  1. I've had this before but I just relaunched my game and it worked. Didn't realise it had anything to do with Shadowplay. Thought it was just a rare GTA V crash and nothing related to the server/gt-mp.
  2. I'll keep that in mind then, hope everyone knows about this as well.
  3. Out of chance I now see the rule has been changed. You no longer state if you do or don't have to roleplay with someone, does this automatically mean you have to interact with someone? Or does the old rule still stand that you don't have to roleplay with someone if you don't want to? EG someone interacts with /me's and /do's, can you just walk away still? I'm not talking about avoiding police in a car chance, but like I said if I interact with someone, they have to respond now?
  4. Would love to hear an official response about this, I know this is something a lot of people agree should be removed/altered.
  5. DarkRP has always been a very light rp experience so it isn't so bad, it's where I started off with 'roleplay' games and I still consider it a fun gamemode, but it's full of 12 year olds.
  6. It sucks that this is a topic a lot of people are fussing over, but it's the fact people keep saying Brazilians and no other countries are 'targetted'. All it is, is that if you can't roleplay, you'll eventually be banned, if you can't understand and have no way of understanding what people are saying, there's no reason to be here. Some are annoyed that people use translators, personally, I don't care, but if we have roleplay where things aren't translated properly it becomes an issue for some because there's a communication barrier. If anything this makes the roleplay more diverse when you go out, do you not run into people with broken English? Those who are expecting PERFECT English are asking for too much. Server goes on as normal, if someone is breaking the rules, report them it's that simple. When they continue to rule break they eventually get banned. We don't need to be watching over a particular nationality of players(plus there's no way of checking anyway).
  7. Normal refresh and Ctrl + F5 never fixed it for me sadly.
  8. People are running into issues where they cannot see the box to input text, here's a quick way to get it to show up 100% of the time. Just go into Inspect Element like so Then click the 'Toggle Device Toolbar' icon as shown below Now refresh the page and wait for it to load. Once it's loaded you can toggle it off and you should now see the text box as normal. I tried this 5 times and it worked every time, also got a friend to try it and it worked for them first go as well.
  9. People should be allowed to choose if they want to drive off, the risk for driving off is a jail sentence of course and it's a risk the player is taking in doing so. I see what's being said that if a player is roleplaying as a normal civilian, then they shouldn't drive off, but saying they're not allowed to is restricting their roleplay. Imagine seeing an FC "They're a normal civilian and they drove off and they shouldn't do that because they never break the law.". Players don't have to be the same as they were in the past, people change.
  10. Wrong Application Identifier means you're using the wrong mod, are you sure you're using GT-MP and not GTA:N?
  11. It's odd so many people have this issue, I park my car near the trucking yard and go trucking, never blows up on me while I'm out, same if I go fishing, my cars always there. It's probably 'blown up' about 2-3 times since I've purchased my car maybe a week ago. I'm looking forward to it getting fixed as well though, but I don't have it this bad.
  12. Currently it states "Players are not required to engage in roleplay by the server rules". According to this rule, if a player acts upon you with a /me, you are not required to reply back with your actions, and you may simply run away. This rule basically makes this a free roam server if we are not required to roleplay with another player. The whole rule should simply state, if a player acts upon you, you're required to roleplay back. The whole rule is also confusing as when people read it, you say they can avoid the police and you'll simply drive off, but that isn't avoiding rp, it's how you're reacting to it. Ignoring a player in character isn't avoiding rp, it's simply ignoring them which of course leads to the other player doing whatever action he needs to do.
  13. 99% chance people are doing this is because there are no other popular servers, and that there is barely an international community, it's mostly English and German based at this time, so they go to an English one as most countries learn it as a second language(except for that case). I don't believe a whitelist is an answer, rules should be made instead, this guy was smart but using Google Translate just to play a server is no way to be playing. How would a whitelist stop these kinds of people as well? I'm from Australian and I wouldn't join a server that required me to speak to someone to 'verify' I can speak English well enough. Sure it takes a minute, but you also have to wait for an admin to be online, and the backlog of players wanting to join will build and there goes all the potential players the server could be receiving. They should be reported for fail-rp if they can't roleplay properly, they can be dealt with that way. If they can't understand you then yes maybe they shouldn't be on the server. My valid reason is that I don't want a criminal record, why should I be forced to pull over just because I don't carry an illegal weapon or because I haven't recently committed a crime? This is just forcing players into situations created by rules which is a bad way to run a server. You're basically saying "you can't play with friends and hang around in a group". No. If there is a group of people mugging, LSPD needs to deal with it, if there's none on, they should be hiring. AFAIK for right now, it seemed like they're redoing everything so they're not hiring until that's done. If they ignore you when you're mugging them, shoot them, you have a reason to. FearRP I'm 50/50 on light rp servers, it's good to have, but then people can say they're roleplaying as some kind of thug so therefore they have a valid reason. This isn't a heavy RP server and I feel you'd like it a lot better on one. That's another situation for LSPD to handle, again this is light rp so such expectations aren't here. TBH just seems like a lot of lazy people who don't wanna make applications for heavy rp servers, most complaints I see are those who want high standards of roleplay, why come to a light rp server for heavy standards of rp? Out of this whole thing, the only thing I agree with is getting rid of players who cannot speak English properly or understand it because it is an English server and if they can't understand or read it, they shouldn't be here. As for a system of actually checking? I don't know but if they're caught not understanding then they should be dealt with in some way(maybe a perma ban and they can appeal when they can show they have a better understanding of the English language.)
  14. So pressing Y to get rid of the cursor and trying again didn't bring up the menu? Whenever it doesn't show up I just close the menu and open and it usually comes up second try.
  15. How come you need to have better ping? I run at 300+ and it's rarely that bad. Having a VPN comes with security risks such if other users use the same VPN, it'll look like you're ban evading if someone on that IP had been banned.
  16. "A sheriff department with 5 members" 5 members isn't going to cover all timezones, plus a majority of the time you're going to need someone to back you up as well, more like 20 would be suitable, but I don't think we have the player base for another police faction yet.
  17. Account name: MrPancakers Character name: Travis Clifton Issue/bug you are reporting: Car Modifications aren't priced/setup correctly, explanation below. Evidence (optional): I have a car and I went to upgrade the engine, to upgrade it to 4/5 it was $21,000(so $7,000 each upgrade). Now when I go back and I want the fifth upgrade, it's $28,000(it should be $7,000 as each upgrade increased the price by 7k). I assume prices are not multiplying one variable, but instead, you're manually setting each price. Make it so there's a variable (eg 7k) and you simply times that by how many times you'll be upgrading that engine. It's a little insane that buying 3 upgrades is $21,000 but then buying the last is $28,000.
  18. Using that massive jail just at the top of LS would be handy, then at that point we should be raising the jailtime, I was surprised it's only 60 minutes, feels more like a Cops and Robbers server being that short, especially if you murder multiple people 60 minutes is a slap on the wrist.
  19. Light Roleplay I see it as not a lot of detail and quick and simple interaction. Light roleplay still runs like a real world and things still have to be realistic, but your actions don't always have to be done through /me and /do. It's very basic, but everything is the same concept, IMO it just means you don't have to explain what you're doing, you can just go straight to the commands. Heavy Roleplay you have to put effort and describe your actions when you do them, handing over a license? you can't simply do /license <id>, you're expected to do a /me line before handing over your license, same goes with interactions like paying someone. Things like fixing a car you'd need to roleplay doing properly. you clearly have never played SA-MP, they hand out 2 hour jails and you're back, you think 2 days is nothing?
