  1. I'm back wanted to check how the post is doing. Glad you answered @Avemir The fact that you even went past the door in real life you would have been long dead. I only ignored you because I was stunned by how stupid of a decision you took and acted like you had all the situation under control. Cya...hf on the server...please keep providing quality RP like this for everyone to enjoy. You are the God on this server and don't let anyone else tell you otherwise. If a bank is robbed by 30 people...you run them down with your smg and vest ok ? Yikes.
  2. @Kazjii It's not " If I feel the deputy has done something wrong" I know he did.. and every person with the slightest amount of common sense should see that. I'm not reporting him for the reasons I stated above your message and you +1 adding to my reason... Anyways I'm out , too many bad RP scenarios provided in just 2 weeks time...
  3. Reporting won't do anything because reports are handled by people like you. 2 moderators and 1 Senior support gave almost the same answer. Nothing will change no matter what. It's mostly just me ranting before I leave.... I'm just disappointed because I had much higher expectations for this server.
  4. @DrPathetic " out-equipped you." ???????? ????? You have the same thinking as him...this is not CS:GO....you should care for your character as for yourself and RP fear accordingly. In good RP your "gear" wouldn't protect you from a headshot. That's putting the game mechanics before good RP. And as for your last question. I was telling that to the same guy...just that I pressed N and it didn't work...you can hear the keyboard tap multiple times.
  5. Common sense. Is something rare nowadays. Fail RP ...bad RP....poor IC judgment are the same thing in different words. As I said him going inside and giving demands is just that bad of a scenario and should have never happened. If you fail to understand that.....I can see now why people are moving cities...while there being a wave of new people joining in here...the numbers stay the same or even drop a bit.
  6. Seeing as a Moderator and a Senior Support can't recognize fail RP when they see it ..it's one of the reason I'm leaving. If he had followed the points I told above: Place his car in a good position. Call for backup. Place himself outside the car behind cover where he is safe. Keep us at gunpoint at the door.. without letting us get out of the store. This would have been a by the book arrest...with cover coming to help him out...keeping himself safe and the situation under control.
  7. @DrPathetic Same point as I told the guy above. It doesn't matter who pointed the gun at who. I knew he had the SMG pointed at me despite the animation being bugged. The fact that he went inside in the first place is fail RP
  8. @freshprinceIE It doesn't matter who pointed the gun at who first...the fact is he ran into a situation on which he had 0 information on. Alone. Nobody runs in a store like that :)) it's just amusing and can hardly take him serious after seeing him doing that. In what reality does 1 cop charge through a stores doors and starts giving demands like that? :)) He sounds like he's doing a robbery himself...
  9. I'm not going to submit a report on this.... Reports don't fix anything. Specially around here. The fact that 1 cop can fail RP so hard is just hilarious as fk for me....I just can't deal with this type of poor RP. It feels like GTAV online servers with extra rules...when scenarios this bad are put in place. I will explain what he did wrong and what he should have done ...to provide a good RP for everyone involved. What he did wrong: Cop went full Rambo through the shop's doors while he was under gun point. ALONE. And started giving demands =))))))))))))))) He charged inside a store alone....against 2 people that are robbing a store and with no knowledge if both of them have weapons or not. I spoke with him after the incident and his reasoning was. " I had a vest and an SMG vs your pistol....and the other guy had nothing" In a good RP scenario...you should be afraid for your life...a headshot is a headshot and you are dead. But you putting game mechanics before good RP....thats just bad as fk. You wouldn't charge alone in a store like that in a realistic scenario..or a good RP scenario. This is not CS:GO....we don't rush B here. What he should have done to ensure a easy win and provide good RP: Place his car in a good position. Call for backup. Place himself outside the car behind cover where he is safe. Keep us at gunpoint at the door.. without letting us get out of the store. We were cornered and I wouldn't just run outside if I had an SMG pointed at me. RP is like a continuous string. If you at any point fail RP...the string is cut...I'm taken out of the RP....and whatever happens after that point is plain bad RP...and I don't want to take part in that. People should have a higher standard for RP...and put more effort in providing good RP to everyone....that way there would be less "REPORT" threads in the report section... But instead...people can't follow basic RP rules and the "save POV" meta is a thing now.
  10. That was exactly my point .... and both crims / police will try to top each other. If people had rocket launchers they would use them. But like I said in my other posts.. If people valued life more ....things wouldn't have gotten like this. At the end of the day the OOC mentality that's just a game and I'll be ok no matter what...will come forward. My argument was that everyone should try to avoid shootouts as much as they can .... crims / pd both. I'll just copy paste what I said before: "Is that both parties should try to mitigate the situation in order to avoid a shootout. Because no matter who shoots first...and bullets start flying there's no guarantee that you will make it out alive. And so it should be in everyone's interest to avoid that. Both bad and good characters. Treating this more like an RP server and not a deathmatch server." But I doubt the current mentality that is dominant on this server will change. At the end of the day everyone wants a win no matter what...and they will shoot someone easily to get that.
  11. @Victor Einhart "Long story short... we have had extensive experience responding to these and they are extremely dangerous calls. "All hands on deck" is required if we know there is a good chance of 3-4 units being overwhelmed and killed on a call like this." Because it just seems like violence is not moderated at all. Violence is met with more violence.... I think that's how things escalated so much around here. Just my inexperienced opinion ... If there was an even playing field from the start it wouldn't have gotten this bad.
  12. @tylxrrr I keep giving you some kind of solution , you keep countering with ways to make the RP gameplay too serious and unfun. It just looks like people want to change stuff without putting any effort behind it. The point I was making about who shoots who. And putting more price on a life. Is that both parties should try to mitigate the situation in order to avoid a shootout. Because no matter who shoots first...and bullets start flying there's no guarantee that you will make it out alive. And so it should be in everyone's interest to avoid that. Both bad and good characters. Treating this more like an RP server and not a deathmatch server. That's what I mean by taking any lives seriously. To imagine the point I'm making better...Try to put yourself in a bank robbery scenario. No matter what side. Just imagine that if you died. Your character would be deleted and everything you done was lost. And you'd have to start all over again from 0. With no contacts , help etc.
  13. We are not talking about those cases tho ? I'm saying specifically in this case that started the thread and similar ones...where there would be negotiation going on.
  14. That ties in to my point I made above. That no one in the city takes lives as serious as they should. Both good and bad characters should put more price on a life. The main goal for everyone should be ...making it out alive to be able to see the next day. But instead everyone is puling a gun and shooting one another like its a CS:GO match.
  15. Most of the issues can be dealt with in the negotiation phase... people just need to give reasonable demands. And plan out around them...also being ready for some of them demands that are exaggerated not to be fulfilled.
  16. In a "realistic response" you wouldn't have all units in a city surrounding a bank. Trying to make it too realistic will ruin the gameplay for everyone. All available units in a real life situation doesn't mean the same thing as it means in GTA V. "dozens of contingencies" . That just sounds like you want the police to do a lazy job in tackling bank robberies. If you don't want to invest time into developing your cop character and getting experience with numerous situations....I'm not going to say anything as it would be negative :). RP experience shouldn't revolve around and change based on how much time you have to dedicate to developing your character. But I feel like we are going off topic and making this more personal than it needs to be. The point that I strongly agree with you is that crims will use AKS to shoot down cops like lives mean nothing. But this applies to cops as well. That seems to be the predominant mentality around the city....it looks like lives don't weight too much in eyes the of people...if only this changed it would be a better RP experience overall for everyone.
  17. @CaesarSeizure This could be handled nicely by the police IC...Helicopter can come and scout from the air and give info to ground units. 3-4 cars should be enough for this. At least 2 cars should keep eye on the bank. While the whole process of a robbery can take some time. The other 2 cop cars can scout around and gather info. Based on the info they gather from ground and air ...additional officers can be called depending on the situation. If there are suspicious vehicles around etc. If negotiated ...air support / spikes can be briefly removed for the start of the chase. To give them free passage Also in the negotiation phase cops can impose that free passage can only be given for 1 vehicle that the guys in the bank are. And all other vehicles that interfere would be met with bruteforce. But instead , you have 10 units sitting around for half an hour pointing their guns at a door.
  18. By the number of cars they have prepared for escape ? More crim cars = more police cars All of this can be handled in the negotiation phase. And the police can send forces based on that intel.
  19. @Victor Einhart I'm not him ....but if police were to gradually increase the pressure by sending more police force....not having all hands on deck from the start. Example. In this case. Have only 3-4 police cars at start. With the engine stalling at the slightest contact this shouldn't be an issue. Have only 3-4 cars chase them down. While only trying to get in front of him and stopping them that way. After 3-4 minutes increase the number of police cars. While still trying to stop them the same way. Bring air support if needed. If the chase goes down for another 2 minutes..bring in special vehicles and allow ramming. Following the basic design of GTA V is a good ideea and it would work for both parties. The chase is fun and adrenaline inducing for everyone participating. Bringing 9 police cars at start + supercar , Kamachos , Ramming vehicles. That is going to make the case only interesting for the police for about 2-3 minutes...until inevitably the bad guys would be caught. It would end up in frustration since crims try to put effort in bank robberies just to be crushed by brute force. With 0 tactic involved from the police.
  20. @jameswilliam100 I've been around for a bit over 1 week and I already can aknowledge all the points you made as true. I expected a better RP experience. If you go at piers more than half of the text chat is in OOC. And it's anoying as fk. Even better..check reports section..I've seen people reporting others using OOC and PM system to get info that should have been IC. Crim and Police both do it. But no one want's to change anything.....because good RP sometimes means taking a loss....and they don't like that. Everyone has something to prove around here and it shows.... Sadly in doing so...making the RP experience worse for everyone.
  21. You can count like 8-9 police cars + the slightly hidden SuperSport cop car. Cops have all the communication they need and Heli available. They did not stand a chance. How many more one-ups do the police need to win a chase?
  22. @jameswilliam100 That's a big Yikes, and rip RP. Couldn't you guys keep the hostage at gun point until all of you were all in the car? It looks like the hostage got to safety way too fast while you all weren't even in the car. Then release the hostage to the police officers once you all were set in the vehicle. In case you hurt the hostage at that point I would understand an aggressive reaction like that. Spikes , shooting and all that. But in this case just looks like bad RP.
  23. Thanks @Cyrus Raven After careful consideration I have taken the matter to IC and will deal with it appropriately. One of my big issues was with how it was enforced by Police officers. Being too forceful and not bothering to engage in a discussion with me. Also the fact that my RP was broken mid interaction by an admin's decision. Which led to me posting this under frustration. But like I said, Will take care of this IC. Already got a good feedback from a couple of officers. Edit: Ah missed a point .no where in the penal code does it state you need a medical license or permit by MD to wear a mask for ''medical reasons'' That information was provided by me IC from 4 police officers I had interactions at different times. And both parties told me to get a license for it.
  24. @Victor Einhart I will follow through with this situation in IC. I already have planned out what I will do. I am sad I didn't think of recording all the instances I'm talking about when blaming the cops for fail RP. You don't have to take my word for it. But there would have been at least 15-20 instances. Gathered in 2 days. I wouldn't have brought it up if it weren't so frustrating to deal with. And get interrupted every 5 / 10 minutes. Sometimes when I'm mid RP with someone else and actually having fun.
  25. @SaltyPython There's multiple things I'm having issues with . Cops being to aggressive is one of them. Cops failing to RP the scenario I presented them considering is totally realistic and not NRP in any way. Is another thing. Also walking around with a mask that only covers half your face when your character is plenty distinguishable, I don't see why every cop would come in my face and start spazzing out. Also how the issue was handled and the RP was broken. Nobody likes it when you are having a good RP time then something that doesn't make any sense pops up and ruins it. I don't want to go on a rant again...so I'll stop here , I just felt like I needed to answer you. One thing I wanted to point out specifically. I talk about this with IRL experience behind. @SaltyPython you said : "everyone would wear masks everywhere all the time (like at the bank - which was borderline non-RP, try going into a bank pre-covid times with a skull mask and see how far you get)" Because you didn't see it as often pre-covid does not mean that people didn't have to wear masks for certain illnesses and go into banks with masks on. It wasn't common. That's all. Also the mask I'm mentioning actually looks looks like a regular stylised medical grade mask. Not a skull mask. Also I'm not calling for Co-vid in game...as that would be mixing. I've provided the doctor with the details and went through with 30-40 minutes of RP to determine the illness / stages etc.
