Varakai
So this suggestion is going to be similar to how having a GPS in a faction vehicle. While the GPS is in the faction scripted vehicle, other on duty faction members can see where the faction vehicle is. Having a transponder as an item, would give information much like a GPS item (Showing the GPS on the HUD) but also transmits the aircraft location to other airborne aircraft. Such information could be things like the Tail Number / Callsign, the altitude in small print next to the blip, as well as blip color, representing the different faction: Blue - LSPD Red - LSEMS Green - LSDOC Tan - LSSD Pink - Weazel News Pale Blue - SASG White - Private / Non-Government Business aircraft If SAAA were to be manning the Air Traffic Control tower, they could also have somewhere they can see the aircraft blips and advise them on their flights and altitudes. Advising them if they are coming too close to restricted airspaces or if there are any nearby emergency aircraft. The other thing with these items is that they are "locked" into place, much like car speakers are in faction vehicles. Once criminals start to use aircraft more to their advantage they would have to use a screwdriver to remove the transponder so they could fly off the radar. To quote a line from the movie Con Air: Francisco Cindino: [in the cockpit of the plane] Don't they have a way of tracking these planes? Swamp Thing: Oh, yeah. It's called a transponder. Every plane's got one, Cindino. Nathan 'Diamond Dog' Jones: [sarcastic] Swamp, where is the transponder? Cyrus Grissom: [looks at the empty bay] Ah! Where, indeed? The second part of this is to add an additional UI to add to ones when you get inside any vehicle. You see the Vehicles Health, Fuel (Percentage) and Speed (which in aircraft is Airspeed or climb/decent speed). Since there are now many private aircraft starting to slowly enter the skies. We have been told by the SAAA to fly at 2,000ft. We can see this if we look at the internal gauge on the helicopters, however it is much easier to fly in 3rd person. The other argument is that you can see the altitude lines on the GPS when flying. This is also true, but these lines refer to the height above terrain, not height above Mean Sea Level.
