Prices ARE set by the player running the business. they pay for the delivery. if the price is too low for you, dont take the job, forcing them to increase the price or wait til the trucker is desperate. supply and demand. typically a docks to paleto run is priced in at 3-4k by the market, with players paying more if they need the delivery ASAP. you just ran into a lowballer.

it was a store located in the city its just the fact that you gotta go all the way up to paleto for the average price that people pay, I understand its player decision but im sure you see my point of it being so low and almost not worth it if you get me

  2. I went to do trucking today to fill up a general store then noticed that I have to drive all the way up to paleto and back down to the city, for the grand total of 1000$

I dont see how this is worth the time at all to drive almost 16km total for one trip to earn a total of 1000 per trip, not including the loading and unloading time associated with these jobs too.

    Thoughts?

Wow, I can see this faction having a long and prosperous life!

We are striving for slow and steady pace. Proper development of our lore overtime with a unique way of protraying our day to day RP through our threads ( COMING SOON ! ) is something we are striving for. Just something different in terms of the criminal factions that I myself have never seen before 👍

I can see where you're coming from. A lot of people just want to roll with their friends and also not worry about the OOC side of things, like running a faction, OOC meetings, managing faction threads/posts, etc. I personally don't see the issue with having a 40-man faction cap. Some might say "It's too much" but like.. and? What's wrong with that?

If the argument here is "More people for the clap" - then that's a completely different subject. We have FS to deal with factions RP standards. I think the faction cap rule should only be applied to factions with questionable RP standards, instead of making it a blanket rule for all factions; it should come as a form of punishment.

    ^^^^^^

If someone is quite obviously a clap crew this can be dealt with seperately, rather than just assuming that since cap is higher everyone is a clap crew haha.

40 wouldnt be a game breaking number of people to have in a gang and to keep in mind more often than not, they wont all be on at the same time so its not like youre going to have 40 people running in a lab and just overpowering everyone.

Its less of a timezone issue but more like gives more people an opportunity. Whilst yeah you can make your own faction, the vast majority of people may not want to, or have the time to do that so its much better to join a gang, but if they are all full, what choice do they have

    -1

30 is a good number, anything above this is just unnecessary as it's mostly just wanting more people to roll labs with. As Checkyy said, there is one group that comes to mind and this benefits them only, so it's a no from me.

I feel like a majority of groups would benefit from this, im unsure who the one group who would be the only to supposedly benefit it, however I believe gangs have recently just disbadned which means them people will need to go somewhere and im sure the current factions dont have enough space scriptly as well as unofficial ones will quickly fill up

  6. +1 with the limited amount of official factions at the moment its already hard enough to join them.

As well with many gangs that are unofficial there are still so many at capacity.

A capacity of 40-45 would be much better to spread members throughout timezones etc as well as just giving more people the chance to be part of criminal RP because at the moment if youre a solo gang going against a gang with max capacity, result is already determined ha

Its a good idea on paper, however lets say someone is cheating and you ask them to save pov, they can just hit you with the "no storage" or "nvidia is off" every time, this just essentially means people are able to get away with cheating more often and when the server doesn't have a PC checking system it is impossible to know if someone is really cheating without their POV.

I get you, Its kind of you cant really win with this. Because if you literally are unable to record (whether that be for performance issues or even just technical issues) and this is something that is then punishable - it wouldn't really be sustainable. I have had countless time where people have been unable to record footage, something even just forgetting to turn their OBS or whatever on. I just don't think its really a rule that can be clearly enforceable as there is a big issue with determining whether someone doesn't have footage cos they don't want to, or they actually just cannot record.

  8. I wouldnt say there is any issue around this at all currently. If you feel something was reportable in the fight, you tell them there and then so they can clip the footage if necessary. If youre not told to save pov, and you feel everything went how it should, youre not going to save your footage because why would you, it just takes up space you dont need it to. Then having to store for 48 hours?

Better off just keeping it how it is, if youre asked to save pov, save it. If you are not asked to save pov, you dont need to.

Your responsibility to tell someone during the situation or just as its concluded that you want their footage for a report, rather than just expecting people to save footage which a majority of the time will just end up being deleted anyway without use.

  9. Are you saying to record all of your fights, regardless of whether you are asked to save POV or not? Or just to record everything with the possibility that the fight could end in a report?

Would you say that if you are not requested to save POV following the fight (maybe give a period of 10 mins following the end of the fight) then you can delete or do what you please with the footage after this period. Because if people are fighting continuously, stacking up footage can be quite demanding for those with small storage , and constantly recording can heavily impact FPS.

I understand the point of the suggestion however just a few drawbacks to imposing this as an official rule.

This is not in any way an accurate statement at all. Impound is not something that LSPD in any way shape or form ignores because we dislike the activity, and the RP quality/variety is always dogshit. It, like MD's roadworkers fire calls, are low priority regarding call hierarchy. It has been for the year and a half I've been in PD, and it has been before my time on this server. It's not "No one wants to come to impound" but more so "gangs are shooting at each other" or "someone at burgershot looked at me funny, so I smashed him with a bat" which starts a massive headache, or responding to house robberies, store robberies, atm robberies, you get the picture.

The thing that people constantly fail to see is that it's not that PD doesn't want to come to impound, it's we get side-tracked with more important calls that come in. It's a double-edged sword. You are at impound, want a car out, we don't arrive on time. So, we prioritize impound calls, but then you're making a 911 call because some person shot at you and killed your friend, and we don't respond in time to investigate. Lose-lose for PD in either case. We see the calls coming in. We request a free unit to respond. They make their way there, but if they are enroute and pull off, there's a reason for it, and it's not because it's "not an activity they enjoy", nor is it because "the RP quality/variety is always dogshit."

The conversation surrounding whether the devs make it automated or not is on them to decide the amount of work and effort it is needed to execute on. The relocation of the impound lot in the city was done because of the mapping updates that the Mod Team has been working hard on for many months to provide a fresh re-skin of the city and make it more enjoyable for everyone in the future.

Fully understand where youre coming from, however there is a good few members of PD who will just sit at a speed trap, you go up to them ask if they can meet you at impound, you end up going down there then they down turn up. And more often than not if you go and look for them theyre either in the same place or moved to a different speed trap.

I know it may not happen often but I think this is a reason why people get annoyed by the whole PD not showing up for impound calls, and the fact we cant call 911 because I know that impound calls can get lost in chat a lot. ( Potentially could implement a non-emergency line to resolve the whole 'incorrect use of government hotline' when calling for impound )
