Then you get full ownership? Yes, basically like a mortgage, or renting the property but eventually owning it. A price and time are set by the owner. A contract is made, then if the buyer doesn't respect the time, he will lose his money or a fee will be placed on him. Edited May 30, 2020 by MEZzZO

A contract would contain names by taking pictures of the ID, banking information such as account numbers and bank statements. When the scam does take place by the owner or even the buyer, I do believe the police has the ability to investigate the authenticity of the incident and paper, then the owner would get jailed after appearing in-front of a judge, then the money would get refunded. Especially when the bank statement and account numbers are available. Lets hope it goes this way. Or else i'll have to use cash instead. 1
