  1. The speed cap was imposed because players would intentionally lower their settings to gain advantage over others. It is not realistic to magically have your car go faster than another person purely because your PC is more powerful.
  2. Which is fine, if you're not actually breaking a rule, ignore their comments. They're stalling it for themselves by going to /b constantly while you Role-play.
  3. Point that everyone is missing, is that there's no RP reason for some of these individuals who rob people minding their own business. It's literally just "LMAO FREE STUFF" that goes through their mind, rather than having good Role-play. A lot of the times, if you give valid Role-play in return, you get powergamed or they ask in /b "Why aren't you complying? FearRP?!" When you're only Role-playing in return. Best way to counter this is to give them Role-play. Comply, but make them have to Role-play in return, rather than just them doing "/me pats man down; /do s?", give them instances where they actually need to think about the Role-play, such as responding with "/do s, however you would find that my pockets have zips, and are closed.", etc. You can counter Poor Role-play with Good Role-play. I've had people literally just give up on an attempt to rob my character purely because I was giving them too much Role-play to work with.
  4. you're committing a crime already by doing it without getting taxed.
  5. Same thing IC. It's illegal and there's RP to get it back.
  6. +1. It's essentially an exploit to go 300+ if I'm being honest. Players are fully aware that putting your game on the lowest settings and having a beastly computer means you can go much faster in certain cars. As for the argument present throughout this thread about "limiting" PD/SD's speeds.. I disagree strongly. The issue isn't PD/SD's speeds, it's the speed of CIVILIAN vehicles which AREN'T boosted, getting boosted by abusing mechanics of Rage MP. It's not about fairness or realism, it's about the rules of the server.

    Painkillers

+1 I personally try to give more in-depth RP to the simple "painkiller" we hand out as medics, however people don't even read the RP. they just auto do the "/do yes" or "/do consumes painkiller" If no new structure is implemented, I'd like it to at least be changed that you have to RP a realistic injury. People getting shot 5 times walking up to MD like "oh, painkiller plz" is incredibly, incredibly poor roleplay and us as medics would prefer unique roleplay situations. Medics seem more like a literal heal button on the server, rather than someone who saves your character's life. It's a roleplay server, and while it doesn't need to be an intensive roleplay scenario for someone having been shot, it should still be realistic.
  9. +1. Increase in scummy scams is pretty bad lately - even if it's only a game and it's part of the roleplay, it's also time and effort put into earning that money. OOC effort, hours of grinding and work. We don't have realistic prison times because it would not make sense OOCly to sit a 1:4 ratio IRL for their imprisonment. So being scammed of.. well 500k.. 1 million.. it's hours, days, months of grinding passed over by someone out "smarting" another. Money is an IC currency, yes, but it's still effort put in on an OOC level as well. Scamming needs better ruling placed onto it, I haven't been scammed yet - however the chances of it happening on Eclipse lately is pretty high.
  10. +1, 1. Would reduce the amount of people hopping into cars and driving off 2. Gives an ACTUAL reason to turn the engine off. 3. It's realistic. HOWEVER. Timer should be increased based on how expensive the car is. Can't exactly "hotwire" a super car irl, they have a lot more complex security in place which would take time to break.

    Bugged weapons

This bug seems to have been resolved automagically a while ago - completely forgot about this report.
  12. Oh trust me it's far from empty, there's no NPCs for performance reasons mostly. The server is quite busy at peak times and you'll come to appreciate no "locals".
  13. Cars are not realistic at all when it comes to their lock. I think that cars are fine to be stolen, however the higher end cars should have security systems in place, such as an immobilizer, which almost all cars irl have. On top of that, a lockpick should only work on a single door. In reality, you can't lockpick a house for example and then end up having access to everything inside, including locked doors. My suggestion is that if a robber wants to lockpick a car, they should only be able to access what they have lockpicked. Driver's door = able to drive vehicle but not able to access the trunk unless they lockpick that too. It's not logical to allow full access to a vehicle simply through getting access to one door. Cars are not that simple and it is so exploitable.

    Bugged weapons

Date and time (provide timezone): 14/08/2019 Character name: Frost Jack Issue/bug you are reporting: Weapons equipped, but cannot be accessed through tab menu at all. Expected behavior: Should be able to access weapons through tab menu. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: As you can see in the video, I've got a gun and a knife equipped, however it does not show in my TAB menu at all. It's also not in my inventory. This bug happens whenever I log off with the weapons equipped. I try to remember to unequipped them before I log off however it's not something I actively think of. There's a fix for it that I found, however it's not ideal at all. If I get injured (downed) it goes back into my inventory and I can once again access them. I consider this game breaking. I only have the visual element of self defense for my character. A robber could ask me to drop my gun or my knife and they'll think I'm ignoring FearRP if I can't drop it, which I can't do. It's impossible to drop a weapon if you can't hold it in your hand. Not only that, but I can't even USE the weapons. They're just there. Please, I need a fix. I've tried pretty much everything and this bug persists. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
