I think overall it’s a interesting suggestion, however, I think for legal citizens purchasing legal vests, it should be possible to trace vests back to the original purchaser similarly to guns.

The reason I feel that distinction is important is mostly due to the fact that higher criminal import cost would just lead to criminals buying them from legal citizens at a cheaper rate with lower risk.

This would ideally be done via a serial number on the vest or something alone that lines, hence the section "same restrictions to that of guns".

It should definitely be limited availability and criminals should be making the majority of their purchases via other criminals.

  2. With the recent implementation of the armour slot in the UI it has now made it so that you can wear armour when desired. Due to this the interest in such has vastly increased from both Legal and Illegal sides.

Currently armour can only be acquired via PD/SD/DOC faction commands or a weaker version imported at a high price by official criminal factions.

    The changes:

    Legal

Body armour is currently only illegal to wear as a felon, thus it should be made buyable via gunstores but with the same restrictions applied to that of guns. The armour would be at a cheaper value than an illegal import, say 30k and not 40k. If your armour is depleted you could buy a repair kit every so often, to increase its durability.

    Illegal

Increase the amount of armour in a vest to 50% to match that if a standard police officer, still costing 40k per vest (minimum import of 10).

    The balance

Legals risk losing their body armour/having it depleted, upon it requesting a repair kit or new armour a police report would have to be filed on how it was damaged or lost.

Criminals currently face a 5% notification chance on import on all criminal factions + pd & sd, further creating larger value drops for more competition to compete over.

Criminals face the risk of losing their 40k purchase + weapons and an extra charge, this alone will push a lot away from wearing it at all times.

SWAT & SED already have higher armour than a standard officer, meaning they would still have the "advantage" when it comes to criminals who wish to take the risk to utilise armour.

This would further assist an existing branch of "dealer" rp from all civilians, legals and criminals, along with expanding the reach to more than just criminals and law enforcement. I know personally a lot of mechanics, can drivers and civilians would like this added layer of "protection".

  3. To put it simple, every single injured body acts like a brick wall, blocking anything that hits it and preventing people from climbing ladders etc, used as body blocking.

Injured characters should have this removed and exist as if you were to walk right through them, removing the stated issues & more.

the police supercars are actually slower than the regular cruisers, because they are stock. we've been pushing to change that, so we wouldn't need a speed cap.

The helicopter also only goes up to 240 at best. If it went 300 like it does irl, wouldn't be an issue

I'm happy to see that this is a shared opinion, had PD been given the "unique" assets with the speed and capability of chasing these faster cars, it would make sense that the cap would be removed.

However, I do agree that  certain cars could be fine tuned/un-nerfed with the introduction of the speed cap, that being super cars and other sports cars that would realistically pass 240 km/h IRL. From a criminal perspective alone, I would be much happier to be overtaken in a super car by another super car and not run of the mill crown vic.

For example, in #development there are teaser pictures about more A.I drug dealers... in my and many other people's opinion, that is the wrong direction as far as the drug system goes. We should be moving towards a more player-involved system rather than more A.I.

This section is being developed to coincide with the development of turfs. The drug drop off ai will likely be used to influence the capture on a turf.

However I do agree I would love to see some community polls asking others opinions and feedback for potential areas that may be implemented.

  6. Date and time (provide timezone): 13/06/2020 20:00 (GMT+1)

    Character name: Bruce Wong

Issue/bug you are reporting: World Interaction UI not showing for objects on islands.

Expected behavior:  For the UI to be visible when looking at the object.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Go to the island, look at the object and attempt to interact with it.

Footage will be provided to staff upon request.

  7. Can confirm this is possible after testing with a member of staff.

    Steps to replicate:

    1. Enter the drivers seat of the vehicle.
    2. Have the mod /repair from the passenger seat.
    3. Speed cap is now removed.

    Evidence with Unix:

    Comments:

The speed cap resets on the vehicle once it has been parked.

The difference, which alot of the "council" seems to ignore is that the Zetas and Triads road to power is completely different than any other gangs. You never had the type of adversity Wca, Rooks, Russians etc had. In all of those fights you had atleast a 2/1 advantage, in the Rooks scenario it would be upwards of 4/1. I understand that I look like a hater when I promise that it is not the case, in my opinion it is human nature to want to be on top so why should the Council have to give smaller gangs special consideration because they can't handle the big bad council? Like you said you earned that position but you are kidding yoursleves acting like you faced the same challenges the other gangs in the city are currently facing with the massive 3 man zerg army plus friends and allies. But that is life and it is how things work in the city and I respect that, Council prey on the mid sized gangs, and the same mid sized gangs that complain about council prey on the small gangs  and the small gangs that complain prey on solo guys and on and on. That is the way it should be but all I am saying is the city has lost out on so much criminal roleplay because of the Council not wanting other gangs having cartel connections or being a potential threat, street gang like WCA, Street racing gang like Wanted, Shadow organization like Rooks, Mafia like Russians etc.

For you to say this shows how uninformed and oblivious you actually are, especially given thay you only joined the community in 2020. Each group alone had their struggle to the top, just because we are theew now it doesn't not mean others can earn it. Aztecas grew up through the exact same life span as all they gangs you named, faced the same if not more pressure than most and still managed to revolutionise themselves, adapt and reform their gang to one that worked its way into power, never crying for help IC or OOC like people currently do.

To say Triads alone never had the same circumstances that the current environment is makes me laugh, it was much worse to survive and grow back then than it is now. When Triads were working for official there were already Zetas, Clowns, Irish, Marcellos, Vice and Mercia all at official. 3 of the groups we were actively at war with for a large part of our growth, thay being zetas, clowns, Irish - also know as the council before us. People choose to forget about this and act as if we have always been on top, but that is merely the case. The current environment that gangs grow in is child's play compared to what molded most of the current long lasting gangs into what they are.

I'll leave you this picture as food for thought, and let's get back to the topic.

"i want more official gangs" > proceeds to wipe out all potential competition

Honestly just no allies for official factions sounds great to me, that way factions can see buffs without the worry of what we see now. Zerg fights, little to no RP during fights, toxic mentalities on all sides. All that matters right now in terms of strengh is numbers, and i think forcing people to work internally with those numbers would make a step towards making fights interesting. But hey, your gunna disagree with what i'm writing near instantly as (bluntly) alot of these changes specifically effect your faction and zetas, no one elses, hence why it likely wont be changed as i'm very sure FM don't have the stomach to not let 1 band of factions control the entire criminal aspect of the server 🙂

Proceeds to wipe out competition over months of conflict, most of which actually are left to gain Official prior to conflict reaching it's peak.

Marcello's > Irish > Wanted > Rooks > WCA. All ended up going to war over long IC tensions that built over time.

People seem to forget that none of the groups currently "in power" were always there, we earned it individually and over time by playing the correct cards. There was a time when Triads were actually at war with Zetas, and NLA at war with Triads & Zetas. People have clearly chosen to repeat the same mistakes bar a small number, who managed to reform and earn their way into success.

Groups crying OOCly for Alliances and such to be forcefully disallowed are frankly pathetic. Play your cards correctly and think about the long term plan for your faction, as most currently operate on a mere day to day basis. Man the fuck up.

As I have always said, I'm an advocate for more Official Gangs that bring the correct RP standard and mindset to the server, instead most currently fail to live due to poor leadership decisions.

Okay, so you are in favor of all players having access to the benefits of being an official criminal faction, I assume? Seeing as that is an OOC limitation on smaller gangs/criminals.

There is a difference between an OOC limitation that can be earned via hard work & dedication, instead of an OOC limitation that no one gets to make an input on and they cannot change in their own control.

I want more Official Gangs, however, the "smaller" factions need to display the effort, dedication and quality to earn this.

Just cap alliances at 60 and keep faction limit 60. Boom, both problems fixed. If you want a maxed faction then your alliance is only yourself. No need to drop down to 40. Ease peasy.

Makes no sense to limit IC relations, let alone IC recruitment compared to what it was set at as a standard for near on 2 years.

Criminals are asking for less OOC intervention on IC matters, not more.

  12. +1 I really like the idea of this suggestion.

What I think should be clarified is, how would X group take control of X zone?

And the "Safe" / "Dangerous" indicators to me would likely result in more "protection fleeing", if this was added in my opinion a clarification should also be added for fleeing from a danger zone in an active chase removes the "protection rules" unless its an NCZ of course.

This could be much more expanded upon and I believe what could be a good modern day replacement to what turfs once was.

  13. The new world interaction UI is quite off putting for most, I believe adding some of the following changes would make it feel more natural.

    1. Increase the hitbox of the UI to match the object it's on, example the whole door being interactable.

    2. Fully disable scroll wheel to draw weapons, this would prevent accidentally drawing weapons when trying to use the UI.

    3. Along with scrolling, allow mouse over interaction, example yoy move your mouse from lock to enter as a secondary option to scrolling.

    4. Move the UI interaction menu on larger objects to eye level, this solves having to always look at the ground to interact with doors, stores etc.

    5. Move the UI interaction menu to the correct side of movable objects, currently it is on door hinges and not door handles.

    6. Reintroduce /accesssafe for a temporary time period to "bugged" safes to be correct by players.

    7. Re-add the chat commands for those who prefer to type over utilising the UI, more options doesn't hurt.

Any further ideas, I'll happily edit and add them in.

    Thanks.

  14. To round this off, as it has been shown over the 6 pages of responses received in less than a day that many criminals agree with the initial statement, along with providing counter arguments and added sections throughout.

I really hope this discussion is taken seriously by the staff who dedicate their time to evaluate the thread, and some further positive changes can be pushed forward for criminals as a result of this.

It's a sad day to watch a large section of the older player base essentially dwindle away as their opinions are often swept under the rug.

    Thanks,

as a player who has experienced both fighting against and now being apart of the council i can say that from what i have seen their goal has never been to wipe out for no reason they usually have a valid reason for what they do i think a lot of people twist shit for whatever reason but that's their problem. I have fought against them as a leader of seaweed then again as a member of the wanted and for a short period as a rook and although it ended up with most of the groups disbanding i feel it was the natural progression of the rp that was happening at the time. The Azteca's were nearly wiped out by council but where able to repair their relations and continue building so to say a group can't cross the council and continue to build i think has been shown to be false. You have to be smart , dedicated and work your politics while keeping  your relationships strong so they can endure during times of conflict and make sure you have a group of individuals that's willing to keep fighting for what your trying to build. I think lowering the cap over all just becomes another obstacle newer groups will have to find a way to cope while older groups will always have the distinct advantage because of their relations and connections made over time.

    This.

The core issue is that you don't believe what you say, you've no backing of it and emotions oftenly cloud your opinon, I am quite surprised by the amount of people getting heated over what I said, but to get back to the discussion can you please explain why you question the new robbing rule yet use them benefit firsthand, and then again speak about OOC barriers and restrictions, hypocrisy.

Damn thats crazy my nigga, almost like it was a clothing store not a random street.

Stop bringing it back to your personal issues and move on cause frankly you look like a child on the notty stop crying.

As said prior, let's get it back on topic please, can all the members upset about their ex-gangs relations take a moment and at least attempt to be constructive.
