It provides the chance for everyone to come together as a community, to mix with players that they may not usually mix with day-to-day. A chance to create bonds and friendships outside of the normal circles. Regardless of faith or beliefs last year many players still came together to take part whether it was the parade or the party at the end.

Appreciate the answer. However, would any event achieve this? It’s not a down right unthinkable thing to say that the LBGTQ+ movement generally causes unrest. So why not base it upon a different event? E.g., men’s mental health month.

Apparently to like notice difference or something. they/them force it on us enough man im sick of it. I play eclipse to escape this harsh reality and it meets me back and slaps me in the face.

While I appreciate everyone’s appeal to express their IRL views in a video game. I really don’t see a point in this parade. Maybe the passionate individuals about this parade should take action IRL instead. It would have a significant more impactful effect that way!

The issue is that the event being held is supportive and a fun event for participants, vs your ooc arguments and decisions are fuelled by a hatred and in a non-constructive manner for the most part.

If you don’t support it that’s fine you can have your beliefs, just don’t participate, I don’t see you at most of the other events so what’s the difference?

The point of this specific video game is to escape the reality of the world, and immerse yourself in a more well versed and relaxed experience. I don’t see how taking concepts - which at the point are heavily debated and generally cause unrest in society - and integrating them into the “roleplay” world is applicable, or suits the scope of the server.

What is the point of doing this parade? Can anyone actually answer that?

  4. Unless the server is a dictatorship led by its administration, would it not be appropriate to hold a vote? Consequently, we will be able to see what the player base actually wants, and not what is assumed.

  5. Hello,

If this event was to occur, I believe that any IC prevention, interjection, or blockage of the parade should be met with IC consequences, e.g., law enforcement arresting anyone who attempts to inject into the parade maliciously. I do not see how it is fair that if someone wishes to ICly protest against this organisation, that they should be punished OOCly, based upon their views.

  6. Hi,

If someone who plays the server has a significant amount of disposable income at their service, they should purchase the server. Realistically, if we had active developers, our player count could be much, much higher. All this server needs is more frequent updates to continue growing its playability - which is achievable through development.

    Maybe @Paulius & @Osvaldon should consider.

    Many thanks

It is not entirely true that there have been no updates because I really loved the last criminal updates and more updates are underway like house robberies, advanced character customization, new clothes, interiors and vehicles (thanks to our modder team), drugs, etc.. There are also updates that are not usually noticed by regular players, such as, admin tools and anti-cheat measures.

I admit that it is a bit difficult to work in a team of only 2 developers, as there are so many different interests within the server. Even if we release an update, someone is unsatisfied as it is either a civilian/police/criminal update and not vice-versa. It is also difficult to integrate new developers in a project that is so old because training would take time, but the main issue is that our codebase is extremely large and very valuable to us and we can't entrust it to just anyone, not even with signed legal agreements. Another issue is, that the server is old and has many different scripts and each new feature needs to be made compatible with all the old ones so it makes updating certain aspects of the server more difficult (like clothes or drugs).

All the issues aside, we are still trying to maintain the project and release new features for our players. We are definitely not waiting for GTA 6 to get released as it is unclear when that will happen and even if it were to be released next year, it might take another year or two for multiplayer clients like RAGEMP to emerge, so it is really not worth the wait. The nearest updates players can expect are house robberies, new faction and civilian clothes, character customization rework and the character selection menu updates. Drugs have been put on hold, but I'd like to get back to it when the character customization updates are pushed.

with all respect, its been months since you said this and all you've done is add /fdo. Please let us know what is happening!

  8. I hate to say this but I am literally watching the server die before my eyes. I'm really unsure why the developers are letting this happen, and not releasing any content, it seems very counter productive to me.

To make this matter simpler, @Osvaldon, @ECLIPSE Developer, I have made a chart to showcase this server as a business

    image.thumb.png.0c03535ee0bd14676338c8db0b5cb2dc.png

As the chart demonstrates, with more updates being released, the player count will rise

Additionally, some transparency with what's going on would be nice

Of course, you don't have to listen to your community, we can just watch it die together

  9. Hello.

I am going to share my thoughts on OP's post, and while it is mildly untrue, he has illustrated some excellent points about the SADOC's staff. The change I am suggesting is easy to implement, and very realistic.

    Remove heavy weapons/weapons from DOC.*

As I am aware, COIII (Correctional Officer III) and above may carry a pistol in a cellblock, which is highly unrealistic. You may as well call it ruleplaying, as they know that gun can not be stolen. In real life, and realistically, guards do not carry firearms anywhere near prisoners, unless absolutely required. The only people authorised to deploy a firearm are their CERT teams, and these weapons can only be deployed under certain circumstances. However, in the ECRP DOC, every other officer carries a firearm.

Don't give me the bullshit about CERT only having heavy weapons (and it being heavily restricted), when every other John and his dad can easily join it. Look at this "CERT" operative here, happily firing away at a roleplaying suspect.

Let's talking statistics. There are 45 people in SADOC at the time of writing, 20 of these people are apart of CERT. This means nearly 50 PERCENT of DOC guards can take out a heavy weapon.

I even see some of them (high command) walking around with SNIPER RIFLES on their back. Such non-roleplay from a PRISON FACTION.

Remove their weapons, or at least put some decent IC rules in. A faction like the DOC should not be ruleplaying..

  10. Okay.

It's nice to see this thread got the response it deserved, it is even better that a developer shared their point of view on the situation. Thank you for that, @Osvaldon.

    Furthermore, the new #development post seems to have given us a timeframe for the updates;

Hopefully we can see this added soon. Thank you everyone for your replies

  11. How could you even -1 this? People have real lives, jobs, families. Understandably, some people do not have this, and, therefore, wish to enjoy their time sitting AFK in a roleplay cell. However, at least the vast majority of people playing this server have alternative events to do.

Personally I disagree with this. Lack of RP can be said for the whole server, it's your own fault if you just want to tab out and watch Netflix for the duration of your sentence.

Bro no one wants to sit inside a cell for 9 hours roleplaying. Its so stupid that it has been kept like this.

We all know DOC needs an update, but the devs have become lazy with all their money they make, and have let the server go. The least they could do is implement some sort of last update for DOC...

  12. I really enjoy playing on this server, but the severe lack of development or transparency from the senior staff team is really starting to kill it. The community within the server is constantly attempting to help improve it, with developers constantly ignoring the suggestions. I will attach two images below, one exhibiting the number of suggestions, and the other indicating the amount of implemented suggestions. There are over 20 thousand suggestions that have received no response from the developers. unknown.png.89ba05ebd9ff290e4a51af0c4c04dd57.pngunknown.png.0cd06e64783966cdddbb7492d72cfc44.png

There is a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes just progress is slow with 2 devs and they are trying to make sure that everything is perfect before they push it.

I'm not sure if 12 months per update is a reasonable time frame for this. "Slow progress" is a really unforgiving excuse when there are hundreds of players willing to wait for these updates.

In reality, there is no reason for updates to not be released. If you scroll through the discord, nearly everyone who is active is a donator, which demonstrates they have donated over 100 euros.

I will list some solutions below which I believe should be assessed by the developers as soon as possible:

    • Hire an extra developer. It is no secret that money is not an issue here. In fact, your 3rd developer recently left, maybe its time to replace him?
    • Provide more transparency with what you are working on.
    • Place more effort into this community and quit neglecting it. There are literally tens of thousands of suggestions within hundreds of threads.

(Also, this isn't something I'd like to see for DOC as having a group of inmates with shotguns inside of DOC without prison break rights would be absolutely Hell)

this should be implemented for DOC if implemented server wide. It would ensure DOC is more careful with what guns they are carrying into the cellblock, if any. IMO its unrealistic for these DOC guards to constantly have SMG's and Shotguns, as realistically they would just be taken by prisoners IRL; hence why IRL guards do not carry weaponry with them unless needed.
