fact they robbed stores or banks, and currently there are not enough server side tools to for law enforcement investigation to support finding out whether the cash was legally or illegally obtained.

Lastly, this would require extra developer work/support. I would personally rather that dev time be spent on much higher priority things such as extra criminal content, clothing/uniform updates for jobs, or a DOC rework!

I think this would be a helpful feature for people who want to hide or move money around quickly and securely as example on Megaslot https://megaslotcasino.net/ in Australia. We could also add an option to restrict the amount of money that can be packed in a single bag, so that it's not too easy to put large amounts of money into one bag. Additionally, we could make it so that opening the pack of money requires authentication from the person who created it, so that only they can access the cash inside.

My guy he literally said "this would allow for example to hide money, or do illegal transictions in cash by using bags." so it clearly means the item would be different from the ones you gain from illegal activities such as bank robberies.

+1 if dev time is not a concern. But maybe make it “Rolled money” instead to avoid issues with current system. I think it would be an excellent feature for RP as mass amounts of money will require more than one person to carry bags. I think it would create really unique scenarios with gangs when buying weapons/selling drugs to them.
