Frank Patterson / Jake Connolly - Part 3

Part 1:

Part 2:

Chapter 1 | Post-war

After months of fighting, the war would come to an end. Unsurprisingly, as the allied forces were severely outnumbers, the council emerged victorious. Demands were given to the defeated West Coast Assassins to leave Grove Street forever, pay a tax of 900 drugs a month ((a week)) and hand over an extortionate amount of cash in one payment. Unfortunately, WCA could not afford to meet these demands, and had no option but to disband. The council also had demands for the Dojin-Kai, which were to pay $1,500,000 and a tax of 300 drugs every two weeks. At the sacrifice of Bradley Castle, Shategashira of the Dojin-Kai, the money was paid quickly, and a drug operation was built in The Dojin-Kai's Paleto Bay property. It was not long before The Dojin-Kai began recruiting some ex-WCA members, the most notable of which being Michael Laurie, who was given the position of Honbucho. This was not well received by some members of the family, although Mike served his role well and led his soldiers confidently. Things were looking up for the Dojin-Kai.

Chapter 2 | An old friend

Time had passed, The Dojin-Kai were producing enough drugs to pay the taxes and raise money for Koi, a Japanese restaurant situated in Vespucci. Whilst loyal to his current family, Frank would never stop wondering what happened to his former brothers and sisters in The Rooks. Where have they gone? What are they doing? These questions were constantly bouncing around in his mind. He knew about Jimmy Irish and Frankie Valalero setting up The Worker's Union; a legal business providing benefits to the workers of Los Santos. He knew about Jerzy McEden and Harley Pavlovich creating The Void. The biggest question, however, was what happened to Dmitri Leroy? Frank had not seen D in a long time, he had asked multiple people if they knew his fate, although he was often met with "D is dead" or "stop asking questions". Frank had even been approached by Tyler Rogers, who shared his desire to find out what had happened to Dmitri. More time passed, The Dojin-Kai was prospering and external affairs were looking promising. It was a regular day and Frank was at the Los Santos Bank collecting his salary when a masked man on a Hakachou Drag approached and whispered "get on". Frank had no gun on him so he didn't fear getting robbed, although something told him this man was a friend. He sat on the back of the bike and was taken to an empty compound behind the Vinewood Sign. The mysterious man began speaking to Frank, clutching an Assault Rifle, and it was not long before he removed his headwrap and revealed his face for a few seconds; it was... [Redacted]. The man showed him his license, admitting that only one person had seen it prior (that person being a SWAT member). The two conversated for a while. Frank updated him on everything that had happened in his life post-Rooks, and how he was approached to join the Dojin-Kai. [Redacted] expressed how he felt about Frank being with another family, but was glad to see him happy. It was agreed that a 'business alliance' would be struck between their organisations, where the Dojin-Kai would be supplied with heavy weaponry for less than street price. The bulk of the conversation will remain confidential.

Frank would continue to meet regularly with the man in the following months, against the demand of his High Command, discussing the current climate of the city. Frank would keep the man updated on the internal and diplomatic affairs of the Dojin-Kai. There was even a period where Frank's phone was enabled to occasionally see details of compromised shipments ordered by other gangs

Chapter 3 | War... again

The Dojin-Kai were at a drug lab collecting weed plants, as they often did, when all of a sudden they were hit by Aztecas, resulting in a gunfight. This came as a shock, especially considering the family was collecting plants for the tax; this put the Dojin-Kai back into war with the council. The Dojin-Kai would come to ally with Narcos, a crew that now consisted of old Narcos members, Void members and anyone with hatred for the council. The allied forces would wear the colour red, often with a clown mask, and the warfare was different this time; it was characterised by ambushes, HQ raids and skirmishes. Continuous attempts to reach out to Jay Gamble and Bruce Wong proved unsuccessful, it seemed like their gangs only wanted to fight rather than solve matters diplomatically. The conflict lasted for a while, although the council did eventually agree to talk.

Discussions were had with the council, they did not see themselves at fault for the prior conflict, and insisted this was another 'mistake' of the Dojin-Kai in their books. They claimed that the previous tax did not exempt the Dojin-Kai from getting hit, and that the organisation was not paying for neutrality, they were paying as a 'punishment'. New terms were brought forward: they demanded $1,500,000 again, 600 drugs every two months ((weeks)) and withdrawal from Paleto Bay or the handing over of Koi. The Dojin-Kai was given 24 hours to either accept the terms  or come up with a counter-offer. Soon enough, higherups had agreed to counter with the following terms: $300,000 a month for 10 months ((weeks)), withdrawal from Paleto Bay and the 600 drugs every two months. The council surprisingly agreed to this, adding the following terms: laptop items were only to be purchased from them, and no contact was to be maintained with Ash's Crew or Dmitri, who they suspected of still being around. James Sakamoto's relationship with Dmitri Leroy was brought into question, although he made sure to emphasise that no relationship outside of the gun deals ever existed between Dmitri and the Dojin-Kai. It was made clear that Dmitri is not around anymore.

Chapter 4 | A brighter future?

The Dojin-Kai was easily reaching their goal of 600 drugs and were enjoying their 10 months of neutrality. Additionally, they were starting to build positive relations with the council, and were commended regularly on their progress by them. The only problem that ever presented itself to the Dojin-Kai was that Narcos were now labelling them as traitors... this was not an issue. The Dojin-Kai were mainly building relations with Triads, which was boosted by their liking for Stephen Laurie. The family would often provide backup to the council, one time assisting with a large-scale shootout with SWAT at Murda Block HQ. The organisations were meeting every month to hand over the taxes and discuss progress; everyone was happy. The Dojin-Kai also began developing their aligment with Murda Block, a new gang led by Lance Slash comprising of mainly ex-WCA members. Murda Block were also attempting to establish neutrality with the council, although this would prove difficult due to the fact that the gang was largely reminiscent of the West Coast Assassins. Murda Block were frequently invited to Koi for training and social gatherings, as were the council; oddly enough, Lex Roth was also invited to take part in martials arts in Koi.

The Dojin-Kai were even beginning to fight, intimidate and collect taxes from smallers gangs such as Whyos, The Reapers and the Brotherhood, which gave them more than enough cash a month to pay the tax to the council. All was going perfect for the family, and Frank had even been promoted to Honbucho. Recruitment was increasing, and the Dojin-Kai were slowly becoming a large and impactful force in Los Santos

Criminals had discovered a new way to make cash and shoot upon the LSPD: robbing bank! The Dojin-Kai would perform multiple bank robberies, the majority of them being successful, resulting in a hefty payout for the family. This also helped improve relations with the council, as it proved the competence of the Dojin-Kai.

Despite the continued success of the Dojin-Kai, is was becoming apparent that they could not rely on their High Command, as they were rarely in town, and when they were, bad decisions were made. For this reason, higherups such as Renzo, Stephen and Frank took matters into their own hands to call meetings and conduct diplomacy.

Chapter 5 | Downfall of the Dojin-Kai

War time again *sighs*. To the surprise of quite literally everyone, Los Zetas suddenly decided to disband. Calls were instantly made to Triads and Aztecas to make sure that their relationships with the Dojin-Kai stayed as they were. Bruce Wong gave word to Stephen that they would remain neutral, although they would begin 'pressuring' Murda Block. The Dojin-Kai and Murda Block met to discuss their relationship, and Frank had set up a meeting with Alicia Rodriguez to ensure continued neutrality. All this was happening because ex-Zetas had decided to begin a rampage, hunting Dojin-Kai and Murda Block throughout Los Santos; this was expected to only last a few days until they got bored. Triads hit Murda Block at Koi, much to the Disdain of James and Jake Sakamoto, who both decided to send the Dojin-Kai into a third and final war before even meeting with Aztecas... against the suggestion of Stephen and Frank. This so-called resistance against the council saw the allied forces wearing green once again, and the inclusion of multiple smaller gangs.

The fighting went on for about a month before a decision was made by multiple higherups... a decision to leave the Dojin-Kai. High Command were rarely present during the conflict, so it was up to Stephen to call a meeting. Frank, Stephen, Dara and Isaac stepped forward to announce their intention to quit to Dojin-Kai. They expressed how they felt that their High Command had abandoned them after forcing them into an avoidable war; this was the end for the Dojin-Kai. The four of them immediately went to change out of colours and said goodbye to their family.

Chapter 6 | The Daichead Gadai

The four of them changed the colours of their cars (all to orange for some reason) and travelled to Triads HQ, where they spoke to Bruce Wong and informed him of their decision to leave the Dojin-Kai; they were met with support. They later went and spoke to Collie Fegan about starting a new Irish gang, as Collie had once been a part of the Irish Mob, and it had been his intention for a while to make a new version. Bruce Wong was also present at the meeting, and after about an hour of debate, they settled on a name: The Daichead Gadai. All who joined the Gadai were to have an Irish name and be of white ethnic origin; furthermore, Frank changed his name to Jake Connolly and once again got plastic surgery, reverting back to how he first looked. Ever since, the Gadai have been prospering, developing a powerful alignment and friendship with the Triads, and slowly recruiting more members.
