Hey there!
After the latest Rage update a few things got broken, the character creator and by extension viewing characters before selection being one of them. The development team is aware of these issues and is currently working on resolving them. In the mean time I suggest you remain patient or try your luck going in blind.
Topic will be locked and archived as there is no solution to this besides waiting.

The previous post was locked and archived on my behalf as I wasn't aware of any other solutions, however after a bit of digging I might have a solution for you.
Do you have your google authenticator backup key/QR code saved anywhere? If you have, then you could use that to regain access.

If you are unable to recover your google authenticator account however, I suggest you get in contact with the devs again to remove 2FA and I'd like to ask you to remain patient as they are quite busy at the moment resolving issues related to the new Rage MP update.

Have you been able to log in at all? And if you have been, has the issue occured anywhere else in-game?

Have you fully checked your inbox and spam? Are you sure that there were no typos in the email when you created the account.

Try first opening up GTA V by itself and then closing it down once it fully launches, then try Rage again.

1. The save game should not affect you being able to connect to the server, but you could try a 100% save files incase it does.
2. Ask about that in Rage MP’s discord or forums.

Might be, try verifying GTA files and check the firewall settings for both GTA and Rage MP.
