With the 2 hour max we noticed that criminals were using that information to go all out. Essentially, if they already had a couple of reckless driving charges and other small crimes that hit the limit they would then instigate shootings with PD or other criminals not caring about jail as they know they've already reached the max possible time.

The point of no max jail sentence is to encourage players to think smart and not try and rob every living person they see anywhere on the map. Plan carefully in a secluded area and chances are you will make it out.

I agree - We want players to think smart and be cautious, but at the same time we want players to be able to roleplay a criminal without being forced into prison for ridiculous amounts of time.

  2. I'm not a fan of the huge increase to prison times. Whilst it's fun roleplaying a criminal and occassionally getting arrested, anything more than 2hrs in prison is excessive and detracts from the fun of roleplaying a criminal.

I'm all for prison roleplay and I get extending sentences may boost the prison population but it does get boring after a while. I value the deterrent to committing crimes and the consequences for actions if caught, but that needs to be balanced up against deterring people from roleplaying criminals altogether.

It's also weird that cops aren't allowed to camp known criminal spots, or camp the foundry/fishing spots, but criminals can camp them so they can chain rob civilians.

Cops can camp the foundary or fishing spots. Drug labs etc cannot be built anywhere which is a script limitations..therefore its unfair for cops to camp it.

  4. Make it so you can toggle different clothing on/off.

If you toggle it off, the clothing item should go in your inventory.

This way you can put on and take off accessories i.e. hats, glasses, shoes, shirts, pants etc.

  5. Date and time (provide timezone): 10/Jun/2019

    Character name: James Dickson

Issue/bug you are reporting: Can't type in chat with Mini MDC open

Expected behavior:  Should be able to type in chat with the Mini MDC open

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Open the mini MDC in a police car (ctrl+m) and try and press T to type in chat

    Vehicle license plate number*: N/A

+1 I can see a small demand for this. A few times on my PD character I was asked to re-imprison someone OOC as they were involved in RP.

One that I remember well was 2 friends who got imprisoned at the same time for the max time. However, one had VIP so was let out 30 minutes earlier than the other. They must have both been enjoying it inside as they both asked me to imprison the other when he was released.

Maybe instead of automatic ejection from prison, you could get a notification stating your time is up and you can use /leaveprison to leave. People that go AFK and may miss the notification, when they do /jtime it should display the notification again.

One hundred percent this is my suggestion 😄

This would make the prison more lively and create a lot more prison roleplay

I could see how popping right out of prison could be annoying mid rp.

I would however put a time limit of like 30 minutes that the command could be used before it just auto boots someone out after their time is up just so people don't just stay in prison.

Why? Why not let people stay in prison as long as they wish so they can bring in some prison RP?

  8. As the title says there should be an option to stay or leave prison when your time is up.

It's really frustrating when you are in the midst of some really good prison roleplay when your time or someone elses time suddenly expires and you automatically teleport out of prison.

What should happen is you should get a notification saying "Your prison sentence is over. Type /releaseme when you are ready to leave the prison".

  9. Thirst & Hunger shouldn't kill you, instead it should only make you limp and unable to run, perhaps give you some crazy effects on your screen.

Reason being is this: You could be in a lengthy RP with someone when all of a sudden that person needs to eat i.e. a person has been running from the cops, gets arrested and then suddenly dies of hunger thus avoiding jail.

This is just one example of how death by starvation or thirst can really interupt good roleplay. If thirst and hunger weakens people but not kills them, people would still buy food and drink from stores but it would not interrupt their roleplay.

Yes to this. There needs to be notifications for the police for many activities too. People will try to rob you while you're in a store changing clothes, one would expect a store clerk and camera to be able to alert police.

Notifications for excessive speeding and shooting within some parts of the city too.

People shouldnt be able to be robbed in stores imo. Should be against rules given that people would be in the menus
