Celestial Posted June 14, 2024 Report Posted June 14, 2024 (edited) The /chatConfig command should open a pop-up configuration window because it seems pretty frustrating to use, at least that's my personal experience; it doesn't tell you which options there are available unless you type in random stuff to make it show options, and a configuration menu is more convient. It could also be a clickable-gear sort of thing at the top right when opening the chat with 't' since the mouse automatically triggers and different chat options show anyway which is a nice QoL. A configuration window (similar to the spraycan's maybe?) would include the available options on drop-down elements and sliders (or input field) for the parameters that require numbers like scaling or number of lines with the ability to apply or cancel and perhaps update the style on-the-go as it changes for realtime preview. This would allow us to also see the current options because there is also no way to view our current set options for each parameter to at least share our customizations with other players. Other Misc. Additions: Allow cycling through tabs using CTRL+(1-7) as well. Nothing is really triggered whatsoever while the chat is open. Cycling with a shortcut is /much/ better than using the mouse. It also gives a browser-alike experience for cycling through tabs! Weazel News chat-related messages should also appear in RP Focus in my opinion because it's part of the in-character environment. Edited August 5, 2024 by Celestial 1 Quote
quixotic Posted June 14, 2024 Report Posted June 14, 2024 +1 The command itself is pretty tedious to use, since you have to repeatedly enter the command and preview it nearly 10-20 times to acquire your desired configuration changes. Quote
