I have the play button when I log in but I don't want to play before I know for sure. Someone told me if I got the play button I got accepted, Any confirmation. I want to do everything by the books.

The email system is bugged, I suggest trying to hit play every now and then to see whether you're in or not. If it hasn't been reviewed, it will just tell you that it's pending review.
