Just a suggestion but could we maybe see more in-game screenshots of what you guys do?

Think that would help show what you guys are about.

Sadly not too many to give at the moment. There will be more to come and I plan to keep this updated in a sort of storyboard fashion. But we're still super fresh into the city.

Seems unique cant wait to see where this story goes.

This is actually the second time now we've posted this. There were numerous issues with the masks so I just rebuilt the whole damn thing.

But thank you. We're hoping to spread some fun both in RP and in just general atmosphere!

A quiet night of simple cruising turned into a fun experience with new family, as Kihara and Cleo were able to get their new family member Chad through the paces of labs, and almost a store robbery. There were run ins with Zetas and other stray hoods, but nothing solid. They learned a gang war was brewing, and Kihara just hoped that their small family wouldn't be dragged into the fray.

But unfortunately with those matters, only time could tell, and it would be hell to be caught in if they were somehow thrown into the fire of it all.

Maybe the chaos would create opportunity however, or perhaps forge new friendships in times of need.

On a much lighter note, Kihara managed to find and house a new friend. A single, sad little hemp plant, now named Jeffrey. A silly addition to the family but loved no less than any other member.

Finally, the Family had their first taste of action, and it went amazingly well. Kihara was able to get help from Byakko and Cleo, and they managed to clean out a small convenience store up North. It was a nerve-wracking experience for Kihara, and the first true taste of criminal activity for the man, but it went off without a hitch, and the crew left as quietly as they had appeared.

The poor clerk shook the entire time, but the small group was able to keep him calm, explaining that the only issues would be between the Ikigai-Gumi and the owner of the store... Unless of course the Clerk decided to get antsy and try anything.

But Byakko held the situation down well enough, and they were able to take what they needed and leave, wishing the man the best of luck for the future and a happy afternoon for now.

It wasn't their place to hurt simple citizens, and Kihara felt bad enough that the man had been caught up in it. But it was done, and no real harm was done. But it was the first step of many, and he knew in his gut that eventually blood would be spilled...

  5. =- The Family -=

Kihara was a simple man, born to hardworking American father and a loving Japanese mother, and led a simple life. The job market proved to be tumultuous at home, and Kihara found himself bouncing job to job quite a bit. One morning he saw an ad for Los Santos, the golden city of opportunity, on social media. And so his mind was made up.

He packed up everything he had and moved, excited to find a city of chances waiting to be taken, but the reality was a harsh surprise. Kihara was stripped of his belongings and money almost immediately, and he saw a large split in the city. There were those on the bottom, either robbing or grinding out any living they could manage, and those who had made it to the top, driving nice cars and living in penthouse lofts. It was a rough sight to see, but he knew that no-one would just put a silver spoon in his mouth. He had to earn it himself.

He had to grind out his own life in the city.

But soon he noticed other men and women who were struggling to do the same. Stuck in a vicious cycle of robbery and poverty, and an idea struck him. He would hide it as long as he could, but he would bring his own sort of family to Los Santos to help those in need. For some reason he clung to the ideals of the Yakuza, from his mother's homeland of Japan. Crooked men who would murder you at the drop of a pen, but who still gave to charity and treated each other as a family. It was an odd sort of paradox, but it fit with Kihara somehow.

And so he formed the Ikigai-Gumi, Los Santos' own Yakuza family. Ikigai was their word for a "reason to live", something that would motivate each of us to get up and keep moving each day.

Now all that was left, was to bring those in who needed help most..

    =- The Code -=

    - We are a family above all else. We take care of each other and we help each other. When we aren't working, we bond with each other and grow together.

    - Any sort of legal worker, or simple citizen, such as Miners, Farmers, Couriers, and other workers, are off limits. We're here to grind out our own living, and despite being seen as good for nothing men and women we do have morals.

    - Whilst with us, wear our colors with pride. We don't seek to hide away or cower, and we take pride in our family.

    - We are not petty thugs, so do not act as such. Any squabbles or issues are handled promptly then left to the side, and moved on from. We also aim to avoid stepping on any toes, and squabbling in the streets will only hold us back from that.

    =- The Goals -=

    - Grow our numbers. Our greatest strength is in our bonds with each other, and we seek to offer a helping hand to all those who need it.

    - Secure a home for the family to work from. It would improve morale and presence to have somewhere to turn in at the end of the day.

    - Secure steady income through some form of business, whether legal or otherwise. If possible we would like to operate on both sides of the badge.

    - Improve relations with the other gangs and organizations within Los Santos. The more friends we can make the better off we and the city will be.

    =- The Style -=

Much like the Yakuza in the homeland of Japan, we wear dress clothing during our day to day lives and during our work.

    416997959_Stranger3136_4917-1569464491678.png.13d8708c28b37ad5a196bb94748ba641.png

Our mask is a bit on the side of less serious, but still carries a certain image of the homeland, and felt fitting.

    =- Closing Words -=

If you see us in the streets among you, fear not, for we simply wish to make our own way and live among you in this city.

Those who wish to join the family, feel free to speak up and join us, and help us all grow together.

Best of luck, and thank you all for your time.

See you all on the streets.

Good to see another Asian style gang come around.

Hopefully this one beats the task of time.

We hope to make an impression on the city at the very least. There are far too many petty thugs ruining people's lives. We aim to give them a home and a way to grow.

I simply hope we can hold the same influence the Triads do. You're an example to follow, no doubt.

Nothing but respect for you all.

    =- Who we are -=

Everyone has lost something in life. Loved ones, possessions, health, even a part of our souls from time to time.

We are a group of individuals who have all lost something dear to us. What that loss is matters not. We simply aim to fill the void with purpose. We wish to extend that opportunity to Los Santos. With us you can replenish your funds lost, gain material worth in the world, or simply find happiness in the comfort of a family.

The Clan is put first above yourself however. Everything we do in life, is for the Clan. We help each other, work with each other, live amongst one another, and keep everyone else moving forward together.

In a city that would pull us apart at the first chance it got, we must stay together and stay strong.

So band together Brothers and Sisters, and join us as we grow into a family no struggle can tear apart.

Today is the day. Today, you fulfill your Destiny!

    =- The History -=

Many moons ago, there were three friends. These men had come together with the passion to rebuild their lives after loss had shifted their lives for the worse. So these men built a group in the small town of Yankton, known as the Oni Clan. They followed the methods of the Yakuza in Japan, growing their wealth and power through various illegal activities. And for a time all was well in the world. The Rida and his friends grew and grew, filling the void that the world had thrust upon them. It seemed that they were on a path to becoming one of the strongest gangs in Yankton, and their reputation had grown to precede them at every turn.

But a dark cloud soon fell on the Rida. His brothers, who he had built a new life with and grown with, turned on him, with no reasoning or explanations, and left him stranded with nothing. And so the broken man vowed revenge. He crawled to Los Santos, making an oath to himself to rebuild his Clan and seek vengeance on those who had turned on him.

Upon arriving in the city, the man set out to find other broken souls who had flocked to the city in search of purpose. Before long he stumbled upon a man, Shinigami, we call him. The Rida and his new brother bonded over their wounds, and the first step to rebirth was taken. Shinigami brought in his own brother, Akira, to help bolster their small brotherhood. Not long after, a man who went by Bento joined them as well, and they finally had the makings of a strong crew to work from. The men felt a sense of belonging, a new purpose, where before they had wandered blindly.

And so the Oni Clan was reborn from the muck, slowly growing back into it's previous form.

    No...

This was a new form, a better form. This iteration of the Clan would not suffer the same heartbreak as before. They will rise again, and reach the old heights of the glory days.

    The Oni-Clan has returned.

    =- The Goals -=

    • The Clan seeks to become a well known and highly respected organization within the city and even beyond it's borders.
    • The Clan seeks to earn enough money to start up a business of some sort, for further solidified monetary income.
    • The Clan seeks to swell it's ranks to be seen as a force within the city. Not necessarily of violence, but simply as another major group within the politics of the city.
    • The Clan seeks to be loved by the common folk, and feared by those in our way.

It will be a long road to reach these goals. But with perseverance and determination we will reach them.

It is only a matter of time.

    =- Our Principles -=

    • The Clan does not attack unprovoked, or for any personal vendetta. Petty squabbles only serve to set us back from our goals.
    • The Clan protects our fellow men and women in hard labor. Attacking those simply seeking to grind out their own living in this world is dispicable, and will be treated as such, with deadly force if need be.
    • The Clan strikes hard, and strikes fast. Big voices and big guns are rarely necessary with the right focus. A single strike to the throat is better than many to the chest.
    • The Clan does not seek to make enemies, and does not wish to have them. We have no interest in those who are not directly in our way, unless we are furthering ourselves with some form of partnership.
    • The Clan puts the Clan first, and individuals second. This is true of even the Rida themself. We share our lives, and work towards the same goal together. Our individual needs pale in comparison.
    • If the Clan feels any need to engage in side jobs for extra monetary gain, they are then treated as normal Citizens. Removing your Face sets you aside for the time being, until you see fit to return to duties.

    =- The Rankings -=

The following is how each member is seen within the clan for the time being.

With enough work and dedication to the goals of the Clan, and a show of selflessness for the purpose of pursuing those goals, individuals will see improvement and promotion within our ranks.

    -The Rida-

The Rida is the head of the Clan. Their way is absolute and final, and all decisions made are made final by the Rida.

They do not however hold themself above the selflessness of the other members, still working entirely to further the group as a whole, rather than themselves.

They are a guiding light to broken men and women all throughout the land, a beacon to a better life.

    -The Samurai-

This individual is the Right Hand to the Rida, and acting leader in the Rida's absence. They are in direct contact with the Rida at all times, and carry on his word as though it were coming straight from the Rida's own lips.

The Samurai is also an acting leader of the lower ranks, working firsthand to lead them in their activities and goals.

They seek to help the Clan rise to prominence and fill the void that we all now feel.

    -The Yakuin-

This is an individual who carries a fierce determination, and an even fiercer heart, working hard to someday step up to be a Samurai themselves. These individuals are responsible for overseeing the Ronin and Senshi training to rise up to Yakuin themselves someday.

They act as shepherds, guiding those still lost to finding purpose and worth in the broken world we grind out our existence in.

    -The Ronin-

These men and women show promise within our ranks, hoping to bolster the Clan's presence and find their own worth among us. They train hard to someday lead newer lost souls to find the same purpose they themselves are searching for now.

These are the meat of the Clan, working hard to fulfill any duties asked to help further the Clan.

    -The Senshi-

These individuals are broken and unpolished, still fresh in their loss of worth. We take them in and show them that there is a chance to rebuild and find much more than they could have ever dreamed possible.

That said, they are given the opportunity to leave if they are not a good fit for our methods and ways. Some stay, some find their worth on their own. Either way, we take them in and set them on that road to recovery.

    =- The Visual Code -=

We do not seek to restrain your own sense of representation, but we do have a few requirements to keep in line with when representing the Clan.

    • While we have no official Dress Code or Uniform as of yet, we require that every Ronin keep a mask, fashioned after the Oni of ancient Japan. We also ask that you keep to some uniform color scheme for yourself. Matching helps us to distinguish you from your brothers and sisters, and to help you show some sense of self-worth, rather than a tattered visage of a mortal.
    • We have no requirements on your personal vehicle, though we ask that it keep to your own color scheme you've chosen, again to help distinguish yourself amongst our ranks. We do also ask that the vehicles you present for use with the clan be Practical. A small car that can hold neither Clan nor Cargo serves no use to us, and will be seen as wasted potential.

[Work in Progress in regards to possible growth of uniform scheme]

    =-Recruitment-=

The Oni wander the streets among you all, making connections and friends amongst the crowds of Los Santos.

These men and women seek to watch and weigh the world around them, finding likeminded broken souls to bring into their fold. If you find yourself feeling empty and worthless, watch the corners and alleys for their eyes. They might just be your way out of that void.

Keep in mind however, we do not seek petty thugs and two bit gangbangers. Squabbles and feuds serve no purpose and are a waste of our valuable time and even more valuable resources. If you do not show promise, you will be told as such. But that does not mean you are barred acceptance.

Should you fail to pass muster, take a step back and value what is most important, and when you believe you have found the correct path, try, try again.

    =- Final Words -=

If you find us among you in the streets of the city, be not afraid, unless you are there to halt our progress.

We don't aim to cause wanton slaughter of the masses or disruption of the day to day cycle of things.

We simply aim to regain what we have lost.

Stay safe, and may you all find worth in the waking world.

Ahh well.. Finally managed to get a real bed! Rented out a cozy little apartment from a guy named James... uh.... Sardinsky? I think? Hopefully spelled it right.

So things are looking up! Now just to get the whole... networking thing down...

    Cheers for now!

Wait.... do I have to sign off in my own journal?...... ahh fuck it.

  11. Hi there everyone. My name is Ringo, I go by Bento among friends, feel free to use that if you'd like!

Onto the meat of this ad. I'm looking for employment as a Driver. Nothing more nothing less, and I'm not overly picky on who it's for within reason. I just want to drive. I like driving, I'm planning on putting in an application to be a cabbie at some point, and I'm also willing to be a chauffeur or Dedicated/Designated driver for a group! We can use your car or mine, but be warned mine is still fairly low end performance wise for now. Working on that part as well.

Feel free to text me about any questions or suggestions even on how to go forward! My number is 214-4739.

    Thanks all!

    -Ringo 'Bento' Glassow

  12. Well, here we are at what might be the lowest point of the few months I've been in the city so far. Still quiet as far as networking goes and money is low but steadily coming in... and as I tried to adjust prices to offload some of my old cars, I accidentally got my good one towed to the impound by some a super helpful Mechanic..
No issues on that part and it was just him doing his job, but come to find out at impound I had a misdemeanor on my record that I didn't realize was there....

So here we are... Cop was nice though! And luckily it's small.

Hit me up once you are up for hunting, I will gladly show you around. My name is David Moretti and cell phone number is #3925509

Will do David. Pleasure to meet you. I'll be in touch soon!

I would gladly take you with me for a hunt let's say, meat makes really good earnings for shorter periods of time.

And as you said, since you are "new citizen" around here, I would recommend Paul's farm. Being a farmer really gives you good earnings for someone who just moved in.

    Good luck !

Wouldn't be against a hunt. Good skill to pick up. And I'll have to try my hand at farming. Had another guy recommend it. Been spending some time in the mines here lately, seems to be a fun quick way to make decent money.

I appreciate the application notice, and I'll definitely look it over. But I think I'm still too fresh to the city. I'd have to sign up with ya'll once I know the city a little better.

  16. Hi all. I'm looking for any kind of work folks may need done. Not really in a market to be picky about the details, just want something to do that would pay more than my current situation as a Courier.

Don't get me wrong. I love delivering stuff, so that work would be amazing, but anything will do.

Glad to hear it. Hope I can manage to scratch out some kind of living. Been doing courier work so far. Had a rough time with money delivery. Think I accidentally sent a man to the ER. He came flyin' around the corner and slammed head on into the truck.

((Apologies. Wasn't aware, and there's not really anything to say about him thus far. No real connections or major events. Is it possible to update this as I go? Like a journal almost?))

  18. Am I filling this out right? Not sure...

Um, hi. I'm Ringo, last name Glassow, said like Glahz-ow. I'm uh... 26, from Tennessee, born and raised in the mountains near Nadsville. Lotta big name music stars and their pompous kids sticking their noses up at me as a little kid. Didn't bother me too much as a kid, but it was definitely frustrating later on in life. I think around 15, 16 maybe? When I was starting to get into the job market..

It wasn't a bad thing necessarily, but... a lot of the higher up positions had been taken up by some of those snobby rich kids.. No room for improvement over someone with that many connections.. But I still kept my chin up and tried my best to claw my way up the ladder, at one point even managed to get a decent pay raise at one job... But... I was staying in a shitty run down apartment, in a horrible neighborhood, working 3 different jobs and still barely making ends meet. Needless to say it sucked...

Then I saw an ad on Bleeter, 'bout a city way out west. Los Santos, it was called. Land of opportunity apparently. I figured the horrible day to day was enough in Nadsville so I packed up and moved. Ended up with only one bag and my car. Managed to get to Los Santos, but my car and bag got stolen the very first night. Some tough guy with a scar I think, not really sure.

Eh.. now I just... start from the bottom I guess.. World is my oyster eh? Wonder what that even means anyway..
