  1. Most of the supers that were in the game in 2017 were available through dealerships like any other vehicle, but they were later removed because literally every criminal had a super and it made things incredibly unrealistic. Also, the rusty tractor was available through the credit store in 2017, and I was one of the unfortunate souls who spent real money on one. I usually leave the stupid thing somewhere on the map for people to RP with and every once in a while I either see someone driving it, or I get a call from the police about someone running away on it.

Date and time (provide timezone): May 17, 2020

    Character name: James Jabumpkin

Issue/bug you are reporting: Unable to import melees weapons

Expected behavior:  Click import, trucking order goes in

Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate:

Following the ammo addition to gun stores, I am no longer able to import any of the melee weapons. Upon clicking the import button, it tells me the item is currently unavailable to import.

  3. The current system for paying for a blip is to wait for your current blip to run out, then call a Weazel employee, hopefully there's one around, and if there is, pay for it. This causes a loss in business revenue for certain businesses, due to the fact that your business is practically invisible for the period between the blip running out and you being able to order a new one. I understand that this system is likely in place to prevent people just buying a blip for literal eternity and never having to go into their business. I personally recommend that you be able to add the maximum of 7 days on your blip, but on the last day before the blip runs out, so that way, you're able to keep your blip up, and still have to go in every 7 days.

  4. We have a couple winners!

So, for this raffle, we decided to do 2 raffles, the first one being a Torero.
The winner of said Torero is...

    ALEX GRANT

After that, we removed the winner from the previous spin and spun the wheel again for an Elegy Retro.
The winner of the Elegy Retro is...

    MOXXI FITZ

The winners of the raffles can contact me at 5206798 to claim their prizes!

We greatly appreciate all the participation in the raffles. Great things have come out of them and several people were left with smiles on their faces when they won lovely prizes. However, with the current state of the gun market, and the prices dropping to almost no profit, we cannot afford to run any raffles. We will be discontinuing the raffles until all gun store owners can decide to meet and settle on prices.

Thank you again for your participation. We hope to come back to the next raffle with a prize that is more than worth the amount of time spent without. Until next time, folks.

Don't think it is. Also, speaking of forum knowledge, you know there's a "Signature" feature right? Don't have to copy paste that whole shabang every time you post something.

I might as well add on, I feel like gangs will always rely on their trusty /report command because the admins will always be on their side. Why?

    1. They are in a "big faction" which automatically means they are an experienced roleplayer, so why would an admin even listen to the little players getting robbed?

    2. They have connections. This is especially true for higher ranked members in their gangs, as they most likely have connections with admins and moderators. Heck, look at jay! He is part of the support staff and hes in a gang! I respect the mods and admins... BUT, I think they should not be allowed in public factions and groups. It is too biased. They should just make their own secret service or something or even better: do their job. Answer questions, provide info, respond to ban appeals, and make eclipse better.

As someone who has been pretty high up in staff and is neither in a gang nor PD, I can tell you that the entire 2nd statement is extremely incorrect. There are staff master policies in place to prevent members of staff from handling reports from their own gangs, factions, etc, to prevent biased action. It's entirely not an issue for staff to be involved in gangs, factions, etc, in fact, it's entirely encouraged. Being in a large group greatly improves your roleplay capabilities and gives you lots of reference to work off of. Let alone the fact that it would be boring as hell to be barred out of 90% of roleplay simply because you're staff. Staff isn't paid to be your personal caterer and supervise an entire server 24/7, they aren't paid at all, but they do it because they enjoy roleplaying on the server, and have been for a long time, and they want to help others get the enjoyable experience that they had.

Since you brought up racing clubs, its actually something that might hinder racing in the future since the speedcap now dictates how fast any vehicle can be. I have planned to make races on the city highway where top speed is a key factor when my faction can actually afford cars of that scale. But this might make it a little less interesting.

As for what you said about upgrades, I agree to some extent as I think that some of the top speeds GTA V cars have from the base game are pretty unrealistic. For example, the Elegy Retro Custom which is a Nissan Skyline R32 should be able to reach around 240-250 kmph. Sure it would make it unstable to drive and it would take a while to reach that speed but its possible. It would be interesting if a script was implemented that allowed 'tuned' cars at LSC or Bayview following some RP could be buffed and made unique on the server similar to PD cars. Its highly unlikely but would be a dream come true in my opinion.

Anyways, I think the way racing is usually done in Eclipse doesn't really need top speed. For example, our faction exists and does races despite the speed limit, so it doesn't hinder much.

The speeds of the vehicles were intentionally dumbed down when creating GTA 5 due to the fact that driving around a 7-mi long map, packed with AI traffic, going 250MPH would make the game a lot less playable. As well as adding a smaller gap between sports cars and super cars. The amount of vehicles, super or not, that could go over 240 km/h is very, very small. A top speed race in GTA to begin with leaves very little to be desired, especially since RPly, they're the same car. The only thing increasing your speed in the cars that COULD go over 240, was your framerate, which has no place in RP in my opinion.

  8. Also, bear in mind, the tax is applied when money is added to your salary, not when it's pulled out. So if you were to receive say a $600,000 check to your salary, you will be pushed into the 35% tax bracket, but the $600,000 will only be taxed the 15% (or 0% with VIP). This works the other way around, as well, if you were to go down a tax bracket by, say, buying a house. The money that's in your salary has already been taxed, there's no changing that.

  9. Looks like with the new clothing inventory, we'll be able to wear both undershirts and tops.

Gloves are listed as Torso's under Rage. The reason why I believe Eclipse hasn't implemented them yet is because each shirt would need its only different glove.

What I mean by this, is say for example you took this outfit (Shirt is Drawable 13) and you put these gloves (Torso is Drawable 37) on it. Looks fine right?

Well let's say that you wanted to change the shirt to this (Shirt is Drawable 202), then the upper arms go missing. This could be fixed, by changing the torso to Drawable 43. But, you can then see how it gets tedious, because nearly every shirt would manually inputting the glove's Drawable, for each glove. Undershirts are similar to this because some undershirts clip through some shirts, but I do believe it would be an easier task than gloves.

Not to mention, clothing ID's are different for the Male and Female models. For example, top ID 100 for the male model is different than top ID 100 for the female model.

So it would be great if the developers took the time to work all all these kinks, but it would a very tedious and lengthy task.

Note that all the screenshots were taken in Rage so it is very possible, but again tedious.

Ah, sorry, I did tinker with the torsos, but I didn't notice they added gloves. I don't think the work needed to implement them is worth sparing precious development time over various other suggestions though, honestly.

  10. +1 on the suggestion, however I did find a few issues.

I went through RageMP's documentation, found here
    https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Player::setComponentVariation
    https://wiki.rage.mp/index.php?title=Player::setProp

And there are no clothing ID's for gloves, which is likely why we do not have them.
Adding gloves would be a RageMP issue, rather than an Eclipse issue.

As for the undershirts, they do work, some of them requiring specific torso variants and whatnot, but the majority of them work with most of the tops, so I believe they should be fixed.

  11. We're throwing in a second chance for the next raffle!
We will be giving away a maxed out Elegy Retro Custom AND a maxed out Torero!

What that means is, once the first winner is chosen, their name will be REMOVED from the wheel, giving everyone else a second chance at winning!

Picture of cars will be up soon in next edit

The raffle begins now and will end on May 3rd! Don't forget to buy in!

  12. Quite honestly, I've never been in their shoes, but I'd imagine with the purchase and designing of a night club / bar, you sink a LOT of money into it, only to net a few spare pennies at the end of a random Friday night. There are several clubs that have managed to be successful due to their connections with various larger members of the community, but the majority of night clubs are generally one or two nights only and then they sell the place.

There are tons of really cool ideas that could be acted on with the buildable properties, but some have yet to come up and others have just straight up failed.

I do agree with you, it would be nice to see these businesses strive, but to be quite honest with you, planning to run a business and actually running a business are two entirely different things.
