Nova Steel had a very normal childhood, she lived in Las Vegas, Nevada most of her life with her Mom, Dad, older sister & little brother. Her family was pretty wealthy and would often travel from place to place, Nova adored these vacations and couldn’t wait to travel, her favorite place was Los Santos. One day on vacation in LS Nova and her Dad were out and about and they stopped into a motorcycle shop which was owned by a family friend. Nova fell in love with bikes from that moment on and always dreamed about the day she could own one.
When Nova was 13 she was staying over a friend’s house for the night, she woke up the next morning expecting her Mom to be outside her friend’s house waiting to pick her up. What she saw instead was her grandmother who she wasn’t close to and their family didn’t see very often sitting outside waiting for her. Her grandmother drove them both back to her house and sat Nova down and explained that in the middle of the night her Mother, Father and little brother had been murdered and their house had been burglarized. Nova had never been through any sort of death or heartache like this and with her being so young she didn’t know how to process this info, she was then informed that her and her older sister would be staying with their grandmother for the time being. At first things were really tough for Nova as family was her everything and this was an insane shift for her, luckily she still had her older sister and they helped each other through this tough time. Months went by and things were starting to get easier for them however during this time they started to see their grandmothers true colors, she was very harsh and abusive and they started to see why their parents never brought them around her.
At the age of 15 Nova had had enough of her grandmother’s abuse so her and her sister decided to run away, they stayed with her sister’s boyfriend no one knew about. Things were okay for a couple months till Nova started to notice her sister acting very different, at first Nova couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her until one day she walked in on her sister and her boyfriend doing drugs on the kitchen floor, Nova was livid and couldn’t believe what her sister was doing so she screamed at her sister on how irresponsible she was being and how their parents would be ashamed. 7 months after running away they woke up to police at the door there to take Nova back to her grandmother’s since she was still underage, Nova went with the police to where she was handed over to her grandmother, when they got back to the house her grandmother started yelling and screaming at her then started to throw things at Nova. She ran to her room and locked herself in and knew she couldn’t stay here so she planned her escape. After countless attempts to run away she got in contact with the family friend who owned the bike shop and asked if she could come stay with them, which they gladly said yes and flew her out, Nova’s grandmother had grown ill and tired of taking care of her so she let her go. Nova moved in with the family friends and they offered her a job at the shop and she happily accepted.
One day while Nova was working at the shop a woman named Arabella Kirk came in and her and Nova hit it off and became friends, they would talk on and off for years. At 19 Nova decided to go travel the world more so that is what she did for 2 years, she traveled from place to place with little to no money staying with friends or staying in her car but Nova grew tired of being alone and traveling by herself. One day she got a text from Arabella Kirk asking how she was doing and what Nova was up to, Nova explained how she was traveling and expressed her feelings of just being sick of being alone, Arabella then started to tell Nova about her group called The Iron Pegasus MC located in Los Santos and how she was secretary for the club and if Nova was lonely to come join ! Arabella explained how they were all a family and cared and helped each other, all this sounded too good to be true for Nova as she had never had a real family since before her parents and brother had died and missed that feeling and just wanted to fit in to something again, Nova accepted Arabella’s offer and sold her car to buy a ticket back to Los Santos. When Nova arrived she thought Arabella would be there to pick her up but there was no sign of her, instead a man driving a bus told Nova to get in and that he would give her $1000 dollars if she got in that he needed to ask her something so she got in the bus and quickly she regretted her choice when the man had told her she was about to go meet her “soon to be husband” they pulled up to a bar where red headed man got in saying how he was gonna marry her and she had no choice in the matter. They went around the city and picked up people for this “wedding” that was about to happen when the bus broke down, Nova knew they were near the bus station where she hoped Arabella would be waiting for her, Nova ran out of the bus and ran to the station and everyone ran after her. She ran all the way to the station where she saw Arabella and a man who she would later find out is Matt Armstrong the president of IPMC waiting for her, she ran into Arabella’s arms and explained what had happened, Arabella and Matt quickly took Nova to safety where the rest of the MC was waiting. They accepted her in immediately and she started her journey with the MC as a prospect and eventually earned her spot as Club Photographer and Enforcer in the Operations Division.
