im a bit confused here.
first the server gets rid of private labs, because of people sitting inside their houses. which has a fair point.
but now we can make our own burgers inside our house so we don't have to go to burgershot anymore which is one of the most interactive RP's in the game where a lot of people come together.
I'm not hating on it, but I do really wonder what is the point of this ??? anyone has thoughts on this ?

I personally disagree. I think most people will continue to use the convenience of BurgerShot as a quick way to eat, and a place to socialize, but I believe it opens up way more rp opportunities. Like cooking dinner at home with friends or a significant other and actually being able to make something and not rp it all. Also the fact that they're adding more recipes in means instead of eating a burger at Clappers you can actually have a representation of what you're eating rather than everything being meat and looking the same. I'm sure some people will take the opportunity to cook their own food, but I personally don't see the difference than anyone buying a bunch of burgers and stashing them in a fridge in their home, or going hunting for meat to cook.

Hopefully they will implement the choice to not cook eggs but actually allow us to drink them Raw Eggs  (some stats like +endurance and +shortened recovery time) and also include a recipe called "Ice Soup" available for free if you have water bottles

on a serious note, i have to say that this is not the same as private labs where cooking food doesnt make insta money if you drop it off to a dealer while cooking drugs does. But having the ability to cook food at home (i havent checked but hope for a lot cheaper) then yeah im all for it, if i can store it and not use grocery stores overpriced and processed GMO foods (yuckies)

The way I see it:

People sat in their private labs to grind grind grind to sell the drugs to an npc for cash.

Now let’s compare that to doing the same for burgers, you grind and grind to make burgers, to what? Not sell to an npc but to sell to other players, creating more interaction, use as part of a business. 
 

Let’s say for example if private labs came back but they only produced a version of the drug that could be sold to other people to use, and never to be sold to NPCs, that’d be more justifiable reason to sit inside doing fuck all rp because the end result is some actual interaction and roleplay.

 

now, will there be one or two people with extremely well placed vending machines that will be able to use this new system to make bank, sure. But let’s not compare apples to oranges, private labs were a plague on the community in their height where everyone was shut in.

Yeah, its that i thought the server was heading more for a “maximum rp interaction playfield” that why the private food made no sense to me, its clear in last last 2 years the server wants people to be outside and interacting at ANY cost

I mean, if you could sell burgers to other players it would make sense, but then it would also make sense to have private labs but sell drugs to players, and you can see this is not the case at all, they make their own drugs, and so  why buy burgers when you can make them yourself right ?

I think this update has potential but it wil come with a great cost, and i think burgershot wil die rather soon, 

i dont see as of now much good in it YET, because i think it wil disconnect people compare to when people bounce into eachother at burgershot, thus creating Rp oppertunity,

There is a huge difference between privately cooking in houses for hours to grind for profit with zero interaction or risk, and simply being able to cook food items in houses. 

The ability to cook food items or meals in houses, or even in custom properties, opens up numerous roleplay opportunities. As mentioned above, players can invite others into their homes, making them more functional and social, while also enabling the creation of businesses such as restaurants.

At the same time, I don't see how this will affect Burgershot as it's the same way people go there instead of stores as it's quick and easy to grab something to eat/drink.

I don't believe this thread is needed. Once the update fully releases, feel free to make suggestions on its functionality and not on that of scripts that have been removed.
