  1. Like the title says. Decided to commission someone to draw my character 'Renae Nontae.' The artist is mayun_ik on Twitter!
  2. My name is Kyle Madoff. Former Super-Hero, Current Robot. This is the story of the world that I fell into, and how it's effected me. It's also the story of a Super-Hero team lost to time, known as the League of Legends. MY TOTALLY REAL UPBRINGING When I was born, I was deemed a problematic child. I don't know my real parents. All I know is that they abandoned me in the woods, where I lived for a few years. I was adopted by a pair of scientists who wanted to study a child being raised by wild animals, and the effects it may have. After a few years, I was even abandoned by my adopted parents, as they felt I was adapting TOO well to human-life, as opposed to the life of an animal, and opted to look for a better candidate who wouldn't fare so well. So, I remained in the woods for quite some time. I did however retain my knowledge of English. Though, I never was told my actual last name. One day, I decided it was time to abandon the wilderness, and leave the nest. When I stumbled into Los Santos, I was struck by a newspaper, detailing the death of a criminal known as Lyle Madoff. I liked the name 'Madoff,' and decided to use it for myself. Though I've been getting a lot of people saying I pronounce it wrong... LIFE IN THE CITY When I first entered the city, I encountered a strange man who was convulsing, shouting that he was 'Spider-Man.' Thanks to the torn-up comic books I had read as a kid, I recognized who he was. That man was a Super-Hero. And his power? Convulsing! Uh, in retrospect he was probably having a seizure, or something. The man did however encourage me to try and find my own power, which I thought for a time to be super-strength. As we walked down the street together, a group of people drove next to us, asking us to get in their trunk. We of course saw no issue with this and did exactly as they said. And that's when it happened. My true power! Suddenly, everything went dark, and I felt as light as a feather. I was confused at first, and it remained like that for a few moments. It seemed I was totally alone. Then, I had come to, waking up nearby my last location. I had entered another dimension, completely against my will. Entering other dimensions is pretty cool! But it is NOT cool when it's out of your control! Every now and then, it'd pop back up, maybe even mid-conversation, and I'd be gone again! It got pretty tiring after a while. Especially when the demons started showing up. Uh, anyways. I never did find that 'Spider-Man' again. But, I decided to go exploring. I went to the nearby police station, and struck up conversation with two kind men. One was older, and wore a bikers jacket. I forget his name, but I now know it was something very southern sounding. Next to him, was a man with messy blonde hair, and a cool yellow jacket. His voice was grating, but I quickly became fond of the man. His name was Jeffery. As I was talking with them, my power activated, which was very worrying. What if they'd leave, and I'd never see them again? Fortunately, that didn't happen. When I popped back into reality, I ran over to them, excited to see them again. It was then that I was struck by a taco truck, travelling beyond any speeds that I know of. I broke most of the bones in my body. Luckily, Jeffery and the gruff man I believe to be his uncle of some sort came to my rescue, calling an ambulance. They made a promise to take me to get some tacos after the matter was over with. And that, we did. After leaving the hospital, they became more interested in my super-power, which is only fair considering they watched me vanish right in front of their eyes. I began to discuss it more thoroughly with them. It was then that Jeffery informed me he had a cousin interested in forming a Super-Hero Team, just like me. So, he decided to take me to meet him. On the way, I began thinking of cool names for the team. THE LEAGUE OF LEGENDS If I remember right, we arrived at the vehicle market by the Pier. Jefferys cousin was there waiting for us. I took a step out of the vehicle to greet him. He had a large nose, shaggy black hair like one of those emo people. His outfit was all black as well. He introduced himself as 'Ronnie Ratt.' Also known as, 'The Rat.' The three of us talked for a bit, and discussed the Super-Hero Team idea. I proposed what I thought to be the best possible name for the group. 'The League of Legends.' Ronnie had suggested X-Team, or something similar to that, but he decided my name was the perfect choice. We'd become the League of Legends, and stop crime. Then some guy started complaining about us being in the way or something, don't really remember. But, that's when I got my first taste of Ronnie's true personality. In response, he pulled out a machine gun, and began threatening the man. Jeffery and I ran over to talk him down. It took a minute, but we resolved the situation. It was pretty scary. We drove around for a bit, and began spreading the word of our team. It was pretty fun. We even got some new members, like Joe. Also known as, 'The Raven.' Ronnie also helped supply us with weapons to take out criminals. As we were all relaxing at the bank, we heard nearby gunfire. Ronnie, being our leader, charged first. It was coming from a nearby alley way. Someone had been robbed. We followed Ronnie, but admittedly I was a little frightened. I had never used a gun before. I was a little late, and by the time I showed up, Ronnie had been gunned down. Jeffery and Joe were trying to provide some cover as well. I spotted the guy who had shot Ronnie, and was able to land a few shots on him. Finally, I ran up and landed the final blow on him, punching him, and knocking him out. The criminals were down and out, and I might've saved Ronnies life. The Police and EMS showed up soon after, thanking us for taking care of everything. It took a while for Ronnie to recover. After our first successful attempt at stopping criminals, Jeffery and I decided to take a vacation, and go exploring the city together. We mainly just drove around talking about things, but we did take a moment to buy our Super-Hero Outfits. Jeffery didn't end up getting anything, but I decided to get some tape to put around my face. I thought about my power, and what'd make for a good Super-Hero name. I decided 'The Void' was a good choice. The first place we visited was the docks, where I discussed how someday we could get on a boat, and leave Los Santos, never having to pay taxes. Don't tell anyone, but I don't actually pay them. After all, what're they gonna do? Come after me? I can just run away, and keep NOT paying my taxes. Anyways, I think our bond grew quite a bit that day. Especially when we went to The Dam, where Jeffery slipped and fell in. I dove in after him and nearly drowned, but we made it out ok. Then we went to the prison where Jeffery asked me if I had a boyfriend, and I still don't know what that means. Anyways, I ended up getting sucked into the void for quite some time. By the time I had woken up, a few weeks had gone by. When I came back, the group had grown quite a bit in size, with plenty of new faces for me to accidentally forget about. I think one of them was a Snowman. It was around that time, that Ronnie had began getting a little more unstable. He would complain about how we needed more money, more and more, as time went on. We began doing this job, where we'd go up the mountains, to do who knows what. Probably nothing good. Ronnie had Jeffery and I hide in a bush down the mountain, keeping an eye out for anyone showing up unannounced. Nothing was happening so we decided to run to the convenience store and buy some tacos. As we did that, Ronnie radio'd in for help. We went up to help, but I don't remember much from that, other than waking up in the hospital the next day. Despite all of us getting injured, Ronnie kept insisting that we keep doing that job. Really, I think things only became more dangerous as time went on. There was this one time where we found a taxi driver being held captive by a gang in the middle of the road. We saved them, but still ended up having to go to the hospital. I think as time went on, Jeffery was getting more and more tired of Ronnie's plans and escapades, and I was too. It all came to a head one night where it was just the three of us. We started arguing with Ronnie, wanting to be actual Super-Heroes, and not go around getting hurt all the time for cash. Ronnie got out of the car, and told Jeffery to do the same. Luckily, Jeffery was the one in the driver seat, so we sped off leaving Ronnie in the middle of the city. I was pretty scared, and we were pretty sure Ronnie was gonna send some of the other members of the team after us. But, when we saw Ronnie again, he was as calm as ever. We didn't talk about it afterward. By that time though, I was beginning to accept the fact that the League of Legends had become nothing more than a cover for Ronnie's crimes. It'd turn out however, that it'd be the last time I'd see my friends again. A NEW WORLD For a time, I thought I'd be stuck in the void forever. It got really lonely being in that other-dimension. I still don't know how much time went by. Maybe a year? By the time I woke up in the real world though, everything had changed. Jeffery and Ronnie were missing. The League of Legends had been disbanded, and seemingly no one remembered them. I had woken up in a new, lonelier world. I tried calling everyone in my contact list, and nobody answered, except for one person. Joe, 'The Raven.' The only person who remembered the League of Legends. Apparently, he was the last member still around. Everyone else was either dead, or missing. After talking for a bit, we decided to get together for old times sake. He showed up later, introducing me to his new friend, 'Skeetle Jackson.' He was an older dude, with a hawaiian floral shirt. He had some guy bring a bus to the bank, and was inviting everyone to go to some party underground. I decided to go along, looking to hang out with Joe, and to try and make some new connections. I don't know why the party was underground, but I guess the Subway Tunnels have nice ambience for parties. People brought speakers for music, alcohol, and a bunch of other stuff. I wasn't really interested in having any of it. Then, Skeetle decided to tell Joe what was actually going on. He had laced the drinks with STDs, and was trying to make a cult. I was pretty concerned, so I was thinking about telling someone. I didn't. But, someone else did. The Police eventually showed up, and began questioning people. Joe and I were fine, but Skeetle was arrested. For whatever reason, Joe decided it'd be best for us to go visit Skeetle in prison whenever he'd eventually get out. So, we went to the prison. Skeetle and I talked privately for a bit, and I got the feeling that he believed I was the one who snitched. Not one to lie, I was open to telling him I didn't like him. He seemed to be nothing more than a criminal, one I'd be fighting were I still a Super-Hero. He warned me he was someone to not be messed with, and made it apparent he was going to be a problem. So what could I do? Go along with everything, for him to eventually try and take me out? I got pretty fearful of it. Though, I probably overreacted. Later, we were alone, trying to get the car we were using started. He asked for me, to get my attention, and threw a punch at me. So, I did what I had to do. I pulled out the crowbar I had on me, and attacked him with it in self defense. After realizing what I had done, I decided to run away. He'd be pretty likely to come after me with his pack of goons, so I had to go into hiding. I tried to stop a car to get help, but they ran me over. The ambulance DID however come in time! So, it worked out fine. Back in town, I met a pair of twins who were willing to help me go into hiding. I don't really remember their names, but they were trustworthy enough. Joe had called me, and asked where I was. I explained to him that I was gonna go in hiding. He thought we should meet up and talk about it, so, I told him I was at the bank. I was hiding near the theater, and spotted him around the corner with Skeetle. By the looks of things, I was getting betrayed. So, I snuck away, and left with the twins. They took me to get a new outfit, and kept me hidden. We decided it'd be best to hide up north in the desert. We stopped at the Yellow Jacket bar for a bit. But, I was double-crossed yet again. The twins told Skeetle my location, and I was taken hostage. They drove me out to an abandoned house, and tied me up in the basement to talk to me. Skittle kept insisting he wasn't trying to kill me. I'm still not sure if I really believe that though. Eventually, they did let me go though, and I found myself going back home. Just in time to fall back into the void, and wake up once more. A NEW LIFE By the time I had woken up again, a year had passed. This time, there was no remnant of my past. Joe was gone. Skeetle was gone. It was as if the past two stages of my life had never actually happened. I did think about coping by trying to make a new Super-Hero group, or by trying to teach new Super-Heroes how to be one, but, that never ended up happening. I'd often find myself sitting at the bank, trying to make friends. I ended up doing nothing but getting into a fist fight. I did win, but I ended up getting stabbed afterward. Some guy showed up to help me, and it seemed like we were becoming friends. He explained that some guy taking drugs had stolen his car, and that he didn't know what to do. As we sat at the bank, we saw his car speeding away with police hot on its trail. Before I could get his name or number, he ran off after it. I never saw him after that. I do wonder though if he got that car back. Being left alone, I decided to start talking to some people about my Super-Hero past. I met a man named Shamel Williams. I don't think he believed the story, but he took a liking to me, and so he let me tag along with him around the city. His cousin Nino also took a liking to me, with the pair referring to me as Windows 98, and a robot. I'm not really sure what it means, I just hope it's something good. Though, it's not the first time. Pretty much everyone in town says I 'sound like a robot.' Shamel eventually introduced me to his step-son Decoy, claiming I was his gift. I think Shamel was a little rude and disconcerned regarding Decoys well-being, so I tried my best to help him out when I could. Because the police may see this, I have to say this is all hypothetical from here on out. Hypothetically, Shamel took the three of us to rob a store for some cash. Hypothetically, nobody found out. Of course, because it hypothetically may have happened. Decoy and I later met some other people, one named Marco, who was a pretty aggressive italian guy. We talked for a bit, and decided we should make a gang called 'Wolf-Gang,' and fight crime. Of course, for our outfits, we needed some extra cash. So, we secretly went behind Shamels back, and stole some of the cash he made from the hypothetical convenience store robbing, which he still doesn't know about. I think he might've lost out on 7K from that. Though, it was probably a waste of time. We went to the mountains, and were held at gunpoint by a gang, claiming that the name Wolf-Gang was already taken. They took our phones, and we were probably pretty close to being killed. Another car appeared however, distracting them. It gave us enough time to run away to our car, and drive off. It was scary, but, it was kinda fun too. Of course, fate isn't kind to me, and I've found myself to be stuck in the void again. Shamel, Decoy, and Marco are gone now. I'm not sure when I'll make friends I won't lose due to my uncontrollable ability. I just hope it's sometime soon. Maybe Jeffery will come back too... Here's a picture of me to remember me by if I never make it back to reality.
  3. Welcome to my conveniently multi-categorized suggestion So anyways! Fast-Food Jobs! How can they be used, and is it worth it. How they can be used Obviously, Fast-Food Jobs primarily serve two roles. They exist as spots for RP, and a way to make cash legally. Well, unless it's a front for a meth business. That'd make for some good RP. As of right now, the Fast-Food areas such as Burger-Shot serve LITTLE purpose, both in RP, and in gameplay. Which is a bit frightening, as I worry they'll be removed as opposed to being worked on. The way I see it, everything has it's uses! You just have to make them! I think you can pretty easily expand upon the usage of Fast-Food Jobs. They can be used for RP, they can be used for Cash, they can be used as fronts for illegal activity, and the next big step...! RP... but more I think it's pretty important to not simply add Burger-Shot and go 'well that's the Token Restaurant for RP now, done!' While you can do that, it should be taken a step further. If you add other Fast-Food 'Franchises,' the people behind each one can form rivalries, and each restaurant can build RP scenarios to compete with one another. They can even fight for advertizing via Weasel News. Randomly, wouldn't it be neat to have a place to post videos IN RP? There could be an app made for that. Also, you know how everybody hangs out at the Pier, and there are those dinky hot-dog stands sitting around, unattended? Realistically, wouldn't people wanna use them to capitalize off of the piers popularity? They can be turned into a job! Though uh, that'd involve some revamping on how jobs work probably. Anyways, a good question would be "but how can we encourage these RP scenarios? How can we even make the restaurants useful?" That's pretty simple! BALANCING As of right now, and as far as I'm aware, one *super expensive* sandwich is enough to completely fill your hunger stat, for a good in-game day or two. This means people barely have a reason to get food, let alone to go to restaurants. Convenience Stores forever! A good way to guide people around using the rp-lacking convenience stores, is to either raise the prices there, or limit the food items. Now, what'd be the point in limiting the type of food items? Simple. Give different types of food, different types of regen. One food type can fill you up 25%, another 50%. Though uh maybe not, lets steer clear from minimizing how much food you should buy. This is capitalism baby! Buy that food!!! Stimulate that market!!!!!! Now, next thing. So what if certain food types regen differently? Hunger still drains pretty slowly. Well, lets take a look at the sprinting mechanic. If you run for too long, you begin losing health. For one, that's absolutely terrifying! Are my characters cells rapidly decaying? Secondly, isn't there a much better alternative to that? Something more realistic? Something like... Becoming hungrier, and thirstier? I believe accelerating the speed of hunger de-gen, and tying it into how active you are, is a pretty good start to getting people to go 'Ah hell, I need to go buy some food!' Some food types only regen so much, food becomes more important and less of a 'Eh, in like an hour or two' kind of thing. And, you can even get creative with it. What if, certain Fast-Food Chains, sell certain kinds of food? If you do that, then each business will wanna out perform one another. "Well, they have the whopper, and we only have sticks of gum, so lets throw parties weekly to encourage people buying our food!" Like I said, rivalries ALWAYS make for better RP-Scenarios. At the moment, food is relatively expensive, though pretty much everything in the economy is. Get to fishing, or get to starving! You know the drill! I think in the event of making food more important and detrimental, it's important to *lower* the prices. Though, it can vary. Does it fill you up well? Then it's gonna cost quite a bit more! Though uh, I still don't think one food should fill you up much past the 50% point. Well, it all depends on how you balance the hunger de-gen. I also think Fast-Food Chains can sell cheaper food than Convenience Stores. Or, the Convenience Store can only sell low quality food, that doesn't regen your hunger as much. Closing statement Yeah that's pretty much it. There's a lot of re-vamping and balancing that may have to be done to better this sort of rp. But, I think at the moment, what this server needs, is more revamping in favor of rp based things, as opposed to things for cosmetic, or immersion based things. I think Jobs themselves need revamped a lot more, creating more rp scenarios for Civilians. I just feel we need more than an occasional event, or to just go to the pier and hope some criminal with a mission shows up and invites us. I feel like Civilians need to be more defined. Maybe not so much in the "I'm now a CEO" kinda way, but in a "Yeah, I have a life. I work at Burger-Shot, and live in a crummy apartment." kinda way. It's all in the little things. I don't know though, maybe everything I'm talking about is absurd! But, it's just some food for thought. My next suggestion will be to LOWER HAIR-CUT PRICES! I'm now officially creating a petition as well. That's a joke. For now.
