Kjaer
This is a story I wrote awhile ago but never actually posted due the faction it was being written for disbanding. I found it and figured "Why let it go to waste". A Day In the Life It was a beautiful sunny day in Los Santos when Barker unexpectedly spotted the chop of the day, a Neon; however he needed to act fast as the car in question was outside of a Ponsonbys in Rockford Hills and the owner was likely to return quickly. Knowing this Barker parked his Vortex close by in an alley, something he doesn’t usually do, and goes to make his move on the car. Unfortunately for Barker the individuals driving the Neon suddenly walked out of the store and interrupted his work, yelling after him as he fled “HEY WHOA, HEY”. The BSB car thief makes his way to the same alley that he’s parked his bike and gets on when he suddenly hatches a plan, “buddy seemed pretty peeved, I bet he’s going to chase right after me and into the alley” he thought to himself. Deciding this, Barker instead of fleeing, hops off his motorcycle and retrieves his trusty .50 and allows himself to be barely seen trying to feign fear. Loe and behold his target pulls into the alley aggressively and instantly regrets it, “wow, of course” the man says as Barker points his gun and demands that he steps out. Barker quickly moves them out of the vehicle and ensures that he checks their waistband for weapons, satisfied with what he sees Barker tells them to unlock the car and walk back to the street hoping that they haven’t yet seen his Vortex and will leave the scene altogether. Once the unhappy couple are far enough away for Barker to feel comfortable getting into the car he makes his escape and heads towards a known contact in the area that will love to get his hands on this car. Barker pulled into the chop and after first sharing a laugh with the mechanic over the situation and the ironic custom plate affixed to the vehicle he tells Matthias to get this done quick, there’s sure to be heat if the chop sits around all day; sure enough Matthias works faster than he’s ever have and gets Barker on his way with his hard earned cash. Before leaving, Barker quickly changes clothes and makes his way to some ATM’s to deposit the cash, and then moves cautiously back to the scene of the crime to see if his victims have involved the police or if he’s in the clear to go about his day. Unfortunately, as he turns the corner and walks past the alley he sees the all too familiar image of police vehicles cordoning off an active scene. Knowing he is going to be investigated, Barker decides to face the issue head on, he goes and stashes his keys, makes a 911 call from a church saying his Vortex was stolen and heads back to the scene after waiting for a few more minutes. Barker walks up “Anyone seen a black Vortex?!” he would yell out to the tow truck and PD on scene, he is immediately flagged by his victims “That’s the guy! That’s him! Imagine coming back!”. As expected he is detained for further investigation and complies fully knowing that there’s no physical evidence to tie him to the crime scene and with the steps taken beforehand has introduced enough plausible doubt to be released. The mood of the reporting couple went from elevated and ecstatic to low and disappointed as the cops went through their evidence, cordoned off the area to do a search and questioned Barker extensively all to come up empty handed. “Sorry to waste your time like this guys and sorry for the misunderstanding, I’ll keep better track of my vehicles” he said to the cops as they uncuffed him. His story held up with no holes and he was free. Barker finally hopped on his bike and drove away, scott free. He picked up his stashed briefcase which held his gun and clothing used in the robbery and went back to Bridge Street to lay low and plot the next steps… Snitches don’t get mercy, and Barker will get his revenge no matter what… Edited February 10, 2023 by Kjaer
