  1. Introduction and Mentality Coming from someone who mainly plays a character who rides a thin line between civilian and criminal, doing civilian activities by day and rolling labs and chopping by night trying my best not to get caught by pd/sd (recently failed at that for the first time gg SD I'll get my gun back in 3 months) This suggestion will be coming from a side of not only what can we change about Crim but the server in general to help improve it as Criminal or LEO are not the only problems but a part of a much larger issue. There is severe lack of competent rp from criminals when it comes to labs and "high crime zones". I was recently held at gunpoint by someone who was a "friend" for over 25 minutes as the only rp we got was him telling us to sit and if we moved we'd die, he then spent 25 minutes cooking all of our materials in the lab before shooting out our tires and leaving. Zero interaction, zero rp, no words spoken just sitting afk watching him cook is a terrible experience that makes you never want to hit labs ever again, and this unfortunately happens often to smaller groups/solos ruining the criminal experience all together, a mentality of I want what you have and I don't care about anything but taking it no matter the cost. Said person was quickly removed from the community for doing such low quality and unsavory rp to multiple people and groups. Private Chops Private chops are extremely noisy, take way too long to dismantle making them extremely risky and the money you actually make requiring a crew of 2+ people most of the time is insulting and makes private chops all but worthless unless you're a gang in need of parts for a war or to keep dealers happy. I can spend an hour driving around finding a vehicle, stealing it, driving it all the way to either a private chop or public chop up north constantly in fear of even seeing a pd/sd cruiser as they spot the chop car and recognize it as a chop car and pull an instant U-turn to follow me until the plate says stolen just to lose everything over what might have been me making 7k cash for that hour after splitting the money. I can sit at benny's making more an hour never getting arrested or committing a crime so why should I take the risk? Public Labs Public labs became a place to meet gangs to a place where your just a free rob, I remember when I first joined ECRP my friends and I were chopping cars and selling the parts to Lost as they were in a war with Rooks and needed them. Chase Vincero the absolute G rocks up in a 4 stacked Kamacho and sees us chopping at Chiliad and asks if we're selling the parts to Lost and instead of just robbing us for the parts and leaving us dead or naked and bitter, offered to pay us more if we brought the parts to him instead. That kicked off an entire relationship between my character and Rooks where I would do crime and bring my drugs and parts to Rooks for money and Chase eventually giving me a recommendation to join a gang of which I took up, hell the man personally took me around in his vehicle and gave me a masterclass on everything you need to know to cook, something of which I've done and passed on to newer players myself. PVP/Rob Mentality You walk into a lab now and three gang members with shotguns, heavies and AP rush you, get your out of your vehicle strip you naked and tell you to run away on foot with zero escalation or reasoning behind it besides a toxic mentality of steal everything you can fuck everyone that's not one of your own instead of trying to make connections and cooperate with people. Being on the flip side of that the amount of times I've been cooking and had someone come into the lab and ask if I'm cooking and I say yes, ask if they want to join me and take turns cooking and we get 2-3 different gangs all hanging out in my lab taking turns cooking and just vibing has happened quite often as I don't approach people with a toxic mentality of rob or die. Cooperation between gangs is where real money can be made instead of approaching every situation with this pvp robbing mentality many people seem to be stuck in. Recent Content and Drought Lack of new content and recently added content being too grindy or shallow is an issue I've seen too many times recently where the devs finally release an update or a brand new activity and it's half finished, not polished and requires hundreds of hours of grinding to max out. A perfect example is the replacement of the freelance jobs with the new job leveling system, I ground close to 60 hours in trucking within the first week to get to level 52, we calculated if you don't take any breaks you can earn a level roughly every hour in the new freelance jobs but with food, drink, selling, fuel, rp, repairs and not the mention stuff that takes time away from grinding outside the server you're looking at closer to 150-200 hours to max a SINGLE skill. When Archeology came in, it was buggy, and only had the first location of like 5 actually implemented meaning once you hit level 25 there was nowhere to go as the second area at the park was heavily bugged and items couldn't be dug up half the time and the only alternative was the graveyard where every dig is a potential felony charge. Or how about Chemistry a skill with only 3-4 perks one every 25 levels that we were told more levels would be added to it that would do stuff like decrease cooking time, make drugs effects last longer or make it so you could sell them for more profit. It's been so long and they've added a ton more skill levels and still have not gone back to add anything more to chemistry. The Issue With ECRP I always hear people talking about how amazing private cooking tables were, why can we not have the ability to pay an npc a certain amount of money to add a lab to my apartment of say 5 tables, but they take much longer to cook, instead of 135 seconds per drug, make it 300 seconds per drug. That way I can make a grand total of.... 60 drugs an hour where as in a public lab I can cook roughly 428 drugs in that same time with 15 tables at 2.1 minutes per drug if I'm making LSD and Ecstasy at the same time. That would be me making $32,000 an hour in my private lab compared to roughly $256,800 an hour in a public lab if uncontested. I would need to cook 10 hours in my apartment to equal one hour in publics but the risk is next to zero and would allow me to have a type of PASSIVE criminal income which is a massive thing that could solve a lot of the issues with ECRP. Right now everything in ECRP costs a TON of money, a single repair can run me 7k, eating food twice an hour costs me 3-4k, fuel costing me 1500, ammo, guns, radios, don't even bring up furniture and that all adds up to constantly losing money. That is why ECRP is asset focused, you need to be constantly grinding money to keep up with the drain of just playing, let alone being a criminal and losing 100k+ per kit every time they get arrested or killed which can take tens of hours of grinding to make back if you work a legal job or hours of afk grinding labs to make back kits. If we had ways of making a PASSIVE income people will put way less time and effort and emphasis on constantly grinding ACTIVE INCOME. The best part of being new to ECRP is you basically can rely on the 1k an hour you get from gov until your tax bracket begins to rise and you make less and less money both from working jobs with an unrealistically high 35% tax rate as the server punishes you just for progressing to the lowered insulting 100 an hour passive income from gov at that same tax bracket which if you're at the point you're being taxed 35% gov shouldn't be paying you anything anymore in the first place. There is no world where I should go from making 7k an hour after tax to buying a house and suddenly now I only make 4550 an hour. Changes We Need to See We need gangs to more strictly stick to their lore and have a less pvp, rob mentality when going into labs or areas of crime the name of the game is cops vs robbers, not robbers vs robbers featuring cops, cooperation allows for rp situations, arms deals, trades, a black market, a criminal underworld. Yes gang beef will happen but once the situations resolved don't keep beefing and purposely targeting each other you're not children the enemy is pd/sd. What happened to Rooks being the businessmen of the criminal world doing deals and navigating politics, or Bratva being the cities Russian main chemical importer using their chemical imports to make dealings with other gangs and people in the city, each gang should have their own specific lore imports that are locked from other gangs, if those gangs want those items, do deals and trades, setup dead drops and use the tools we're given like the new criminal apps. That gives pd and gang and narcotics and detectives rp to do, investigations to conduct to try and compromise those dealings, raid warehouses and breakup dealings and labs. We need some form of PASSIVE income available for criminals, civilians and cops that makes grinding assets less of a main focus. Ideas such as owning assets that pay you a % of their worth like stocks or owning companies giving you a certain amount of passive income to help run them depending on the type of business or private labs making a comeback but with drawbacks like higher cook times like 300 seconds per drug that can earn you income passively so you're not pressured to constantly grind assets and can give more effort to creating rp, the old DOJ server let every player pick their salary range and they earned that passively allowing them to work for RP reason and not to earn money specifically. That way playing is not about asset grinding but creating and maintaining rp without needing to grind. Taxes need to be looked at and touched, the server should not be punishing those who play and progress on it instead of rewarding dedication and time. Activities already implemented need to be overhauled and relooked over, freelance job exp requirements lowered or exp upped as it takes hundreds of hours to grind a single skill. Existing skills should also be looked at and rebalanced and all skills added and fleshed out, an upgrade every 5 levels people should want to do freelance jobs for fun not to grind hours upon hours for the same amount of money sitting at a mechanics would give. The attitude towards newer players should be to help drive them forward and educate them rather than see them as easy prey, like come on guys a new player may try to rob you with a knife or try to search your trunk but use that as learning experiences, kidnap them and shave them instead of just gunning them down and walking away. And if they ask for info or help give it, we are the seniors and we are their role models, adult up and act like it.
  2. I know I haven't been on the server for nearly as long as some people have been, going on three years this December, but I want to just let my opinion be known and how I feel the issues in PD could be handled from someone who plays a civ/crim. The bulk of the issues with pd are an unenforced loose ROE when it comes to engaging in rp situations with criminals and even at times with civilians too. ROE for anyone who doesn't know stands for Rules Of Engagement and dictate what level of response a situation warrants based on several different factors. When pulled over by police, PD has a tendency to stack an ungodly amount of vehicles onto any traffic stop just incase it turns into a chase which it inevitably will but we'll get into that in a second. There is almost no situation in where I should be getting pulled over for going 95 in an 80 zone and have to wait 5 minutes as 7 police vehicles line up behind me for what will amount to a citation or verbal warning. PD ROE should have 2 cars max on a traffic stop, 4 cars max to a chase, dropping down to 3 if air 1 get's involved which it does not need to every time. Right now, if a chase occurs the first thought in my mind is "I'm now free to do crime and speed till this chase ends" because every single cop in the city will tag themselves onto the chase have an insane numerical advantage over the poor 3 stacked Kamacho who accidently forgot one of the members had an illegal gun or some drugs in their pocket. A police chase quite literally becomes free crime times, I have called pd numerous times for shootouts, robberies, murder, tons of crimes just to get a call from someone going "no ones going to answer your 911 call we're all busy chasing an LC" before hanging up the call on me. This touches on another subject quite a few people have brought up and that's PD automatically trying to find ANY reason to search a car or your persons especially if you're in a gang, unless you have reasonable suspicion there is no reason that pd are pulling gang members out of their vehicles every stop and unfortunately that's one of the things that killed the servers fun for gangs like the souls whom have now all quit the server over targeted harassment from pd. I was talking to their members ooc and they couldn't count the amount of times they'd heard "your with the souls right, step out of the vehicle and turn around" before being taken out and their inventories and car being searched for as little as speeding or taking a wrong traffic maneuver often leading to them not even rping out traffic stops but just resorting to jumping out trying to kill the officer or running every single traffic stop. PD needs not only a stricter ROE but a guideline and the training on situational awareness and making decisions based on how bad a situation is rather than the LEO version of a gang pager hit for every situation, if they pull over a vehicle and have visual on one or more guns then they can call for additional units up to 4 or 3 with air 1 if the vehicle is one that is known to particularly fast or agile. If PD pulls up to a bank and there's 15 bikes out front, yes get all forces to come down to match by all that is holy but for the single Kamacho and two bikes you don't need 12 PD vehicles all armed with carbines and pump shotguns. There should be almost no situation where every available unit is on the same call at the same time it's just highly unrealistic and as I stated before creates periods sometimes lasting a while of free crime time as no other officers are around to deal with other situations. People will say PD/SD has a play to win mentality and while SOME specific individuals do a lot of our cops are just either bored or tired of dealing with crap and want low quality rp to finish quicker in hopes of joining the next chase or active situation. And while some don't want to admit it, rp is a two way street much like a dance or conversation, both parties need to be willing to makes concessions whether that be instead of an officer calling backup for guns they do a quick "/do would I notice the pistol on the gang members side" before rolling a dice and if he loses the traffic stop continues with a ticket or verbal warning, we have tools at our disposal but everyone doesn't want to use them for fear of not being perfect, not having the best outcome. One of the coolest rp situations I ever got in was a man tried to get my gun and I left it up to a dice roll and he won so I handed him my gun, he proceeded to take me hostage and get me to drive him to pillbox in which a medic noticed something was wrong and held him at gunpoint, he tried to shoot the medic and the medic injured him before calling police and I was able to get my gun returned to me and he was arrested, I could've easily just done "/do the weapon would be locked in it's holster" and not allow him to get it but for the sake of rp I made the concession and lost. IF PD/SD can begin making concessions gangs can easily join in the dance and we can see an improvement in rp from both sides. Take that traffic stop instead of the officer losing the dice roll he notices the gun and asks for the gang members ID which comes back with a revoked license, he can then make a choice, escalate the situation right there where a chase will ensue or he may get jumped on by the gang members or he can say he's just gonna run the id really quick go back to his car and call for an additional unit or two for an individual with an illegal pistol. At this point that small interaction is more rp than most traffic stops get right now which is sad to see a serious rp servers standards drop so far. Speaking of roleplay standards I have an opinion I need to get off my chest that will probably get me a lot of hate. ECRP is too dependent on text based rp for it's own good and thankfully lately we've seen some changes that move away from this dependency a bit. Yes, some people in the server are deaf, others cannot speak but text chat and text based rp are completely different things with the server favoring TEXT over INTERACTION, no one interacts and communicates, everything boils down to people standing around writing text based rp which will never fly especially in a 5M server. In most 5M servers people favor interactions over text. A perfect example of this is the mechanics in the city, not one customer coming in could give one fuck about how I'm repairing their vehicle so why am I forced to write a bunch of text rp for fixing it ignoring them completely before they drive away. Quite often I'll find myself not doing any rp but favoring interaction and having conversations with the customers as I work on their vehicle, if they ask what the damage is I'll tell them verbally but otherwise I'm asking an officer what's going on in the city, if they've had any interesting arrests that day, interacting and roleplaying with them instead of ignoring them to writing "/me replaces the air filter" for the 130th time that day. Unless dealing with a deaf person there is no reason a cop cannot verbally say "suspect down going in for cuffs" before attempting to cuff someone instead of copy pasting "/me attempts to cuff the suspect" a half dozen times per interaction. Got a little off topic near the end sorry about that but I have a genuine love for ecrp and it hurts to see it dying quickly when I have so much to say that I feel could help improve the server for the better for everyone. to you all and hopefully we can see some changes and a server turnaround.
  3. If they allow planting anywhere I personally think we should be able to roll or turn plants into seeds just from a right click interact, needing an extra item or two like rolling papers or plant clippers whilst replacing weed tables in labs with different tables making them a bit more balanced/useable for the harder drugs. I don't see why we have to go to a lab creating LSD, Cocaine, Ecstasy etc. Just to roll a blunt or turn it into seeds, even most of the crimes related to weed are lesser crimes in their own lower tier and should be separated from the rest of cooking, you should be able to go to a grocery store to buy plant clippers for seeds and add rolling papers at the shady businessmen around the city for cash. Have 1 paper and 2 plants allows you to right click the plants and roll it, you can use the lockpick animation and a 30 or 45 second timer or whatever then it gives you a blunt and removes 2 plants and 1 paper, with a chance of getting low, medium, high, or top tier based on your cooking skill. This should give less exp than cooking most drugs which I believe weed already does. Same animation maybe more time for converting a plant into seeds have it remove 1 plant and add a random 1-3 seeds to you and damage the clippers a bit, effectively making weed a more of an introduction to making drugs. You start out as a criminal hitting ATM's and growing plants, rolling weed until you eventually get further into the server and begin getting into higher tier crime, store robberies, chopping, cooking drugs before moving onto even higher tier crime with house robberies and bank robberies it would add another step of lower tier crime progression that would add a ton of opportunity and even more rp to the server.
  4. Hello, as someone who plays semi regularly on ECRP (every day we all know I'm addicted) I've talked to a lot of people ICly and OOCly on issue's surrounding the Skill Level system and I wanted to put in a suggestion that I think would even the playing field and would address one of the main issue's most people have brought up with the leveling system. The main issue a lot of people have with the Levels System for criminal activities and freelance activities (I would love to see a mechanic, police and medical systems be added and incorporated in such repairing faster as a mechanic or getting paid commission at certain levels like 5% at lvl 10, 10% at lvl 25, 15% at level 50, 20% at lvl 75, and 30% at lvl 90 but that's for another suggestion). Is that people have been around for years cooking and doing house robberies and now have nothing to show for it as everyone got slapped back to level 0. When online in ECRP you can hit your grave accent key ~ key to see everyone on the servers accumulated exp gained for doing jobs and cooking etc. from other the years. My suggestion is to allow people to spend that exp as a currency on a 2/1 basis for every 2 exp earned over the years they get 1 redeemable exp to use on any skills. Me having 1.2 million exp over the past 2 years would be able to then go into the Umenu, View Levels, and see that I have a 2/1 : 600,000 exp to spend across 20-25 skills once they are all redone and be able to go into any skill and redeem that exp. This would allow people to pick and choose how to translate their years of experience in the city into different skills in a non-overpowered way either becoming masters of a few skills and nothing in the rest or spending it equally on some skills and specializing in some other stuff. As a mechanic for 2 years in the city I would spend 100k points to max out my mechanic skill level (If it was added) as I've had the top rank at almost all three shops and so canonically it would make sense while being able to get a head start on some things I haven't maybe tried out before opening up a whole new way of experiencing the many skills the state has to offer. Bought exp levels would apply to only that character and not all characters so people with alts can't just max all criminal skills and have it across the board and any exp bought through this method just like the bitcoin levels shouldn't show up on the scoreboard. Only actually earned exp and this would allow people to turn years of actual experience in the server into tangible skills allowing for retroactive leveling with a far higher ease of access compared to what some others have suggested such as the devs just figuring out how much people have cooked since tables were removed etc. and retroactively adding levels till now moving this from a dev issue to a player action. Just my two cents on how the devs could retroactively turn peoples time over the years into experience in the new levels system allowing people to gain the skill levels they feel they deserve for their past time and effort spent in the city! If you have any suggestions put it below or a +1 would be awesome see if we can gain traction on this.

  7. After reviewing footage it seems that way we initially thought it was a bug due to all 3 of us dropping dead in the same spot but for some reason we're running out of breathe underwater after just a few seconds??? Has there been a recent change to swimming/diving that we were not made aware of, I've checked the ECRP discords development logs and found no mention of any changes to this mechanic that would cause this to happen.

    Campfire

I've been having this same issue even with meat at 95% but was in a fridge for a time, I think it needs to be cooked relatively quickly after gutting to work, I gutted a rat and placed the campfire right after and it let me cook.
  10. +1 We 100% need more faction jobs and just jobs in general in the city, always feels like people are limited to Police, Lawyer, Mechanic for careers and Road Construction, Bus Driving, Burgershot for non faction jobs.
  11. +1 I don't know why this isn't already a feature. We have the ability to change a set permissions for people for Apartments why not have the same system where you can add a person to your vehicle's permissions and set whether they are able to have keys, repair it and modify it as three different settings. That way if you let someone rent the vehicle you could set them to be able to have keys and repair it but not modify it and if it's a friend you trust you can allow them to have keys, repair it and modify it.
  12. Date and time (provide timezone): 5:16 pm MST/MDT December 27th 2023 Character name: Jack Falken Issue/bug you are reporting: The automated salary of the burger shot (900 every in-game hour) isn't working again, we had this issue earlier this month and it was fixed for a few days but broke again and no one thought to report it for over a week now. Expected behavior: Getting the hourly salary when working burger shot. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: To replicate go to burger shot, join the job and wait for the automated salary to appear, you won't get paid at the start of every hour.
