Stop trying to make the server too OP for PD and SD.

I am not saying that. I am just saying that there are a lot of cameras because everyone is speeding. Everyone is going 200km/h in middle of the LS and when they get arrested they are mad. Would you drive your car 200km/h in the middle of the town in real life? I wouldn't say so. Maybe this is a game but it's RolePlay and RolePlay is simulating Real Life. If we want to simulate Real Life we must keep the RolePlay at high standards so if the speed limit is 80 km/h then go 80 km/h.

  2. BIG +1

It will improve RP a lot and it's realistic. OOCly it will also prevent the guys speeding around with their Drags and Comet Custom Retros. Only guys who like to go 300km/h around the map will put -1. Going 300 km/h always is non RP if you ask me. Why? If you have IRL a supercar will you drive it always on the highway at that speed?

  3. Well those queues should be done RPly. Someone needs to be there to hold the queue and make the queue. 10 people standing onto the checkpoint and just spamming Y is just nonRP and not realistic at all. There should be someone who will make a queue and call you when a place is free for you. OOCly checkpoint just exists to be here and if you want to play you press Y on it and it will put you in the game.

I feel most non-affiliated criminals try to make the RP as quick as possible because the longer it takes, the higher chance police will drive by or a bystander will call the police. This is completely unfair for the victim. There should definitely be an extension of roleplay instead of:

Robber: (Finds a random player in the middle of the street) HANDS HANDS HANDS KNEES KNEES

    Victim: /down

    Robber: /me pats down person. /do s?

    Victim: /do s

    Robber: /frisk (id)

    Victim: /friskapprove (id)

Robber: (After frisking) DROP THE GUN NOW

Victim: Why don't you just take it off me?

Robber: /b Fear RP and stalling drop the gun or /report

Victim: /me unholsters the gun from their waist and-

    Robber: 5 4 3 2 -

Victim: -slowly puts the gun on the gr-

Robber: -1 (Proceeds to open fire and loot the victim)

A way this could be improved is adding a rule where in the event of a robbery, the robber must allow the victim enough time to type out their roleplay. If the robber blatantly speeds up roleplay to avoid a bystander spotting the robbery, then that would be a violation of this rule.

I think when you compromise the role-play standard for a higher population count, situations like this are almost inevitable. Speaking as part of LSPD, the majority of the robbers.. non-role-players and combat loggers are new players. Because anyone that has a vested interest in this server knows better than to pull that shit.

I said it on another thread but a lot of new players want to be Scarface, they don't want to be Tony Montana. We have an over-inflated economy that feeds the 'get rich or die tryin' mentality, so of course people are going out there and robbing each other. It's a dog eat dog server.

Ballas have been stomped out by WCA very recently, dog eat dog. The Council stomped The Wanted out of existence, dog eat dog. You could carry on and on with examples. I'm not saying that was wrong but it's the nature of the beast.

People look to the police but to be real honest, we're so busy chasing the gangs around, half the time we don't see your 911 call about getting robbed until it's too late. Sad but true.

For people personally on the end of this that are continuing to play here, I say you've got three options.

    1. You can become a robber yourself and make someone else the victim.
    2. You can continue to whine about being robbed and stay the victim.
    3. You can adapt and minimise your risk of being robbed in the first place. it's still going to happen to you at some point but there's ways and means of avoiding it for the most part.

I'm not a staff member so I can't tell anyone what to do, but if it was me, I'd look at whether having 450-500 people in the server at one time was actually helping or hurting the community. If there is some kind of selection policy about who gets an account here, it's not working because there are some god awful roleplayers coming in recently.

  5. Okay, here is the thing. When you get on server you will have your NEW PLAYER tag until 5000 experience. As far as I was researching you get 6 experience per minute. Which is a little bit less than 14 hours of active playing on server. You get 5000$ as new player to start with and decent amount of money per hour as just to be online on server. Here is the rule I would like to be adjusted:

    Quote

Players with the (( NEW PLAYER )) tag that deliberately insert themselves into or start active crime scenes lose their new player protection during those illegal activities.

So you need less than 14 hours for you NEW PLAYER tag to be removed. If you are working as a farmer on Paul's Farmstead you can earn around 4000$ per hour. So that means in the second hour you can go and buy a gun because you have money for it. Then you can go and and act crime, like rob people or something like that. Okay when he is doing crime and gets all of your stuff he loses that protection. But when you (for example) see him after few hours and want to steal your items back he is like in OOC chat:"YOU CAN'T DO THAT I AM A NEW PLAYER", which is completely true because you can't rob someone and start a crime scene on NEW PLAYER.

I would like it this rule to be changed to that players with NEW PLAYER tag can't insert themselves into or start crime scenes and reduce the experience to 3500-4000. I have seen many NEW PLAYERS on server abusing their privileges.

We already have gangs that don't have a specific color code, namely the MCs. Secondly, if someone wanted to be smart about it and actually hide their affiliation go for it. The Russian Mafia changed it up from a white color code to no color code under the name of realism (but it didn't really end well for them) so I don't see why this is some sort of obligation. It even says on the Faction Guide that high status gangs like Mafias shouldn't have color codes. If you want to make a faction like so, be my guest.

We are talking about that we have more gangs with color codes than gangs without it. We are not pointing that is wrong. We are just pointing that just the biggest gangs IRL have their own color codes and that's it. And by this we went to say to new players and new gang creators not to focus on color codes and that they should focus on something else, more original to them which would result in a better RolePlay. That's my point and what I also see I'm sharing it with @Clay

You basically have to, it is a lot easier to recognize people IRL than it is in GTA. targets are smaller and you rely on your graphics setting to see who it is. A bit further down, stuff renders less and you will have issues with not knowing who it is. Additionally, scenes in game are a lot more hectic than those of real life, you cant wave a hand gesture or something similar to help with it.

So yes, gangs use colours to let people know - this is our gang, but you will see some gangs have it more open than not. Triads use vehicle colours and masks, zetas have a quite large range to what is their blue. Additionally, with how the gang colours are in game right now, it creates a lot of RP situations for people to either pretend to be in that gang or do crime in another gangs colours to avoid any repercussions.

Lastly, this is a game and people want to have fun. It is why cops dont just storm gang HQs 24/7 or arrest people for gang affiliation, same reason why gangs dont just straight up shoot at PD at any given time, its a game.

And to your last reply, go right ahead, thats exactly what kind of RP this can create which could actually force gangs to look for other means of identification.

Have you ever played GTA San Andreas? There you have 311 skins. 311 combinations for your character to wear and you have 500 people on server at the same time. So there must be some players with literally SAME skins, same wear same look because of the game. Here you can dress your character however you want, in clothing store you have like 2000 tops to chose and other stuff. So a way way way more combinations to choose between. You can also fully customize your character. And you say that on GTA V, where the graphics are more better than the GTA San Andreas, can't see someone very well? I agree with you, you can't see them like you would see them IRL because this is still a game but it is much more easier than GTA San Andreas because of the next gen graphics. And if we could manage to seperate oureslves in massive gang shootouts in GTA San Andreas, and knew on who to pull a gun and who is your friend I wouldn't see an issue with that in GTA V. If people can't see clearly when then they are shooting well that's the lack of focus because of adrenalin leaking. And that's personal stuff. You need to calm yourself down and look clearly, it's just a game. If it's your character nervous you shouldn't be. Still IRL only biggest criminals are having color codes but not all gangs have that. Maybe they have in some way like masks and that stuff but not full color code from clothing to cars and all other stuff.

If anything this is an IC thing.  They're choosing to operate openly and often face IC consequences for doing so.

Agree also but OOCly we should try to make it more rare. Like 2 per 5 gangs to have that or like the biggest ones like they actually do in real life. In real life those smaller ones everyone don't have money to paint their car in the gang color.

  9. Harder UCP and more stricted to pass, some tutorials or free to play training server. Why harder UCP application? Because the players who pass it will more appreciate while playing on server and be aware not to break any rules so they won't get banned.
