I don't have the first clue about criminal DM precedents, I'm a cop. My faction rules are more or less the server rules

So you understand them or you don't? I believe with the recent DM changes it will be more critical than ever for people to learn from decisions staff make on reports.

How do you know what the community wants though? This thread has been going for ten days, the change has been active for a little longer and we're about half way through page two. While that doesn't necessarily imply they are happy about the change, it would seem either people are fine with it or they simply don't give enough of a fuck to talk one way or another.

For some of you, I don't think how the report system is set-up is going to make a lick of difference, because some of you will run into trouble regardless of how things are set-up. 😅

As for a happy community, business is booming, baby. Majority of active players in the community aren't on here complaining about stuff, they're playing. I don't know what the reason was for this change, but I can see what benefits it would bring when it comes to making these decisions.

Regardless of the change, I think staff could and should do a better job explaining their stance on certain areas of the rules, particularly when significant precedents are set. An individual's report isn't the place for that, it's something that deserves it's own section and for them to state clearly what the change is, why it was changed and what it means for the future.

This thread does not represent the entire community's thoughts nor should it.  If you want the community's opinion you have to first ask them for it, and then inform them of the changes. We really need a poll system where important changes are voted upon by a majority of the community.

This change was made after one person suggested that it be hidden to prevent people from seeing it during a community discord meeting which is only 1 person's opinion. No one was informed that this change would occur, or if we had a say it.

Staff wouldn't have to explain anything if the community could openly watch the report section as it develops, even organize it to specific examples of what not to do and use it as a training material as a lot of our rules are broadly written.. hence the recently 50+ scenarios staff are trying to write up which could be done with past video rule breaks.

It may be that the item does not have door functionality setup by the GTA developers and the door just acts as a solid object. What is the inventory name of the furniture item? It will need to be removed from the furniture store.

Interesting.. it is the only glass door we have so I am not sure of the name.. I can't even find it in a list of normal GTA5 doors. If you do remove it, is it possible to add some other options as we have such a limited selection for glass stuff

Issue/bug you are reporting: The only full glass door (black) does not move, character does not interact with it. Can't open or close regardless of locked or unlock.

Expected behavior:  Character can push/interact with door

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Purchase the glass door and place in an interior, then attempt to push it open

Yes, but it's a gaming community, not a court of law. Not every one is comfortable being the bad guy and no one is paid to be. Decisions don't need to be judged by the player base. As long as you know what rules you need to follow, it doesn't matter what happens to other people.

I'm sorry I completely disagree with this statement. As staff you are required to make hard decisions based on the evidence and the rules, not emotion. If staff are using emotions to decided a report because they don't want to "be the bad guy" they shouldn't be taking the report at all. Having reports open just shows the community that there isn't any special treatment or wildy varying decisions based on the same evidence and that's super important.

  6. +1 this can lead to unfair treatment or biased treatment as the result of the report can't be compared to previous similar scenarios where the result may be conflicting. I do think privacy is nice but ultimately the transparency is key to uderstanding rules, punishments, decisions behind the punishment and if the decision reflects pervious similar situations. To balas point, staff should not being making decisions based on public opinion but rather rooted in cold hard facts and previous rulings as well as accordance to the rules.

  7. Nothing about credit cars changes the value of the super because none of the credit cars can be traded. Sure it means you have a car other people might have now, but it's still rare and hard to obtain. The ETR is a great example of a car that was previously in the credit store for a short while and whittled down to 1 in the city until recently. The biggest hit to rare cars was the ones added back into the dealership, making it widely available and dropping the price to whatever stock is.

  8. I think because of the connection to alias a face mask provides its not about RP it's about hiding identity and that's why ooc removal happened not because people role play with a mask on. If they disassociated the two while on freelance then I wouldn't mind it being an IC issue. I also think it should be an appropriate mask for the job like roadworkers wearing protective mask not a penguin mask. Would a gopostal faction really allow people to drive wearing a penguin mask and represent their company that way? No

  9. -1 if you are working a freelance job it should force you into a uniform because that's realistic to expect the company to make you wear a uniform. Wearing a mask while doing roadwork is the only exception I see here as it was given an IC pass because of the debree you might inhale. other than that I don't see it as realistic especially if we are talking about alias which is another problem.

  10. +1 add more furniture if possible, the selection is really limited compared to what you could have in GTA5 assets and we've seen this in some of the new MLO's that utilize furniture we don't have access to.. even simple stuff like more desks for crying out loud there is like 2 desks and 10 tables. As far as pricing goes, some items are really just decoration and serve little purpose and should be much less expensive.

Issue/bug you are reporting: GoPostal job sometimes will send you to the next delivery without sufficient amount of packages and leads to you arriving to the location, sometimes very far away from the refill only to find out you have no packages left on the truck.

Expected behavior:  GoPostal job will route back to the refill before running out. If the truck has a only 2 packages and the next job requires 3 either reduce the amount of required packages or send back to refill before doing the job.

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Just do some GoPostal for a little while and this happens every so often. Not every time.
