  1. I really wish there was a modifer on the MDC that was purely OOC that allowed us to reward good RP. There's been a ton of situations I've been in that made my IC character obviously very upset and wanting to charge as much as possible, but on an OOC level left me very satisfied and content with the RP brought upon. Example of GoodRP: My LEO character saw someone with a gun on their hip at Paleto Station. I approached them and asked them about it, they joked about it and then ran to their mule. They knew they had no way of escaping in a mule so they ditched the mule and before I could get my gun out, they held me at gunpoint and a hostage negotiation occured. This was good for numerous reasons, they RP'd at the station very well about it. Didn't make a fuss out of it in /b and just continued. When the pursuit of the mule started it was honestly very fun. Then, when I was taken hostage they RP'd every little thing there character was doing. It was honestly amazing RP that I still think about to this day. However, they still faced like 3.5 hours OOC time for their crimes. I wish I could've decreased the time to like 3 hours or something. This one is actually about OP. There was a HUGE shootout in an area in Vespucci, we responded and shots were fired from both sides. The criminals that we were going to take into our custody were treated and they RP'd their injuries so well. It wasn't the usual, "/do there would be numerous gunshots to his chest" it was more in-depth and required me to RP more heavily as a result to keep this person alive. Afterwards when we transported them to MD, we got them into a DOC transport and they responded to /mes and /dos in a quick manner despite the chat rolling very quickly. Again, despite this great RP, they were looking at four to five hours in prison. I think this change would serve two things: as a OOC buff to crim because if you do good RP your charges can be reduced, obviously this helps to still have the charges on your record and still allow LEO's to do their jobs without being fired. As well, this provides an incentive to RP to a higher-standard and thus, provides both sides with greater RP.
  2. Huuuuuuuge +1 Some additions I think would be fun: A piece of cardboard - For people who want to protest and use the ever so rare /ame, could even implement support for drawing on these like notes. A photo of your wife and kids - For people who want the person who just killed them to feel guilty. A tin can - For people to roleplay being homeless (could even set up a command so people can /tosscash into the tin can. More food options - Right now every store store sells: hot dogs, burgers, tacos (somehow), donuts, coffee, soda, vodka, whiskey, wine, beer and water. It would be cool if specific stores could only sell specific things. Your store is near Grove Street? How about some cheaper coffee that fills less of your thirst? Your store is near Vinewood Hills? How about a Sprunk slushie! Additional items that could be added: bag of chips (could have these be SUPER cheap with the chance of getting a full bag of chips being rare and crumbles if you take damage), energy drink (could increase speed for a bit, only to slow you down after the effect has worn off), pint of ice cream (perfect for the people who want to RP in their house with friends) A random book - for people wanting to RP reading on the long drive to Paleto. A vape (disposable or refillable) A bus pass.

Honestly, adding a faction (or as OP stated, a subsect of a current faction) could breathe new life into hunting. Fixing spawn rate of animals and adding a faction that regularly interacts with hunters would also add a different style of RP. I personally think that this also could fix the common player thought on LEO's being about winning, because realisticly, this faction wouldn't be able to make serious arrests, instead they would just confiscate and issue a ticket. Frankly, I think the Sheriff's Department would be the perfect department to add this division to, as we already have the IC knowledge of the lay of the land. Personally, the only issue I see with this is the fact that right now the script for hunting is less than ideal. It is obviously realistic that you wouldn't see an animal every five minutes, but currently you maybe see one animal every ten minutes or so and only get $200 for it. To solve this issue and bring life back into hunting, the devs would need to either up the spawnrate OR increase the payment received from hunting. I also think that a hunting update could bring about cool non-LEO factions that focus on showing off their trophies and hold cool hunting events.
  4. The Forty-Five Second Knockout Icarus knew Asbjorn from his time at Weazel and the two have always had an interesting relationship with each other, not quite hatred, but not quite friendly either. However, after Icarus tried one of Asbo’s beers at Bjorn’s Brewery one night. He knew that the Dojo needed to have Asbo brew something up for them. So Icarus worked it out to purchase a keg of the beer to sell at their next event. After forty-five days of brewing, the beer was ready to be transported from Bjorn’s to the Dojo. As Icarus isn’t particularly strong, Asbo did most of the heavy-lifting of the keg and getting it into the Dojo. Icarus also knew nothing about tapping a keg and getting it set up to the line, so Asbo offered to set it up for him and give him a taste of it. After the keg was all set up, Icarus and Asbo each poured one out into a pint glass. Icarus had the technique right but the beer still ended up a bit foamy. On the other hand, Asbo poured a perfect pint, proving his experience with handling beer. Icarus tapped the glass on the counter and cheered Asbo. “Kanpai,” exclaimed Icarus as he took a small sip of the beer. Instantly, he knew this would be a high-seller at the event. The beer had a decadent sweet and malty taste upfront, but with a nice floral note hitting his tastebuds shortly after. This beer was a perfect metaphor for the fight club. A strong hit upfront, but with a friendly, almost congratulating, floral note after. Asbo told Icarus the name of the beer after, "45-Second Knockout." Truly a perfect signature drink to add to Dojo’s bar. After the tasting was over, Icarus paid Asbo for the lovely keg and the two went their separate ways.
  5. Maybe it's a regional thing but in the US, I always lock my car when I get out to get gas. Granted, I live in a large city with a lot of car thefts but so is San Andreas. Also, a lot of newer cars have autolock systems. Most have it where once you get a certain speed the doors lock right away. I agree with Beet here, it's little things like this that I feel would help take away potential rulebreaks.

    The Underground

I am in love with this faction thread. It is so refreshing to see a faction taking their RP directly to PD/SD instead of PD/SD inserting themselves. Much love to all the former RS members and all the other members of Underground.
  8. “We’re sorry, but they give a lot of tips on the goings-on in the criminal underworld, we can’t be making an enemy out of them,” stated Sarah Ellen, editor-in-chief of the Liberty City Bugle. “You don’t think it’s weird that we are working with criminals whose only best interest is themselves,” asked Icarus Olsen. Sarah scoffed at him and pressed a button on her desk. “You’re stuff will be sent to your address. If we don’t lose it,” she said with a slight grin on her face. “Oh, and remember, if you mention any of this to anyone, you’ll not only have breached your NDA but you’ll also have made an enemy of nearly everyone in the city.” Icarus was escorted out of the building and thrown onto the grimy streets. He would not let this city chew him up and spit him out so easily. He had to think of a plan, the city had to know what was going on behind closed doors. His sense of justice was guiding his hand as he pulled out his phone. One-way ticket to Los Santos. The LCT wouldn’t be able to touch him there. What with the militarized police force and the rampant gang wars going on there. As Icarus’ nearly sprinted to his apartment, he packed a bag full of his essentials. A notebook, his laptop, a recording microphone and red hair dye. After all, he always wanted to be a fiery redhead, what better excuse to reinvent oneself than being on the run from a gang that would kill him if they ever laid eyes on him. With his plane ticket printed, he got in a taxi. “Liberty City Airport, terminal two,” he said to the driver. The driver nodded towards him. “So, where you headed,” the driver asked. “Oh, just visiting an old friend,” Icarus said. After what felt like an eternity in the rank taxi, it arrived at LCA. “Hey, remember, you tell anyone and you won’t have an “old friend” to visit anymore,” said the driver. Icarus’ bit his tongue and slammed the door. Great, another industry they have their grubby hands on. He got through TSA with relative ease and sat down at the terminal. Time to expose them all. As he began clacking on his computer, he visioned working at Weazel News in Los Santos. They were the most accredited newspaper in the nation. He dreamed of covering stories about gang wars, covering the inner workings of the government. He visioned meeting the love of his life. As he pressed post on the blog post, he boarded the plane. His future as bright as the sun. He just needed to make sure he didn’t fly too close, or he’d end up in the ocean, sleeping with the fishes.

    The Uppercut

Looks so sick! Can't wait to see what you do!
  10. I have to say, I agree with this sentiment, it seems from my POV that PD tends to take into server population and decide to make more arrests/tickets because they know that as many people are on the server. I am not stating opinions on this but rather just voicing how it seems to civ players. Personally, I think the whole tilde player count thing should removed since it allows for far too much meta-gaming.
  11. I totally agree with this. The pier is the worst place for this. People have full on conversations OOC and the use of /b is insane. It's one thing if you use /b to ask how to do a certain action as there a ton of random commands in the server, but using it to troll and just talk? Excessive to say the least.
