  1. +1 I could see this being used on all sides of rp, along with player owned delivery companies etc.

Warehouses currently have an inventory of 5000 volume with a scrollable bar as mentioned above. Perhaps 1/5th of this would be realistic for large scale trailer as you wouldn't want to fill an entire warehouse worth on contents in 2 trips.

OOC insults? I'd expect better behaviour from a faction leader and please remain respectful even though you disagree. and yeah the retro isn't the only issue; 811, rapid GT.

These vehicles could be limited with the same mechanic as the cruise control, OOC restriction not IC. most of the -1's are from the people that abuse these vehicles.

Yesterday someone clocked one going 350, You don't think this is beyond ridiculous?  ofcourse you don't as you own one.

Yeah I retracted my statement, prior to you posting the quote, some things still stand however. I don't plan on hiding my opinion.

    Lets do some maths:

Comet Retro's used by criminals: (Below figures are estimates and have been granted more cars than actually are used.)

    Triads - 3/40 members = 7.5%
    Zetas - 6/58 members = 10.3%
    Rooks - 3/40 members = 7.5%
    WCA - 1/25 members = 4%
    NLA - 0/25 members = 0%
    Misfits - 0/20 members = 0%
    Vory - 1/12 members = 8%
    Not Fog - 4/15 members = 26%
    Unaffiliated Criminals - 3/50 people = 6%

    Overall total 21/235 Active Criminals = 8.9%

Looking at these rough figures, a mere 9% of the active criminals on the server, utilise a comet and most don't use it as their main vehicle.

This bring us to the point that not all of these players are online at once, lets take a inaccurate example and presume 50% are EU ad 50% are NA.

Therefor meaning there is a pool of around max 4.5% of Comet users on at any given time.

Yet you make this out to be a mass abused issue? - these vehicles are the top of their tier and retain essential a Super status.

If you want to nerf cars over 4.5% over criminals who use them when you're online, it's obscene. Never mind you will never chase everyone of these players further reducing the number.

It's a niche vehicle that only a select few have the option to utilise, there is no requirement to punish these owners as they "cannot be caught"

You're literally embodying a stereotype and not willing to listen to any input what so ever.

This is a GTA GAME MECHANIC ISSSUE and effects many more cars than just the comet.

As I've mentioned above if we want to place limiters on cars as an IC restriction, there should also be ways to remove these IC that have a cost and consequences.

Make the balancing fair for each side, not just "limit comets cause pd can't catch them"

+1 but for everyone, official crim factions already get a shitload of benefits compared to non official factions.

we get imports and an F4 menu. Imports as of which are almost useless in it's current state. Far from "Shitloads" of benefits.

As I've said I'm against it for criminals only, but please do not come out here and make false claims such as the above. Please remember that Official Factions earned their reward.

  5. Date and time (provide timezone): 09/02/2020 14:00 (GMT)

    Character name: Bruce_Wong

Issue/bug you are reporting: Furniture gates can be unlocked with "Access Property" permissions but no re-locked.

Expected behavior:  "Access Property" would allow members to both Open and Close the gate.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: have a member of the Faction who only has "Access Property" unlock the gate and then attempt to re-lock this.

**- Adding the permission "Build Property" allows them to re-lock the gate.

  6. Date and time (provide timezone): 09/02/2020 01:00AM (GMT)

    Character name: Bruce_Wong

Issue/bug you are reporting: Sync issues with furniture gates

Expected behavior:   Gates to be synced server side and not client side - So they are in the same status for all players.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate

Drive into an unlocked gate after coming in from outside it's render distance and it will be fixed in place.

Get out the car, walk into it and update its status by forcing an object interaction and the gates are now usable on your client side only.

**- Allow cars with players inside to force the sync update, if unwilling to sync server side.

I wouldn't say it's unfair or unreasonable to put limiters on cars. IRL cars have limiters in them and you know exactly at what speed it won't go faster, no matter how hard you try. GTA obvsiously doesn't have that because it's GTA, but a RP server would benefit from that. So instead of buffs and all that unbalanced stuff, if all vehicles would have a limiter to their speed, it'd be much easier to have super cars actually be "super" and PD cruisers to be more reasonable when it comes to speed.

If we are going to put limiters on cars as they do IRL, we should also be able to remove them as they do IRL.

This could come with IC consequences such as an illegal modifications charge for cars etc.

I'm all down for realistic adjustments so long as it is not bias towards one end.

Let's say you're in a comet retro but you have a decent PC, you get chased by a another comet retro and for some reason his retro is faster then you just because he has an OOC advatage of having a good PC. Doesnt't make sense

Literally every single car goes faster the higher your fps, some cars are just effected by it a lot more than others.

This is not a 1 car issue, this is a game mechanic issue.

There are much more common and still available cars for purchase that are used for this specific goal of speed, yet you fail to mention these.

would suck to have to wait 5 months at least in PD to be able to pursue a vehicle

Almost as if a big standard cop irl doesn't get involved in extremely high speed chases.

Frankly I find it fairly obscene that every single unit on duty often responds to every backup call.

You once has the Traffic Enforcement Division in pd and it was very successful, you can thank a few key people within PD for attempting to kill off this branch.

Once again nerfing is not the answer to what is essentially an IC issue. Use your numbers, strategies and training to capture these cars in specific.

Yes FPS is known to effect speed, but this is built into the GTA engine as a whole and is something the entire game was built around, there is no feasible way to change this.

As a crim, no, period. as a cop, If you have a heli maybe , depends how crazy you fly and the comets max speed, 300, definately losing it

This is obscene, I have both caught poeple and been caught in the comet due to using tactics and good communication.

Instead of focusing on nerfing a niche number of vehicles, we should be focusing in tactics to prevent them evading successfully.

90% of the time you lose cops in any fast vehicle because they rarely plan ahead and instead follow the lead units calls. I've done my fair share of both crim and pd.

I have been overtook by a crown vic going 240, and the sherrif truck also traveling at the same speed. If we want nerfs to sports and super cars perhaps nerf the standard pd cruisers for an even playing field.

you probably had shit fps, Leader of traids has a gaming beast of a PC and turns everything to low. He gets it up to 300

I actually play on near to max graphics. Nothing is tuned intentionally to gain an advantage.

There is only 3 active 811's on the server, and a handful of comets that is slowly decreasing in number.

These two vehicles are high class vehicles, and easily perform to these speeds IRL. The issue of people owning them should not result in a direct punishment as others simply cannot afford to buy one themselves.

Not everything in life is fair, and neither should it be on the server. If someone wants to pay 5+ million for a fast car, that is a personal choice.

  12. Reviving this topic as the laptop is in an even worse state now than it was a month ago.

This is a critical change that would highly improve the criminal lifestyle, as currently ammo and drugs are our only viable criminal activities, which have almost diminished fully themselves.

This is a very well thought suggestion and I do not disagree with anything here.

I highly disagree with this as you're making factions that have laptops more stronger than ever leaving smaller gangs who don't have laptop access coming to people who have and getting them for higher price.

Everything that was said in the suggestion is better as it make things more equal.

Not everything in life is fair.

The gangs who have been here long, worked hard to earn their place and provided the server with rp they deemed worthy of an official faction should receive a reward over any new gangs that forms.

In no world does it make sense that a new gang has access to the same level of supplies etc as a gang that has been formed for months.

Everything being equal will lead to no competition, which is one of the main things people complain about already. Limiting access creates competition and is better for generating natural progression and rp.

It's an economy of scale, you would never see a corner boy buying directly from a distro.

Drug Runner > Drug Dealer > Drug Supplier > Drug Distributor. - Runners being smaller gangs, suppliers being the large gangs.

But the weapons that come out of thin air don't sound like GTA Online at all no?

I would say +1 to this but I don't see how it would work due to not being able to take weapons from members of these factions. I also don't see how this convoy of items would be intercepted due to the current DM rules, Once the vehicle starts rolling at a high speed demands can't be heard from a simple shout.

With proper rp cause and engagement the transport vehicle can be rammed off the road, given carried out correctly. The DM rules were adjusted to allow the use intercepting vehicles so long as you have valid reason.
