    Trucking Jobs

It has become a bit of a piss take having to load up in the city, drive from the city to Paleto Bay, unload, then drive all the way back for only £1000 This can sometimes take up to 1 hour if you get long load and unload times, and now new players are forever asking how to cancel the job because they don't want to do it but are now stuck. Yes I know you could argue they need to learn it but it has now got to the point where the CB radio only consists of players asking how to leave a job and also the trailers are just getting ditched all over the city with players fed up with it. My suggestion: Make 1 or 2 default repeat jobs available to players when there are no other contracts at all, like a cheap one through the city and a slightly more expensive one to go outside the city. Keep this default job to only pop up once every X amount of minutes, but just be there to provide a little more work when none is available. It would also encourage trucks to be driven around more often instead of sat waiting, which will give the city a bit more of an alive feel to it providing traffic on the highways.
  2. I don't think you want to make the licence too expensive because people may want to do this as a job too (what about tour plane/helicopter rides or parachute jumping hobbies at one of the much smaller airfields for civilians to do?) So instead of high priced licence and lessons, maybe in total it will cost about £10k for a full licence if it is done without any fails? But the planes themselves are going to be at least £500k for the smallest and lightest aircraft, so this in itself will stop too many players buying them early to reduce the amount in game. But also fuels would be very expensive so maybe put that at $50-$100 to deter plane use as well. Now to really control the plane use if you need to, there is a VERY simple and realistic way to keep it maintained. This is air traffic control, in real life there is a restriction on airspace and the amount of aircraft that can be in it at once... So, you just cap the amount of planes in the game, and make players sell them 2nd hand once the capacity is at its limits?
  3. What if there was some form of Intelligence Agency that could help set up undercover or infiltration projects within not only criminal gangs but also government services to uncover people who are not performing their role fairly or correctly. This could be open to all sorts of options for work, Roleplay and story opportunities here which you can take ideas from the below thoughts: Most Wanted List: This is a list at the Intelligence Agency and maybe also available to public? Basically it consists of the top 10 most wanted criminals who are currently operating, maybe the top gang leaders or very dangerous serial killers etc. Perhaps in order for them to be on this wall it requires a minimum of 2 items of information, something like a Name and also at least 1 Photo. The photo can be a previous arrest image if they have done previous time in prison, or a CCTV image if they have been spotted in shops, casino, clubs etc with CCTV in operation. The following things below can create story lines, drama, investigation jobs, and Roleplay scenarios for the above situation: Credit Card Tracking: If someone is on this top 10 most wanted list, then if their card is used within a shop it blips a location of use 10 seconds after the transaction (giving criminals an equal chance to get away and also the police an idea of their accessible locations to try and locate them). The police can even go to the shops and conduct an investigation to question the staff about the person in question. This can be avoided if the gang leaders send in foot man to do their shopping lists, or if people on the most wanted list use cash instead of card. (encouraging criminals to use cash instead of card is very lifelike and realistic as well). Number Plate Recognition: Similar to above, if someone is on a most wanted list, and their car is registered to their name, what if a mechanics garage would blip up from number plate recognition through a DVLA/DMV register system. Again it should give criminals a 20 second gap to get out of the area but also provides the police with a little intelligence on locations used by the criminals and investigations or interviews can be roleplayed on scene etc. Undercover Operations: Maybe undercover officers could be created to infiltrate gangs to get information about their operations. Gangs can also find out who is an undercover cop if they spot the person walking in to the Intelligence Agency and they can then deal with it in their own way. (I am picturing some grim scenarios here of gang members having meetings on boats in the middle of the ocean like in the Sopranos, or perhaps on a farm next to a wood chip grinder). But the advantages are not just for the police because of this next job role: Internal Affairs: Planting a person within the police force as an undercover and new character with some bull***t backstory like being "on transfer from another station" who is actually in the department to locate bad cops, which can range from police officers not responding to calls, police officers turning a blind eye to particular crimes, or perhaps the police force even has a mole within it who actually communicates with a gang behind their departments back? (I suppose you could also investigate other chains of command too, fire departments, medical, even just general work at any job where foul play is suspected).
  4. Thank you, yes this is very well explained! Big thanks and all the best :) /Sorted /Solved
  5. So I cannot find any information on this and have read the rules over a bunch of times, so if someone can explain the following two items to me I would greatly appreciate it. 1. Experience points I understand you collect for the longer you spend playing within the server... But what does it actually get you or achieve? 2. The regular government payment of $1,500 that you collect once at 100% for staying online has been increasing over time and is now at like $1,508 or something when I last received it, where is this calculation coming from to decide this amount? Thank you.
