  1. Los Santos was merely a vision, purely a dream. Although it may seem like this is the life I wanted to have in such an open minded city, I now find myself stranded with my own thoughts regarding the past, the present, and what is about to come. In less than two years ago, I was climbing my way up to become one of the most aspiring Jazz musicians in Lisbon, Portugal. There was nothing to complain about. The educational support from my parents since the very beginning, the emotional support of my many friends, each with it’s peculiar way of being himself. Those were the foundations I grew upon. I didn’t pick sides nor stereotypes. I knew life was to be enjoyed any way you’d like. There were no if’s, and’s or but’s. Everything was a matter of perspective, and if you were able to understand anyone’s perspective, you’d be gaining knowledge, you’d be taking a step closer towards understanding Humanity. Whilst taking those mentality approaches, I was digging every Jazz Club around the city. I was having a blast. From one club to another, day after day, many were the alleys I was walking onto. It wasn’t easy for a tiny town boy like me to get used to all the lights and the massive gatherings of different-looking individuals. However, time handles it all, and I got more than used to it. The night life quickly introduced me to all the “angels” regarding my artistic passion. But life always tries to balance whatever side you’re on, and after the angels, so came the demons. SO ABOVE AND SO BELOW It looks like I wasn’t being myself. In order to live, you have to be aware of your surroundings, to be fully counscious on what is happening. But when you find yourself at your purest humane form, it is most important how you react to the situation. In one of the alleys previously mentioned, whilst walking with a few mates, I was threatned by several thugs. I had a knife pointed at me. A f***** long and sharp one, I must add. We could’ve handled the situation, but instead, I chose to act peacefully. I took a step further and told them not to harm any of my colleagues. The hell with that city. The hell with them, and the hell with me?! I’ve always thought too much, and the action that took me seconds to conclude was best, ended up by taking lives. I have never forgotten them, and I never will. That is why from that day forward, I decided to act on behalf of my purest form. I decided to act wether through actions, emotions or through verbal communication straight out of myself without thinking twice. My body accumulated rage overtime, I started favoring guns, knives included, and from there, my life took a hellish turn. I started realizing a change regarding behaviour by everyone around me. Whilst keeping to myself a friend would never abandon a friend regardless of how horrible, guilty or sad he is, I was experiencing the contrary. My musical renown lasted weeks until it disappeared, just like everyone around me. And since everyone I knew had disappeared, I decided to do the same. DON’T THINK RICARDO, JUST DO IT! Los Santos is merely a vision, purely a dream. But I went for it. Packed few bags, took the flight, and boo-ya! After eight hours of flight, there I was. From there, I went to the least expected place for me to go to: a tattoo parlor. If I was about to live my new life, I needed every detail settled. That’s why I chose that tattoo.. also because it helps me keeping the idiots away. Simple and mean. Fuck it. It’s all about respecting and getting respected back. Two hours after the session, I decided to delay the visit around Los Santos and I took a taxi over to Paleto Bay, where I was about to revisit my old n’ gold Portuguese pal Jon Sikes. As soon as I put my feet on the ground, I notice a freak-yet-nice-looking dude. There he was. Messy hair, cheeky smile on his face, and his boots all covered in dirt. Not to mention the knife on his waist belt. However, it didn’t take long for me to get on the same road. SH*T IN THE WOODS IF YOU PLEASE Living in a trailer beside Mount Chiliad, learning how to efficiently wield decent buds in American dirt, hunting, working at the lumber mill chopping wood.. it wasn’t bad. Jon’s way of living was somehow calming me down. But as I said previously, life always rebalances things.. and Jon had his <Sykozen> “Syko” from Psycho and “Zen” from Zen for a reason. Just two weeks after being around Paleto, all it took for him to start a bar brawl and get out without any issues but respect was his attitude. What a fine motherf*cker, I must say. <Welcome to San Andreas, brother. You wanna know how things get solved? It’s either man up or shut up.> From one place to another I stepped into piles of dust Years after the slaughter Saying goodbye to mother and father Make a stand in here I must To act or not to act To fear or not to fear Consider this a fact Someday we’ll disappear In here, it’s live or die Don’t act tough, act smart I’ve lived enough to see men cry Simple emotions they deny Due to them not seeing art. Art is everywhere From blood to bone Call me crazy, call me wild Eternity I roam. I beho.-...- *scratches* FUCK OFF YOU F *scratches* TO BE CONTINUED

    Whyos

Good luck guys, keep updating the thread with fresh SS's and you'll be on your way! Looking forward to it
  3. -Introductions are done, few jokes exchanged, but it was a matter of business afterall.. and so it happened- If anything works well for the first time, you can nearly guarantee there will be a second time. And a third. And eventually a fourth, and so on. It's all about the brotherhood and supporting our cause. --Pleasure doing business gentlemen. Test the hardware and come back if it did it's job. See you, locos.-- Just because they were hispanic, it doesn't mean they could be trusted. But since we had Wolfy's vouch, we went on with it and took our tests and conclusions by woods next to the beach. They were functioning. Clear out the field, casings away, form up and get back to our good ol' town. Back in Sandy Shores, we got a couple of beers running, and we got to enjoy Sandy Shores with such a stunning sunset by the lake without any interference. I'd only wish civilians knew how much an Outlaw desires peace to reside in it's heart aswell as in everyone else around him.
  4. After everyone had spoken, the votes had taken their places, it was time for action. Oh, let's not forget.. everyone deserves some action, therefore, the Prospects took the first turn! After their warmup and their bodies temperature risen, it was time for the ride, and the perks that follow with it. Paleto was the destination, and the seek for power was the cause. Having the tanks refilled and our bellies slightly more confortable (considering what an average 24/7 has to offer), we took ourselves a deep breath and stood to what had been arranged. Off we go. He's approaching. I'll do the talking in the first place, know this guy for a while. -Said Wolfy Got it. Everyone, relax and don't do anything stupid. - Replied Walker, Pres.
  5. A few months after being accused of a murder he did not commit, Ricardo was finally out and breathing the smooth air around Sandy Shores. There was a lot to do, and he wasn't fully aware of everything that had to be done after his actual first murder which took place behind bars, the moment he concluded all human beings still hold onto their primal behaviour. Regardless of how the prison life approached him into seeking our ways of being ourselves, he knew his mind had to focus on the MC as soon as he would get past the Clubhouse's gates. And so he did. REALITY CHECK It was after receiving a quick summary of what had happened and what was about to happen from Road Captain Wolfy, Ricardo realized how fast the club was growing. Prospects were willing to do what it would take to establish in Sandy Shores with whom they would someday expect to call "Brothers". People around town were starting to recognize the motorcycles, the vests, it's colours, and especially: What they stand for. Just in time of his arrival, church was about to take place. It was time to wear those patches back on and handle all the affairs.
  6. I had my first jail time yesterday. I had nice RP even if there were only 5 to 6 people RP'ing. Most people in here should be aware that Roleplay is about the experience, even if you are alone you can write some dope /me's or /do's and that'll help towards building your character's personality. But it seems nowadays everyone's focused on being the toughest OG around town through drive-by shooting and from guns.. it's not about that, but the experience mate. I spent 3600 seconds in jail yesterday or so and I made some connections including officers after getting out, witnessed shit happening, committed my character's first brutal murder.. that adds essence to it.. but maybe I take this too serious, aswell as thousands of other players scattered through hardcore rp servers throughout different games.
  7. Totally agree with you and I'm glad someone made a thread about this issue. There are two simple possibilities of what's causing, and I'll be hoping it is the second one : 1. The server can't load all the players movement, crashes and automatically does a rollback SOLUTION: If possible, pay for higher-end server machines. If not, we'll have to understand and stick with it, but this will be a HUGE downside, and if it continues to occur, expect the player base to drop because no one wants to lose gear/items worth 2-3-4 hours of farm in an accidental restart. 2. Random server restarts by the staff without any warnings or whatsoever. SOLUTION: Send an automated WARNING whenever the server is about to restart. This takes minutes to implement.
  8. If you remove the afk timers, everyone will be AFK'ing, this is a fact, which will allow players to perform illegal activities without any fear of having to wait in jail.. and from there, we'll have a Los Santos full of wanna-be OG gangsters fearless of going to jail because as soon as they go to jail, they get off their PC's whilst having the game opened and go n' do something else until they're back for more chaos. You know this is a fact. It's a no from me.

    Job progression

+1 took the same conclusion after going to the mines for the first place and thinking I was in a music festival after noticing all the RV's. Looked like an endgame location and I thought to myself I was playing a god damn MMO! hahaha Job progression wouldn't be hard to implement and would definitely add some difference to the server, however, due to the fact everything economically speaking is player-driven, it makes it harder to implement these. What would be easy to add would be an extra percentage for jobs done, based off the hours you've spent whilst having that job. For X hours with that job, you'd climb up in a job rank, made for each different job, or a standard measure for all jobs, whatever. After leveling up a rank, you could get +5% more cash after completing deliveries.. and so on. It is a fact that IRL there are well paid jobs, better than others, but let's not have just a single job as the meta, because going up to the mine looks exactly like either a music festival or an MMO XP/Gold Grind Fest where there's no RP but straight up grind.
  10. To me, the penal code put forward by LSPD is to be not only understood ICly but OOcly. A criminal who would know the world he operates in wouldn't conceal his face at full times if he really was a criminal. What's happening in the server regarding this topic is more than irrealistic. No thug would do this. Therefore, to me, it falls under the server rules due to lack of proper roleplay and citizenship knowledge.
  11. Thank you for commenting! Really helps out, that's exactly what I mean. I'm not going to advertise on here, but I played on a Hardcore RP server, one of the most popular in SA:MP, and I've learned how to behave regarding the masks after a massive gun deal I've made with one of the biggest mobs in the server. It took us months of planning for us to get the hardware and the trade set up without any interference. After the successful trade, we bring out two burritos, split the hardware and stash them in the back of the van. We get a motorcycle convoy set up, with the vans in the middle in case if we'd get stopped, the vans wouldn't be the first check by the cops. After noticing a roadblock ahead by our crew members, we were able to do a U turn and go back, splitting up. Me and another guy took one of the vans by ourselves without any convoy, and we put our bandanas on just so we wouldn't get recognized as part of an Outlaw MC and get stopped on the way.. but it turns out we did get stopped. We didn't get stopped because of the hardware. We didn't even get stopped because we were driving a suspicious van in the middle of the night. We got stopped because we were wearing bandanas and we were obstructing our faces. I was asked to hand out my ID to the officer, which I did. But how would the officer confirm the ID was mine if he couldn't even see my face? From there, and from my denial to remove the bandana, we were forced to step out after more officers came to check out what suspicious activity was going on, and our deal not only had crashed from that moment, but our recent and powerful connection down to the ground because me and another guy decided to wear a bandana. A. Simple. Bandana.
  12. People are allowed to roleplay whoever they want to be, if that envolves a mask, so be it. I get your point. Following your logic, if I want to roleplay a terrorist, I'll be going to walk around the city with a weapon in my hands, because if a civilian breaks any rules, the cops won't interfere. This is what you meant by what you wrote. If the cops see you speeding, you might be surelly onto something, the same applies to real life, therefore, it applies to RP. Don't speed if you ended up committing a crime. If players were aware of what it truly takes to be a criminal, there wouldn't be badasses everywhere and Los Santos wouldn't be as chaotic as it is. Reminds me of APB Reloaded, set in a place and time where the law does exist but they can't do anything about the crimes rates and criminal behaviour. We have enough police enforcement here, aswell as criminals, but 99.9% criminals walk around showing off their criminal status. And that's hilarious to me. There should be a sub-category for Fear RP: Fear Law RP.. it is real, and it happens everytime. I wouldn't be enjoying if cops abused it, but I wouldn't regret taking a criminal path aswell. That's what you get for being a criminal. It's hard and it is supposed to be hard and to require brains before pulling something out. You get caught, you get caught. As much as I enjoy the criminal side, the law must also win. No matter where we are in Los Santos, the law is there. I keep saying to myself I am playing in a real city with real people, not a city with NPC's where I can do whatever Rockstar Games decided me to go throughout the game I play in.
  13. I have been told so, and I must agree, it is an IC issue. However, due to not seeing any scenarios regarding the mask use from the cops, I took it as a lack of rule knowledge envolving facial concealments, that's why I created a topic about it. Thank you for commenting!
  14. Sure thing. The suggestion here doesn't envolve gamechanging scripts, it consists on suggesting the playerbase to be aware of what Roleplay truly is, therefore, I am suggesting players to avoid abusing the IC "powers" you can have while concealing your face, and how troubling it is for the other side of the law to succeed at their jobs.
  15. I don't want to compare in between hardcore RP servers I played back in SA:MP, but I must express my opinion regarding the masks and bandanas: "It is illegal to wear clothing which covers the entire face, or covered up to the point where only the eyes are uncovered, or renders the face unrecognisable, on public transport and in buildings and associated yards of educational institutions, governmental institutions and healthcare institutions." It is not allowed. Period. It goes under facial concealment charges and you can get punished for it. Obviously, I wouldn't suggest the cops to start going around and arresting everyone for doing so, I'm suggesting the whole player base to gain some common sense and think about Los Santos as how it was supposed to be. Just imagine. You'd be free to wear those masks if there was no law around. But it happens there is law, and still, you are free to cover your face, but if you do so, expect warns from the cops because Los Santos isn't in full-on anarchy status. If you're going to wear a bandana or a mask, be smart about it. Don't just hide your face. Change your entire clothing. Have a specific clothing for dirty business so you won't be recognized by witnesses or whatnot. Don't use a bandana/mask at full times out of ego, do it for the actual roles you're doing at the given time. Think about how balanced it would be for the law to figure out what you and your fellas would be doing if you were driving a black van wearing bandanas in the middle of the night, think about the opportunities they'd have regarding the good and evil. It wouldn't honestly please me if I'd get caught having a bandana on me doing illegal activities, but it'd be fair. It's not about wether you like it or not, but about what's best for everyone. Please feel free to share your opinions. Edit: Also, feel free to move this thread in case it doesn't fit in the right subject. Regards, Rykarch
  16. Hey everyone, my name's Rykarch, and I've recently joined the ECRP Community, aswell as GTA V (Yes, I know I'm late). I started roleplaying around 2012 and until now (with major breaks, of course) I was playing on one of the most known hardcore RP servers in SA:MP, where I mostly played in several characters, following a outlaw biker role, aswell as....... RP'ing as myself *huehuehue* Being Portuguese, Roleplaying has really helped me throughout the years to develop my English skills and to get them in shape day by day. It has also allowed me to see things from many different perspectives. Some may consider being in a desk roleplaying can be useless or a waste of time, but it really depends with what you do with the information you're given in-game. Nothing is a time waster if used properly. Either way, enough philosophy. I'm looking to focus on ECP and I plan to build a stable reputation amongst members in the community, and being a part-time streamer (nothing serious), I plan to catch some of you dirty fools breaking the rules so the server will actually be able to grow and remain centered around the RP scene. I leave you with an old clip on one of the biggest MC's to date, who's President was an actual 1%er Enforcer. This was about to become the first and last war of the White Knights. Hope to meet you in-game anytime soon!
