Antonio_Colombo Posted November 9, 2022 Report Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) Allright the idea is simple - make a user usable billboards to the furniture shops. There could be couple of sizes ( like with walls ) and couple of types (gloving text and regular text) The main idea is, that once purchased, user can enter text of the billboard with some small styling onto it, then use it for his property to better advertise it. Text can be written on it once, after that is unclearable so no-one will be able to use one for all the text changes. Prior placing it, admins could approve/disapprove it if that contains any MG/NRP elements to it, so it would be guaranteed to be IC. Reason for me offering this suggestion is that currently it is so sloppy to make billboard - you need to buy wall and shitload of neon line lamps, to make text. It is unnecessary furniture slot and money waste. The said billboard could be priced higher, 10k for example, so it wouldn't impact economy much, but instead it would improve qoL and can be used to deepen the stall RP. Ash Posted November 9, 2022 Report Posted November 9, 2022 Honestly, the fdos for advertising are bad enough right now and require a lot of moderation. I feel like this is a solution to a problem nobody really has. If this gets implemented every property would have a giant billboard on. Furniture like a small poster or for sale sign that has a more permanent fdo text on would be nice in-between that you can place on your property would be cool. Quote

Allright a valid point, other option is to assign ID to each placed billboard that links to the character who placed it. If players report it as inappropriate, admin takes a look if needed and decides if warn player who set it or no. Players will themselves do the "hard" job of checking them, hence saving valuable admin time for more intense RP situations, rulebrakers, or whatever they are doing usually. Would that make it more appropriate approach? Also, what's wrong with lots of banners, it's players choice after all if they want elegant design of their property or messy one, be it with or without billboards? Quote
