  1. The Return

    vFplwJ4.png

The year is 2024, Los Santos continues to flourish with all walks of life and developmental projects. The city almost unrecognizable from what it was all those years ago. You mean to tell me there's a burgershot and motherfuckers banging MKIIs in the streets? Unreal. A text message notification echos through Jamaar’s apartment and with finesse he ashes his joint, walking over to the nightstand. He picks up his phone and swipes, a look appears on his face that could only be described as confusion and subtle shock.

A mix of emotions floods Jamaar’s brain, both fond and horrific memories flashing one by one. Unprecedented wealth, respect, brotherhood, power, warfare, betrayal, loss, sleepless nights. He scans his apartment, getting a full glimpse of his current situation, and gets a sudden realization of how hard he has fallen in comparison to his former self. It was decided and a meeting location was determined.

The crew was making a comeback. Throughout The Wanted’s years of inactivity, car-oriented gangs have come and gone, direct copies included. The torch was passed off with open arms and old members were happy to see their concept being carried on, but its return is long overdue. Vahan Mirakian and Jamaar Bovarium quickly began assembling a foundation for growth, establishing two primary locations for their business to be conducted.

High command began the recruitment process, bringing in new members from all types of different backgrounds with an undying interest in vehicles. After creating a baseline of reliable members, Jamaar began reaching out to the OG wanted members from the past. Interest was high in The Wanted’s return and the organization quickly grew from a compact crew to a sizeable group with both new and returning faces from all those years ago.

With the organization rapidly gaining back its notoriety and its presence being embedded in both the drug trade and illegitimately obtained vehicle part market, paths were crossed with other organizations with their own unique impact on the city of Los Santos. Establishing relations with forces such as these has always been a top priority for The Wanted and through their previously made connections with many members of these groups things kicked off quickly with meetings and mutually beneficial business opportunities coming into fruition.

The past few weeks since The Wanted’s return has been filled with growth, lessons learned, financial gain, and reunion. As the sun sets in Los Santos, one thing is for certain. Orange is back in all its glory.

  2. Agreed.

While I respect what Eclipse has been doing to try and cut down on excessive conflict on the criminal side, I believe it's gone too far. The way I've interpreted the criminal landscape nowadays is that conflict between gangs is frowned upon and has become more tedious than ever. Fighting via the forums instead of in-game has always been around, but I feel as though the room for error now has only fueled that problem. In 2019/2020 when conflict between gangs was far more prominent, forum wars would happen out of spite, but I was never concerned about it because I was confident with my knowledge of the guidelines and what was acceptable.

My character has always been a criminal, but now I'm pretty much a civilian. Why? Because the idea of heavily involving myself in criminal roleplay like I used to genuinely makes me nervous. That is a problem.

  3. Issue Being Reported: After rejoining the ECRP discord I was required to link my account with the bot, however, my account is already linked to my discord.

Date and Time of Issue (provide timezone): 17/10/2021

    Your characters name: Jamaar Bovarium

Evidence and/or notes worth mentioning: I would like to request my account be unlinked in order to receive the corresponding roles.

  4. I'm indifferent about this suggestion.

Around the early stages of my time in this community I recall a storyline between myself and another long time player that was entirely centered around discrimination towards my character. The way I was treated by this person and the slurs directed at me during interactions, mostly during gang politics, made me genuinely mad on both an IC and OOC level. However, I had never been more emotionally invested or immersed in a game until this point. In the end, both of our character progression was fantastic (The antagonist also turned out to be a great guy ooc). This is an example of what explicit storytelling has to offer.

On the other hand, we've all had interactions with people who abuse the ability to say whatever they so please. In a lot of these encounters you can definitely tell that they aren't using these slurs for the sake of portraying their character. While I haven't had many of these experiences as of recent, it has certainly been a problem. As Alex said, given the environment and attitude of some players, I am not surprised at all that this is a topic of discussion.

I don't think that vocabulary should be limited outright, but I do understand the concern and feel for those that are effected by this issue.

Ideally I think that excessive, pointless, and straight up malicious use of slurs should be dealt with on a case by case basis. But I know that it isn't an easy task and a lot is left up to interpretation. Hope my input is helpful.

  5. The Los Santos Triads have always positively influenced my experience among this community, no matter if it was ups or downs ICly. You will be missed and do not forget the impact you've made. Well done everyone.

After a good three months since Jamaar's departure from Los Santos to Chicago there have been
a plethora of changes in terms of the weapons trade. What was once a direct supply maintained
by the Mexican Cartels has now become an obsolete form of import and export. One thing long
term gang bangers in the city of Los Santos have come to learn is that the lifestyle is a
dynamic landscape that one must be prepared to adapt to. Following this change, many figures
among various turfs in the city have become the go-to for a variety of weaponry and ammunition.
Jamaar had made a connection with one of these figures and expanded the infamous GD weapons
pipeline into a system that transports said artillery back into Los Santos. During his downtime,
Jamaar heard a ringing from his cellphone to which he promptly answered the call.

Ricky Brasco's voice was heard on the other end, requesting a special delivery of micro smg ammunition.
Ricky loves his micro smgs. With a chuckle Jamaar agreed, requesting a mule to his warehouse located
at <redacted>. You love to see it.

While Jamaar isn't necessarily the one to load up the imports, he decided it would be in his best interest
to do so for his brothers back at home. He began by loading up the crates with ammo boxes, making sure to
throw in a little extra. He stacked the crates and waited for the mule to arrive. Shortly after, the mule
was found to be waiting patiently for the doors to be opened. Jamaar hit the button and began loading it
up with the help of the driver. With the package loaded it was now en route to an undisclosed location in
    Los Santos.

The package successfully made it to the drop off location. A text was received from Ricky confirming the order
had landed followed by an expression of gratitude. Jamaar looked down at his phone, picturing the scenic drop off
location he had become very familiar with back home with a smile.

  7. The way I perceive it is that punishment appeal wait times are dependent on two things. Severity/Complexity of the appeal and Senior Admin availability. These are real people that put in work here on their free time and it's completely understandable that it would take a good chunk of time to go through statements and evidence to come up with a suitable outcome.

It would be great to have appeal times shifted to a shorter wait period but reality is they've got shit going on in their lives, same as us. I feel like that's a reasonable way to look at this.
