  1. I would like to respond about a few things here:

    1) "Skill Issue": This is the absolutely most atrocious and troll answer I've ever seen on a thread, this one is no exception. I have done prison breaks, gotten a faction to official from scratch, still frequently break friends out of custody, and will always take a fight against PD/SD when I see a chance of winning. The issue is the risk versus reward, and in almost all scenarios; the reward is not anywhere near the risk.

    2) "File an IA report": I've filed an OOC IA report on a detective who openly metagamed and caught a DM punishment for opening fire on me with zero rights. I filed this IA report on June 9th/June10th-ish, and was never reached out to regarding the outcome. After I reached out on the 22nd regarding it; they said it was being looked into. I still have not gotten a response or definitive answer as to what happened with that since then.
I also reached out to leadership of PD regarding the use of the blue barriers to block roads as they give a massively unfair advantage due to desync; appearing extremely late and not breaking immediately at high speeds and will always flip and total your car. I was never reached out to again to see if this was ever even looked into.

    3) Yes, DOC is in dire need of change and that would help smooth a lot over, but when you are caged for five hours in the same cells that are used for Admin Jail, you cannot convince me it's not an OOC punishment for being a criminal; but that's a totally different thread topic.

    4) We need change, there's a massive rift between the playerbase that should at least be looked at. I don't mind starting small with changes, such as lowering jailtime again or the time of certain charges, or even just giving us more capable ways to counter play with PD/SD such as giving us more access to items such as carbines, spike strips, or maybe a turf increase for turning in badges of killed officers. I don't care what we get, we just need to start getting something.

  2. Actually guys, Bala is right. Let's all stop being criminals and whenever PD is bored of giving old lady's speeding tickets, we can make gangs again after they all quit and work for Weazel or DCC.

  3. PD/SD have always been the only gangs in the server allowed to get access to circumvent rules without altRP.

    +1.

I filed a /report 1 once too see if I could NLR detectives working on a file they supposedly had on me, and I was told that detectives are allowed to work on files even after a death involving the file; meaning they can circumvent NLR.
They can circumvent backup breach by reaching to an allied faction for help when either a few of them are on duty or if they just feel like it, but criminal orgs cannot "battle bus" because it ruins the server's fighting RP, so we're okay with newer or smaller orgs getting totally squashed by mass 40 man orgs but we're not okay letting them reach out... But we totally are okay with the two most powerful orgs in the entire server backing each other.
Let's not forget the blue barriers that block entire roads just so PD can catch an easy W instead of using spike strips or actually having to aim at tires.
Millions of dollars worth of vehicles, armor, and guns for a single person who was seen with nothing but a crowbar on a Bati801? Sounds fair and balanced to me!
I want to say this won't turn into another Crim vs. Cop thread, but if every single one of these threads do, maybe there is a point to it.

The Crim vs. Cop mentality is only furthered by locking crims in a place with zero to do, with next to zero chance of winning against them. You can't expect us not to hate something that is as absolutely meta-slaving as joining PD or SD. It's boring to fight against, it's boring to run away from, and there's no reward for either other than a small percent chance you don't get locked into a small box for five to eight hours.

  4. I want to start this thread off by saying I really do not want this to turn into a "Crims vs Cops" thread, because I want there to be checks and balances to my suggestions and I'm open to all criticism this post gets.

I strongly dislike Faction Loadouts being locked for LEOs, as do many people who are in the community. It's very difficult to not only explain ICly (I often have heard people refer to the reasons you cannot claim weapons from dead LEOs as "fingerprint locks" or "biometric locks") and it doesn't make any sense ICly, especially with us wanting to lean more towards a realistic standard. I have very frequently heard the reason as to why this cannot happen is that people used to "hunt" police down for their weapons, especially in the circumstances they have a very sought after weapon such as a Heavy Sniper or anything that exists in slim quantities.

I really dislike this being one of the majorly argued points, as anyone with a clapper mentality is normally dealt with by the rules as it is. I think that we could very, very easily implement a subset of rules that could further prevent LEO's from experiencing being "hunted" (such as making it NRP to rob a police officer for their weapons in public, as that is extremely unrealistic and the risk would not be worth it in this case) and there could even be extreme IC punishments for people in possession of LEO firearms. A new law could be added to the current set of laws that would be a more extreme Possession of an Illegal Firearm and on top of that; maybe even consider giving LEO's the right to raid that individual's properties upon being caught with LEO weaponry/armor.

I don't necessarily want a reason to fight PD or SD, I just think that in the current state of ECRP; a change like this could really help benefit the environment and give more reason for those very dangerous situations where holding an officer hostage may be the only option, or searching an injured officer who was in a pursuit on a shinobi unit from a crash, and anything else that could potentially play out. This would make RP much more rewarding on both sides, and LEO's still have nothing to lose in these scenarios.

I don't want cops being hunted, I just want things to make more sense. If I steal a cruiser in real life (which obviously would be a terrible idea), there would very plainly be the weapons whatever officer left them there. If I killed an officer in real life (an even worse idea), then there would be his weapons and things I would have access to.

(Also, this isn't something I'd like to see for DOC as having a group of inmates with shotguns inside of DOC without prison break rights would be absolutely Hell)

Thoughts? Please give me a reason with any +1s and -1s, I genuinely want feedback and to see everyone's reasoning. Please don't become a Crim vs Cop thread ❤️

Melody had done a bit of redecorating for the bakery with the idea of making it "All-Purpose" for the organization.
As the members stepped in, they noticed virtually no difference for anything there...

    Fo1Go03.png

At least until she asked for some of the members to help her move the refrigerator in the back of the bakery. It was a large piece of equipment, serving it's purpose in more ways than one... It revealed a small doorway behind it.

    2wswSHR.png

The spot behind the doorway was unpolished with a small table, wood panel floors and an unpainted wall... At the end of the room on that table were pure, Russian vodka bottles with different dollar bills inside of each, with rags ready to be stuffed into the opened bottles. Melody smiled back at the group.
"Corruption should be cleansed with fire... And we'll let them figure out the rest of the metaphor with the money inside of the bottles."

The Underground heard the news from Weazel that Commissioner Lewis Langley had spent an estimated thirty million dollars on a helicopter, and some sources even quoted that it may have been three hundred million, which helped fund his latest adventure to Cayo Perico.

The group had noticed in the past that many issues tended to arise around this particular Commissioner and as such; they gathered at City Hall for a "sit-in" protest at the doors. They were unwilling to move after quite some time, and the news grew quickly as many gathered around to see the outcome. Some were there to appreciate the movement at hand for The Underground, some were there to belittle them. The group requested for the Commissioner to step down and for the public to have access to all spending records.

The city of Los Santos had building under construction for years...
Underpaid workers working freelance for barely a living wage such as Incident Management or Burgershot...
    Things needed to change.

Lewis Langley, coincidentally enough; was not able to attend the rally against him...
And The Underground was forcefully moved from the premises, promising that if they were moved; the next protest would not be peaceful.

I have a single character I play who is a career criminal, if I were sentenced to perma-prison; I would likely stop playing that character and my faction would be disbanded.

    DOC is an OOC punishment.

Prison break permissions are very rarely granted and would be the only reason I would log on, so that I could play with my friends... Which is the entire point of ECRP. I would not mind something along the lines of a death penalty that is SOLELY to NLR a character and allow them to respawn at pillbox, however.

  8. Met one of you today I believe. The server needs more groups like this to really bring out the wild side of RP that isn’t explored much.
I can’t wait to interact with your faction more, and I hope everything goes well for you!!

The Underground had been declined their business license for the bakery they wished to open, but that was no reason to quit.

They gathered together the numbers they had, buying out sandwiches, coffee cups, and chocolate bars from random stores to simply give away at the bakery. They allowed anyone who came by to grab whatever they wanted and to explore inside of the bakery while they played music blasting from atop the roof and their bike's engines purring on the sidewalk. The group laughed with friends and foes alike, just enjoying the company of others swinging by and showing their support for giving away to the community.

It was different for the organization to take a day with no hostility, but it was a good change to have. The small "party" was a great success and got the word spread around about the bakery and when it may open, and all of the food and drink they had bought was gone within the hour.

Of course, the group couldn't let the day slip by without yelling "All Cops Are Bad" to a few cars that drove by...

  10. +1, but a slight edit I'd like to make. We don't necessarily need the charges halved, we need the amount of time in the cap lowered. Five to eight hours is still WAY too long and I don't believe our cap should be over two hours, and an hour and a half for when we can pay the fines associated with it. The point of an RP server is to have fun; and criminals already take severe losses ICly when arrested a lot of the time.

DOC is an OOC punishment in my opinion with the absolute lack of anything to do and if you don't have friends in there with you, you will 100% of the time sit in a cell with netflix pulled up or just log out for the night.

Me and my friends literally just play UNO sometimes.

Uno is always fun at DOC 🙂

So, +1 but instead of changing the times we get for charges, change the cap of the charges again.

Maybe you and Tonys characters are not up north enough because I dont think you both realise how often police get called for no reason. No shots fired, nobody robbed, and all of a sudden police raid because somebody came into the lab and left to then call 911.

I had my fair share of running labs early on in my organizations lifespan. Nothing has really changed much, beyond the latest drug update. People still constantly rob and attack everyone at the drop of a dime “up north” and there’s little fun to be had, so I avoid it. It’s never been a fun or enjoyable experience for me, however leaving because you see an opposing organization in there or a group well known for robbing people and calling the police would be frustrating ICly, I think it would be fun OOCly. You’d have to develop new tactics based around holding that lab, such as hiding everyone and their vehicles and only coming out if absolutely necessary. I’d prefer adaption over extending it and limiting “known” criminals from potential RP for their characters

Wouldn't this simply fall under being a snitch or IC issues? At the end of the day you are conducting illegal activities, regardless if someone called it in or not. Get better at tactics or make sure the area is clear before committing any crimes and you wont get caught! Like FatherOsborn mentioned, anyone breaching the NRP factor got punished for it.

    -1

-1 for exactly what Tony said.

    IC actions have IC consequences.

  13. +1.

The community needs more events and this one is all inclusive. There’s quite literally zero downside to this.

The community would get an event and more people would feel appreciated both IC and OOC.

  14. As much as I do believe we should have some form of reward in the situation of fighting and winning against PD/SD/DOC, I think being able to access their guns would be abused by some people. It would make a lot of people go out of their way to specifically target them like they already do opposing gangs and would just result in a lot of negativity and poor taste on an OOC level for most people.

Also regarding prison breaks, while doing prison escapes and such, you are still allowed to RP attempting to take a gun and if you do manage to take it; they will always treat it as a normal hostage situation and RP that you do have a gun.

The Underground grew tired of the antics of the Los Santos Police Department.
It was time for a change, or to at least make a stand for one.

The Underground banded together and unanimously agreed to send forth their message in a vote... Everyone said yes.

The recording was simple, the editing was as well. They handed off a small microSD card to
Jay Bacon while they smiled, knowing that the consequences could be dire; but it was a risk they had to take.

    It was our time.

The Underground sighed as they were the last group left in the southern half of Los Santos.
But soon, smiles arose on their faces as from the ashes grew an odyssey of phoenixes. 4TK, Ballas, the Mali Boys, and the Cupids all rose up within the span of a week. Quickly getting organized meetings with the groups, The Underground felt the tides of change pushing within their favor. The hood was alive again.

    59bCvya.pngfsPNgiU.png

The Underground decided to attempt to hit a bank with The Cupids after their first official meeting. The groups couldn't successfully complete a single one without police showing up and ruining each attempt back to back, leading to roughly an hour of chases. The group had managed to escape... All but the leader of The Cupids. The Underground nodded and set up a trap unlike any other they had tried. They placed gas cans at the entrance of a apartment complex, with only one way in and out. They fired at the gas cans to ignite a fire after their ally drove passed to keep the law away...

After fleeing from the trap, Melody was eventually caught along with two of The Cupids' members. Another Underground member tagged along for the ride to DOC, all smiling and chuckling at how fun the trap was.

"Arson of a government employee" they were told as they had almost ten cruisers escort them into DOC again.

As the nights grew heavy and the skies rained down droplets in the shape of bullets on The Underground, they continued to remain patient and vigilant of the changes to come. The disbandment of the Bridge Street Brotherhood and swiftly followed by the Black Disciples, the city seemed as if it was targeting the hood. The Underground watched the rain trickle down through the holes on their bridge above them as it kept them dry...

Sadness is one of the most powerful emotions anyone could ever have. The Underground would wake to this news quickly, saluting their neighbors and allies with silence. As loud as pink was, it was time for a moment of peace.

They all bowed their heads and paid respects to the organizations they had spent so much time with in the past.

The Underground was the last group surviving in the hood...

    Pt. 1

The Underground had a meeting within their command... A risk needed to be taken to gain the upper hand on enemy organizations. Infiltration was to be done.
They nodded to each other and all agreed that it had to be done.

They successfully acquired radio frequencies of an opposing organization that looked down upon the Anarchist group. The mission was a success and the informant would hold their high ranking position within the opposing organization with no issue and they were completely unaware of the power The Underground had managed to swindle with their newly found "Rat".

Who knows where this could take them? The plans would evolve with time.
While their rat masks were put down in exchange for their black clothing and sinister mindsets, they would begin to push back against those who wish to suppress them.

    The Underground exchanged it's power.

Naomi Mizuno and Melody Frey discussed in detail that they wished Melody to take the reigns of The Underground. Under her newly found leadership, the faction decided to take things into a more serious and sinister direction. The Underground would stand stalwart on it's ideology regarding it's Anarchist ways, but they decided that there would be no more playing about as common, petty thieves and drug runners.

The group placed their rat masks at the HQ along with the articles of white clothing they had, swapping to black and pink along side their new masks.
They would fight the government wherever possible now. Blocking the "wage slaves" at tollbooths, spray painting cars when applicable, and even as far as pouring gasoline on cruisers and igniting them for the sheer thrill of the explosion. The group got together for their first act, quickly getting a response from detectives.

The group of Anarchists bought multiple unregistered vehicles from the city scrapyard and parked them, blocking off the tollbooths from all law enforcement attempting to pass. They tried to explain that whoever did it must have wanted change in the city, to stop oppression wherever they could...
But the agents and officers on scene were already sick of it.

    HfynlPC.png

The members of The Underground sat against the sides of the bridge simply chuckling as the government workers struggled to unlock the cars. It was a small protest in a long line of firing back in ways that the city has yet to experience.

Welcome to a new Underground. We will stand tall, and we will stand against the machine.

  20. As criminals, one of the hardest things to do (especially as an organization starting off) Is to arm yourself and your group. We currently only have two options:

A firearms license, or to ask a group with Official Status to get them imported for you.

While you can buy them on the street, these are the two ways guns enter the circulation as a whole. Something I would love to see is criminals getting the ability to rob gun stores for the handguns currently available for purchase legally. I would like to see a time lock similar to banks, and maybe a limit to how many guns you can take per store (perhaps ten would be a good number?) and it would open more routes for RP with LEOs and Crims as well for engagement.

I’d also like to see the charges for stolen firearm be higher than a standard illegal firearm as they currently are the other way around and this would add to the risk as well. The only concern I see here is that it would take away from the business of Official Factions as .50s are a major import to sell consistently, but I would like to see smaller, unofficial factions to be self sustaining without the reliance on another faction.

Sorry if this has been suggested before, after doing a small amount of research I couldn’t find anything like this suggestion and wanted to make it!

    Thoughts?

The Underground's fight night was a unique event and was a welcome one for the organizations surrounding them.

They invited all of their neighboring organizations that they were friendly with, equaling a little over thirty people arriving. The winner was promised a sawed-off shotgun, but due to unfortunate circumstances; they were offered a Combat PDW instead. The fights were long, well fought, and fun overall for all parties. A little minor trash talk here and there, but in the end there was only one winner.

The final match saw a member from each primary faction that arrived.

    A fighter from
    The Black Disciples.
A fighter from The Bridge Street Brotherhood.
And a fighter from The Underground.

    Ultimately a fighter from
The Black Disciples won the grand prize in a triple threat match for the ages!

    SekQu2N.png

And after the event and all of it's fun ended, they sat quiet in a meeting... Change was coming in a storm. It was time to step back from the light hearted shenanigan crew they were.

It was time for them to rise into something better than themselves. It was time for them to become a new Underground.
