But the issue is that some people hate that as well. People in leadership roles in official factions have made /reports because "PD is escalating a traffic stop" by having four cruisers and a helicopter. However, that is exactly what you're advocating for, thinking ahead. If I know that someone is a gang member, likely armed and likely to evade, I will have overwhelming numbers, helicopters and other assets deployed ahead of time. However, some people think that is unrealistic.

The issue seems to be that everyone has their own solution, and most of them seem to be aimed at making things less realistic. The fact of the matter is that if you try to run away from LAPD, even if a sports bike, you will not get away. A real helicopter is almost impossible to get away from. Until a week ago, every single bike could go into a subway system, on the actual tracks and easily juke it. In a populated city.

That was fine and very little people had an issue with it; because, at the end of the day, very few people want realism, they just want an easier time getting away from cops, but that is not realistic.

This is not a problem whatsoever its completely realistic for a cop to be asking for backup for a criminal with an extensive history but what I am talking about is when people during a chase are going in and switching to whatever vehicle or car they want, if you are pre-planning to have a kamacho or jugular etc that makes sense no problem with that and just to mention their is enough realism within the chases and stuff that happens, helicopters can and have lost people in chases in real life

  2. The more you argue the more this thread goes un-recognised, then ends up being locked and archived like every single other PD Balancing thread that has been posted its obvious that PD needs to be changed and if you really believe the PD system is perfect then do you think that 80% of criminals on this server would be complaining for no reason? If you do not have a solution move on from this thread instead of blaming other parties and attacking them.

    Simple Solutions:

Firstly It is not reasonable by any means in my opinion that PD/SD should be able to go from a cruiser to a kamacho in less than a minute either have the same cruiser through out the whole shift or have vehicles in an actual garage that takes longer to take out this will call for people to think ahead of time, also respawning a cruiser to fix it is not anywhere near realistic law enforcement have designated fuel stations where they go and fill their own cruisers up which doesnt charge them also any damage that is done to the vehicle is his/her's responsibility unless of course it was damaged by a criminal just add a fuel spot in the parking area of both lspd and lssd where it doesnt charge on duty personnel if they are in a rush they can refuel anywhere based on the average cop in ecrp they can afford to spend $500 on fuel.

Secondly this is a problem you will see cops pushing 2v5s because they know they have body armour, carbines and no loss if they die just add a system where each PD/SD which dies on duty pays a set amount for the equipment they decide to use e.g If you use 100AP body armour with a shotgun and .50 and were to die whilst on duty 'losing' these items you'd pay roughly 30-40k somewhere around half of import prices I believe this system would be a better solution than to wiping their salary.

FInally No wellness goes up the closer you are to MD so stay there if you wish there should be nothing stopping you also if you added the owner of the car taking speed tickets while in theory it makes sense it will be abused.

This is all my personal opinion and if you have a problem with it dont just flood this thread quoting me reach out to me through these forums instead.

  3. @Papadakis Based on the perception of house labs I believe they  are steering towards removing them or atleast adding more player to player interaction when it comes to selling or  manufacturing drug and even possibly bringing back how labs initially used to work having supplies drop and cooking from  labs itself.

I don't want to speak for the staff team, but the logic seems to be that they want to avoid the "hands" and shoot mentality. If you had more of a reason to hold him up prior, shooting him could be justified, but if all he did was disregard your demands, it wouldn't be alright to shoot, possibly.

Doesnt make sense practically maybe for shootouts on the street but what about labs and chops

It's not about a specific number, it's about turning an entire luxury apartment into a druglab. You shouldn't be raising the entire floor to a point where it's clipping through things solely for the purpose of building a lab. Due to players abusing this on countless occasions, we've had to make this blanket change until a better solution can be reached.

so would adding proper support items like posts be allowed as realistically if i wanted it to be a drug lab I would have taken out all the unwanted things in the apartment such as the couch tv and such but its not scriptly possible or the floor rising thing would never even be a thing to start off with.

I would also like to ask further clarification amongst the Deathmatching rule, are we moving towards an eclipse community eradicating demands as a form of DM rights? If so i completely support it if done right. Currently we need more situational based examples to be given, in the examples given no one has talked about seeing players in a Lab/Chop if staff want to give a few examples in circumstances that several gangs go through on a day to day basis possibly using past reports as teachable moments as I see in every DM report that is accepted DEMANDS ARE NOT DM RIGHTS then use circumstantial examples.

    • We blanket ban the use of specific words.
    • We blanket ban all derogatory terms linked to race, sexual orientation and gender.
    • We allow all derogatory terms but everyone involved in a specific situation must consent OOCly beforehand.
This would allow private roleplay to still allow for it. Example, a street gang hanging out with one another or arguing with another group that has given their consent to it.
    • We allow some terms with OOC permission but ban others specific terms

Explain what words you plan on banning, also do you understand how having to ask ooc "can i talk shit to you" would just feel manufactured not to mention they could just not consent to it, personally the demographic that plays this game should be able to handle people who are using slurs and banning words is not the solution honestly in nearly a years worth of playing I am yet to run into someone who has actually offended me through the use of slurs.

  7. Ye so I have had this same experience spoke to some mods and support about this, apparently there is a very very small chance for your tables while cool to blow up but it can happen so its unfortunate but I dont believe anything can be changed as it is an in-game mechanic. Good luck ❤️

  8. [Addition]/[Rework]

So right now within ECRP there is kind of an imbalance between cop and crim. Criminals who are playing have a huge risk every time they leave their home with something illegal which is what it should be like but there is no risk for cops, in game cops can pretty much be a crim with no risk if a cop dies they lose nothing but maybe a gps and a radio they are losing nothing compared to if a criminal dies there goes car getting chopped losing guns and everything else. What i believe could be implemented is that if an officer was to die on duty he/she would have to pay for the equipment that 'vanished' maybe like 40% of the import price of the total items or even if an officer dies the hours he/she worked prior to his death would not count as it does not make sense for someone to die on the job and still get paid. This in my eyes makes being a cop much more realist and will hopefully be an incentive for officers to not go into hostile scenarios without thinking twice about the reprecussions.

SD/PD please let me know what you think about this (this is all from perspective of a crim character)

  9. Huge +1 as someone who has been around for a year solely playing as a crim, I feel that nearly all these addition could be implemented but also another idea.

    [Addition]

Adding a duoanim to take someone hostage where their gun is right to the hostages temple and you are very close to the hostage meaning that some officers who arrive later and cant catch the /me or /do's will see that the hostage is in direct threat meaning any shots that would be taken would be severe to both parties, the command would work like frisking someone doing the rp of it and then performing the action with the command.

I did play on a crim, but I knew when to take my risks and when to dip, so my crim was never in prison.

Playing a crim solo is completely different to in a gang, I have been followed/questioned by officers just for being in colours (even had one that aliased my face for being part of a gang and questioned me) it really does stop me from going to places while being a criminal , i stopped going to the pier due to PD just checking my charges and searching my vehicle it really does get to a point where its boring, getting a .50 getting chased by PD/SD rinse repeat

Or you know, maybe they don't try to always win and surrender and they only get the gun charge?

Not trying to be rude or anything but have you played on a criminal before? Being in DOC is very boring and it really does stop you from experiencing other RP opportunities the fines are annoying but its realistic but the time for what your doing is extremely boring and every time ive been in DOC all i do is put on a movie and tab in and out to move around.
