@JasmineI am most certainly not missing the sale price. The sale prices of fuel at these stations is easy enough to come by. I need to know what the costs behind it are, so we can come up with something amicable for all parties, as stated multiple times before. We aren't trying to attack rich people. We aren't trying to screw over any one. It's awesome that Stefanie is helping folks with low prices, but that in no way entitles her to free deliveries. As I have said many, many times on this thread, we aren't seeking to gouge, only to come to an amicable solution. I will ask you directly: Is the fuel volume taxed 35%, or is the tax a 35% income tax? This is the biggest question I have at this time, and the one piece of data that is missing from our end of the equation.
-
@chaciak I am trying to get to the bottom of the tax thing, but no one has given me a straight answer. Is the 35% tax a tax on fuel volume, or is it a tax on income?
-
@Jasmine We have tried, but received no responses, or "tough shit, you get what you get." I do appreciate that you've come to the table to negotiate, though. As stated previously, we're not trying to muscle out anyone, but we want better rates for our deliveries. We need data and numbers from you retailers to achieve that. Our goal is to make deliveries consistent, AND have fair prices for all parties involved.
-
@Jasmine @Com783 If you want to assist with providing us some numbers, and clearing up my earlier questions, that would be greatly appreciated. It's not our aim to push out honest business owners, but the strike and boycott was necessary to bring the retailers to the table. Calling us bullies doesn't benefit anyone, as we're trying to come up with an amicable solution for all of us. Here's the data I'm currently working with: 1 liter of fuel = 10 units of volume. 200k volume of fuel = 20k liters. 20k liters costs the retailer $5/liter. $100,000. I am unclear on how this 35% tax is applied. Is it a tax on the fuel, or is it income tax? Your advertising budget isn't our responsibility, although it does seem very, very expensive. I would be willing to assist you in lobbying for a better deal from Weazel News, as well.

You will need to apply for a Teamster's license, then.

Very fair, sir!

@Com783 I told you, the manifest reads 200k liters. When we fill up the tank for delivery, it says 200k liters. That's 200k liters. It doesn't matter what numbers display on your end to us, because we can't see those and don't know what's going on with your end of things. This boycott and strike got your attention, but we can always continue the boycott and strike if you're unwilling to negotiate. As Truckers, we would rather return to work with a solution that is amicable for everyone. I am still in need of clarification on your end. One load of fuel costs you how much exactly? Is the fuel taxed by 35% or is your income taxed by 35%?

@Com783 What we want are merchants to come to the table and negotiate, just like you're doing. I'm sure we can work a deal out that benefits all of us.
-
@Com783 This is exactly the kind of negotiation we need to see from merchants. That being said, what you're offering is still extremely low. 200k litres of fuel is 200k litres of fuel. It says it right there on the manifest. Let's look at what it would cost you for the fuel, not factoring in our shipment first. Then, we'll take a closer look at this to get something fair for everyone. The main issue we have is that we're being paid so little that we can't keep our rigs running, due to mechanical failures. Some of our guys are having trouble feeding themselves and their families. I have some points that need clarification from your end, if you could help me out? It costs you $5/liter to import, for 200k litres: end cost of $1,000,000, correct? Is the 35% tax applied to your income, or to the fuel? Your store's location is an issue, because it is farther away. Logistically, it costs us more to deliver to you than other stores.

This delivery for Don'sDeals will sit in the yard until they come up with some real offers. 10,000 units of water costs $10k to deliver.
-
@Com783 25,000 units of fuel = $25,000 delivery fee. Like I said earlier, we're open to negotiation, but $25k to make 175k is still a great return for the shopkeeper.
-
@Com783 We want $1 per unit for fuel and goods, or $2k-3k per automobile. We're willing to negotiate to something that is fair for everyone, though.
-
$1 per unit for fuel and small goods, and $3k per car, or NO DELIVERY.

No more gas runs to Hayes Gas or WeazelStore until they get their act together and pay us truckers a fair transport rate. $1000 for delivering $2,000,000 worth of fuel is unreasonable. The truckers will be boycotting these predatory practices by delivering the gas, RIGHT TO YOUR DOORSTEP.

+1 to being drunk and not knowing you're injured. I was an EMT for a few years before I changed careers, and I've seen drunk or high on hard drugs like pcp, heroin, or meth shrug off tasers from the police and otherwise severely injure themselves and keep going; Usually when a normal person would be going in to shock.

I think this is why the original poster suggested adding effects for drugs. There need to be pros to using the drugs as well as cons, but balancing them and making them so they're not overpowered is important. I would really like to see the drug trade improve as well in this regard. It's also kind of odd to me that drug labs can't be set up by players in clandestine locations. It would give the police a lot of other stuff to do as well, and create a niche for vice detectives.
